Blossoming Flowers - Chapter 236
Jiang Yingyue woke up in the morning feeling confused. The last thing she could recall was that she fell asleep in the car, but now she was lying on the bed within Han Qingshan’s embrace, breathing in his masculine scent that calmed her down and made her feel safe.
She rubbed her head against his chest and felt at peace. Her actions managed to wake up the man though, and his eyes glanced at the mischievous woman in his arms.
She was good at riling him up, making him burn with desire, and then leave him to be on his own.
Since he knew of her previous record of leaving him alone when he was filled with desire, he clasped his arms around her waist and dragged her closer to him, sniffing the scent that was unique to her, and buried his face in the crook of her neck.
His hot breath sprayed on her neck, causing Jiang Yingyue to shiver uncontrollably.
Although they had been together for some time, she was still bashful and embarrassed about certain things, but her adorable appearance just made Han Qingshan even less likely to let her go.
“Enough, it is early in the morning,” she said with a low voice that somehow ended up sounding coquettish, which was in no way her plan.
But the softness of the voice, made Han Qingshan tighten his hold on her, it was as if he wanted to merge them together.
“It is the weekend,” Han Qingshan said with a slightly hoarse voice after just waking up. His eyes were burning, and Jiang Yao dared not look directly at him.
Before she had the time to react, Han Qingshan pushed her down, and soon, his hands began traveling all across her skin, feeling her and assuring himself that she was not a dream. She was real. She was okay.
The two were lying together on the bed, their bodies sticking close as they heard each other’s heartbeat, and silence descended in the room.
The silence was not uncomfortable; both Jiang Yingyue and Han Qingshan felt at peace as they just listened to the other breathe and to their heartbeat.
Han Qingshan was suddenly reminded of something as he caressed Jiang Yingyue’s hair.
“I have signed you up for the Rilou High School’s examination using your own name,” he said gently as he placed a kiss on her forehead.
“You will need to take the exams once more. After taking them, you will be able to apply for Imperial University again, and once more start studying psychology, but this time as yourself.
“The only downside is that the time you start will be just after I graduate. We will not be able to spend time together on campus, but it might be for the best. Many on-campus know about my relationship with the so-called Jiang Fengmian. If I suddenly become close to you, someone might be able to add together what is the truth.”
Jiang Yingyue nodded her head, feeling blessed. Han Qingshan did not say it, but she knew that it could not have been easy to open a space for her. Self-studying was not usually approved of.
Feeling blessed for having him by her side, she rubbed her head against his chest. She knew he would go to great lengths to help her, and she felt immensely grateful.
She was also not against getting help from Han Qingshan. Although what she could do for him was nowhere as much as he could do for her, she would never say no to helping him if the need ever arose.
And this was something she needed, so she happily accepted it. There was no reason to stand on ceremony with her own man.
Seeing her not even pretending not to want it, Han Qingshan’s lips rose into a doting smile and he felt happy when he saw that she treated him as one of her own.
This was precisely what he wanted. After cuddling for a little longer, Jiang Yingyue finally pushed Han Qingshan away before going to wash up and get dressed, so that she could head for the kitchen where she would begin cooking breakfast.
She made a fresh noodle-dish today. It was good for waking them up and making them feel energized again.
The banquet on the previous day had caused Jiang Yingyue to be exhausted from socializing with the other Han family members, but she was also feeling happy that she was so well received by them.
As they sat side by side, Jiang Yingyue gave her parents a call. The call ended up lasting a full hour as she was chatting with her mother about how they had been well received when they returned to the village.
They also found that the villagers had been looking after Jiang Fengmian’s grave for them, in the hope that they would return one day.
Although they had not found jobs yet, they were not dispirited. They had some savings now and had even purchased an apartment with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a sitting room.
One room was for Jiang Yingyue when she came back to visit them. As they spoke together, they were also tearing up, and they were talking about the nostalgic times when Jiang Fengmian was still alive, bringing up their fondest memories, which they had not been able to do for nine years.
It was not only Jiang Yingyue who ended up crying; her mother also had tears streaming down her face, but although there was sadness in their hearts, there was also a sense of relief and happiness.
Being able to talk about Fengmian and admit that they missed him was a new feeling, but also a much needed feeling.
