“Uh,” she was not sure how to answer. It was the truth, but was that something to be happy about?

Yan Meilin was a little worried that Jiang Yingyue would be reminded of the episode, and her mood would turn foul, but upon seeing her bright eyes, all honest and happy, she breathed a heavy sigh of relief.

“Little girl, I never thought you would be so decisive! You managed to escape the Mu siblings so easily, and without shedding any blood. I was wrong about you, completely wrong about you!” he was not a man who would never admit his mistake, and now he was happy doing so.

“A woman like you, with quick wits and able to stand your ground, you are fit to be the madam of our Han family!”

Jiang Yingyue was completely taken by surprise when she heard what the man was saying. It was as if this old man had completely changed his personality!

Yan Meilin also felt helpless. Han Weisheng was an extraordinary person. He was stern and cold to those he did not like, or those who were not close to him, but upon changing it to those whom he cared about, he was a very energetic and enthusiastic old man.

He had not liked Jiang Yingyue before, but now she had proven herself worthy he found that, although he had claimed not to like her before, he had long since accepted her.

Jiang Yingyue was unaware of whether or not it was suitable to laugh at him, but she held back and nodded her head in the end. “I blew up their mansion,” she said honestly.

“Good, good, good!” he said good three times, which showed just how pleased he was. “Those Mu family members are some real rascals!”

“You do not like them?” Jiang Yingyue could not help but ask.

“I don’t,” Han Weisheng said with a grimace on his face. “When we were young, the old man from the Mu family tried to steal my wife!”

Jiang Yingyue had expected many answers as to why they were not working well together. Anything from the rivaling of power to business deals that had gone awry, but it seemed that it had nothing to do with that, it was all about two men who were arguing about a woman.

Smiling slightly, Jiang Yingyue shook her head. She had to say that the Han family was an affectionate bunch, doing everything for the sake of their other half.

She felt blessed that she would belong to this family in the future.

“Grandfather, I am planning on introducing Yingyue to the family at the upcoming banquet,” Yan Meilin said to Han Weisheng. “We cannot have them married for another two years, but we can at least introduce her first, and then we can get them an engagement ceremony next year, and a year after that, their marriage ceremony.”

Han Weisheng was stroking his beard as he was in deep thought. “Let us do it like that,” he said. “The banquet is taking place quite soon, are you sure that you will be able to prepare her for it?”

“I can do it,” Yan Meilin said with a smile on her face.

Jiang Yingyue, who was standing at the side, was puzzled. Were they going to teach her etiquette, or was there something else that she needed to prepare without knowing?

Soon she found out that it was indeed etiquette lessons. She was going to be introduced to the entire family, and Yan Meilin refused to allow her to be insulted and made fun of.

Hence, she had decided that there should be an etiquette lesson every day until it was time for the banquet.

Later that day, they went to the mall, and Yan Meilin went on a shopping spree, buying everything she laid her eyes on and having it sent back to the mansion.

It was fortunate that she was from a family of billionaires. Otherwise, her shopping spree would be impossible.

After shopping, they dined together while Han Qingshan was still at work. And the days slowly started flowing like water; during the day, Jiang Yingyue would go to the Han Mansion to get lessons in etiquette while Han Qingshan was busy at the office working through a mountain of paperwork which had been piled up for him.

Like this, the time went by fast, and it was soon time for the family banquet to be held.

All the members of the Han family were looking forward to this day, knowing that it would be the day where they would be able to interact with Han Qingshan and his family.

Although they held prestigious positions in the corporation, if they managed to get on the right side of Han Qingshan and his father, they might get a promotion or raise in salary.

At this point in time, the family was aware of the rumors that Han Qingshan had a girlfriend, but they had also heard of the previous rumors about him being gay.

They assumed that the woman he was currently dating was merely a tool used to curb the rumors about him being gay, and thus no one considered the fact that she might be making an appearance at the banquet.

“Mother, I am quite nervous,” Jiang Yingyue said to Yan Meilin as the mature lady was fussing about her, changing her clothes and setting up her hair alongside fixing her makeup.

Jiang Yingyue was still quite embarrassed by referring to Yan Meilin as ‘Mother’, but she had been rebuked by Yan Meilin when she referred to her as ‘aunt’.

They were going to become family one day or another so it should be fine that she called her mother already; especially since Yan Meilin was extremely pleased with being addressed that way.
