Blossoming Flowers - Chapter 230
Han Qingshan knocked on the door and opened it when he heard a sound from the inside.
He was wearing a black suit with a burgundy tie. The burgundy tie was made to match with the color of Jiang Yingyue’s dress, but Yan Meilin had refused to let Han Qingshan see her dress before now, the moment they were supposed to set out for the banquet.
When he opened the door, Han Qingshan was about to say something, but upon laying his eyes on Jiang Yingyue, every word that was about to leave his mouth turned to nothing, and his body instantly stopped in his tracks, his entire body dumbfounded.
In front of him was Jiang Yingyue. She was dressed in an evening gown in burgundy. It was a mermaid-like dress, it was tightly fitted on the upper body, but around the knees, it was flowing outwards, like a cloud.
The dress was backless, showing off Jiang Yingyue’s perfect body, her shoulder blades were exquisite, her spine and the dip in her back were enough to make any man go crazy for her.
Suddenly Han Qingshan started regretting making his mother take over her appearance today. He honestly did not wish to share such an alluring Jiang Yingyue with anyone else.
Jiang Yingyue was unaware of how alluring she looked. She was feeling nervous about the entire banquet thing, but also excited. They were going to announce her relationship with Han Qingshan, and it was clear that it was something to celebrate.
Jiang Yingyue’s hair was tied up on top of her head, showing off her long attractive neck, and the light make up that had been placed on her face was enough to bring out her youthfulness but also her charm.
“You are here,” Yan Meilin said as she saw Han Qingshan completely stunned by Jiang Yingyue. She could not help but snicker slightly when she saw the mixed emotions in her son’s eyes. It was clear that he was not willing to share the woman with others; it was the first time she realized how possessive her son actually was.
Jiang Yingyue had had her back turned to Han Qingshan, but she was slowly turning around. After going through the etiquette classes, every movement that Jiang Yingyue made permeated with grace and elegance. She was as much of a rich young lady as any of their own circle.
Although she now had the grace and elegance of a rich young woman, she had not lost her liveliness and splendor that shone brightly, her genuine smile, and her gentle temper.
To Han Qingshan, this was a fatal allure, her soft eyes, plump lips, white skin. Everything was making it hard for him to hold back from rushing to her side.
“Well, I will go get ready,” Yan Meilin smiled as she looked at her son, who resembled a hungry wolf, who was doing his best to hold back.
“Don’t mess up her hair or her make-up,” she said before she left the atelier, and Han Qingshan advanced as if in a trance, his hands reaching out and grabbing Jiang Yingyue around the waist, pressing her against his chest.
“You look so beautiful today,” he said with a mellow voice, his affection so clear that anyone who looked into his eyes could see undisguised love.
Even someone as dense as Jiang Yingyue could sense the love in those scorching eyes, her heart beating rapidly as she leaned against his chest. “I hope your family will like me,” she muttered slightly.
Knowing that she was worried, Han Qingshan raised his hand and gently caressed her back. “It does not matter if the rest of my family likes you,” he seriously said. “All that matters is that I like you. As long as you have my golden thigh to hug, no one will be able to do anything to you.”
Jiang Yingyu giggled as she enjoyed the feeling of hearing his steady heartbeat against her ear.
The two of them stood together for an unknown amount of time, just hugging one another, feeling complete and blissful.
Suddenly a knock was heard on the atelier door, and Han Liqiang’s voice was heard through it, “Qingshan, Yingyue, we are going downstairs now.”
Sighing deeply, Han Qingshan released Jiang Yingyue. It was time for the banquet to begin.
He held her hand in his, and together they opened the door, only to find that Han Liqiang and Yan Meilin were also wearing matching outfits.
Where Jiang Yingyue and Han Qingshan were wearing burgundy clothes, they were wearing midnight blue.
They looked beautiful together, and Jiang Yingyue could not help but smile when she saw them. She wished that she too would have such a relationship with Han Qingshan, that even when their child, or children, had gotten older and found their own partner, their love for one another would not diminish.
Seeing her hopeful eyes as she looked at Mr. and Mrs. Han, Han Qingshan smiled slightly and squeezed her hand. He was confident that he would spoil her until the day they no longer lived.
He would carry her all their lives; he would love her forever.
Taking a deep breath, Jiang Yingyue steadied herself. She calmed her rapidly beating heart, and her expression softened. A gentle but polite smile appeared on her lips. She was ready to meet the rest of the family.
When Han Qingshan, Yan Meilin, and Han Liqiang saw how she paced herself and took control of her own feelings, they all felt admiration towards her.
Together, the four of them descended from the major staircase in the house. When Jiang Yingyue looked at the hall of the Han Mansion, she found that it was now bustling with life and filled with people.
The moment they started their descent from down the stairs, the many conversations in the hall came to an abrupt end, and they all looked at them curiously, with mixed emotions on their faces.
