As they left the condo, Jiang Yingyue was immensely happy. Her lethargic mood turned joyful, and she suddenly felt that the weather was brilliant, the day was beautiful, and that her spirit was soaring.

Going to buy gifts for her parents was simply something to celebrate. Although she knew that her parents would love anything that Han Qingshan bought them, she was also enjoying the fact that he put so much thought into what to buy.

He was very nervous; he felt that no matter what he brought, it would never be enough to show his feelings for Jiang Yingyue.

So, in the end, they went to the biggest mall in the entire capital.

This mall was a place that catered to the upper class of society, everything within was expensive, and if it weren’t for the fact that Han Qingshan was by her side, Jiang Yingyue would never have entered.

Jiang Yingyue had no money. She was not able to buy anything in such a place, and she had no interest in the things either. She understood her situation well, but Han Qingshan was adamant about coming here. He would only get the best of the best items for Jiang Yingyue’s parents, and she understood his thought process, so she did not try to stop him.

Also, money was just a figure to Han Qingshan, it was truly no big issue for him to buy these items, but Jiang Yingyue still felt slightly guilty about spending his money.

As they entered the mall, many recognized them. Han Qingshan was well known throughout the entire capital’s upper circles, and while many were tempted to go and say hello, no one did so.

It was clear that he had come for a purpose and was not to be disturbed.

Han Qingshan was indeed feeling slightly troubled. He never had these issues when working on business deals, but right now, he was so unsure of what to buy.

In the end, he bought numerous health tonics and nutritious delicacies. He also bought bags, clothes, scarves, and other clothing items for Jiang Yingyue’s mother. Having finished their shopping, the two went out to eat. It had been a long time since they had last eaten out, and Jiang Yingyue was feeling lazy.

One thing was cooking and another was to clean the kitchen after the food was eaten. It was better to eat out today.

The two found a high-end hot pot restaurant where they could get some spicy food, and Jiang Yingyue was brimming with a smile on her face.

Han Qingshan shook his head with a smile as he saw her happiness, and the two were in their own world as they enjoyed the meal.

The two were talking together about anything, from how the exams had gone for Jiang Yingyue, to their itinerary the following day.

The place they were going to was quite far away, so Han Qingshan had decided that they were going to take the Han family’s private plane.

They would fly to the nearest airport and from where they would switch to a car and drive the rest of the way.

They would be on the road for the entire day, but it was a lot faster than when her parents went back. They drove the whole day and night before arriving at their home.

Even so, the two of them had been excited and happy. For them, the trip was not bad. Instead, it was a much needed escape that would allow them to adjust their emotions, realizing that they were really returning home.

This was also something Jiang Yingyue needed, and while they were eating, she told everything to Han Qingshan about her life in the village. She talked about Jiang Fengmian and Zhou Yan. She also mentioned the funeral.

Although she was now much more mature, she could not let go of the sadness; she was simply too hurt by the loss of her brother, so her mood turned sour when thinking about Jiang Fengmian.

Sensing the change in her mood, Han Qingshan skillfully changed the subject. He began asking what their plans were, what she wanted to see, and so on.

It was already decided that Han Qingshan and Jiang Yingyue would stay in a hotel in the small village. Although they were visiting her parents, their new home was not so big that it could accommodate them all. They had merely found a house that fit the two of them, so instead of causing some strange situations, Han Qingshan had booked rooms in the village’s only hotel.

It was not a five-star hotel as he was used to, but it was not a bad hotel. It was clean and neat, it just lacked certain facilities and services.

Although Han Qingshan really wanted to share a room with Jiang Yingyue, the two were not married yet, and thus he had booked two rooms next to one another.

Jiang Yingyue knew that Han Qingshan did all of this because he took her family’s wishes into account.

She could not help but see Han Qingshan in a new light. He was simply doing everything for her; she was so happy and blessed.

Han Qingshan could see her happiness, and all his concerns were swept away. He had already met her parents before, and back then they were very gentle and friendly.. He sincerely hoped that it would stay like this now that they were a couple.
