Blossoming Flowers - Chapter 262
Invitations were sent out, many people were ecstatic to receive the invitations, and the entire capital was in a joyous mood.
The media also covered the wedding preparations, both the business section and the entertainment news.
Everyone was eager to know what was happening at the wedding, and soon the more renowned and responsible journalists were also invited to the wedding ceremony to observe and report to the rest of the world just how magnificent it had been.
“Are you sure you are okay here, alone with our mothers?” Han Qingshan asked hesitatingly as he looked at Jiang Yingyue with eyes that almost screamed that she couldn’t’ kick him out, but Jiang Yingyue was steadfast.
“You are not allowed to see my wedding dress before tomorrow at the ceremony. I need both of our mothers to help me prepare. Take dad and return to the Han Mansion. When we see each other tomorrow, then it is time for the wedding to be held.
Earlier that day, Jiang Yingyue and Han Qingshan had gone to get their marriage certificate, but Jiang Yingyue was adamant about not staying together at night. Their wedding ceremony was the following day; she felt that that was when they were really married.
Han Qingshan could not help but pity himself. He had not been sleeping away from Jiang Yingyue for more than a year; he could imagine how difficult it would be to rest without her in his embrace.
Yan Meilin could not help but snicker when seeing her son’s pitiful expression, and she patted him on his shoulder. “Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Do this for Yingyue; she really has put a lot of effort into your wedding tomorrow, and she wants the perfect day.”
Han Qingshan could say nothing when he heard his mother’s words. He knew that this wedding, although initially planned by him, was essential to Jiang Yingyue. She had become more and more involved in the planning, and she had many opinions and requirements. However, all of them were things that were easy to comply with.
She also took most of the tasks onto herself. Although all the money came from Han Qingshan’s pockets, she took over all planning so that he could relax more and not be stressed by both juggling work and wedding planning at the same time.
Han Qingshan knew that she had been busy for the last four months. She had dealt with everything personally. Although he had picked the venue, she had contacted the people who were in charge of it, and she had ensured the right decoration.
She had contacted the florists for flowers everywhere; she had even prepared the menu from scratch, deciding on all three dishes for the main meal, alongside canapes and snacks.
Jiang Yingyue was feeling immensely accomplished whenever she thought about how amazing the wedding was going to be, but she was also nervous. Had she forgotten something? Had she overlooked anything important?
The excitement and anticipation were also within her heart as she looked forward to the next day. She would finally become the Young Madam Han; she would finally become a legal couple with Han Qingshan.
This was what mattered to her. Han Qingshan’s background did not matter, nor did his wealth. What mattered was his person. He was the one she wished to spend her entire life together with. He was the one who had given her the courage to face life, and along with him, she would meet anything that came her way.
Seeing the hopeful face of Jiang Yingyue, Han Qingshan knew he was defeated. He could not go against any of her wishes, even if it were to stay in the condo with their mothers for a night, instead of being with him.
Sighing deeply, he sent Yan Meilin a glance, which she instantly understood, and she left the two love birds alone.
Han Qingshan wrapped his arms around Jiang Yingyue’s waist and dragged her into his embrace.
“My dear, you are so cold-blooded,” he muttered as he lowered his face and captured her lips with his own, kissing her senseless.
It was not a completely gentle kiss, there was a hint of overbearingness and punishment for making him stay without her for a night, but the slightly domineering attitude just made Jiang Yingyue’s heart turn warm.
To think that he would be so disgruntled for a mere night without her. It was clear that he valued her greatly.
The two indulged in the love they could feel from their partner, but after around fifteen minutes, Han Qingshan finally withdrew.
“If I stay here longer, I will never leave,” he muttered, pecked her lips gently, and turned around.
“I will see you in the church tomorrow,” he said with a hoarse voice, but his eyes sparkled with excitement. He, too, was looking forward to the following day’s marriage ceremony.
After watching Han Qingshan walk down the hallway down to the elevator, Jiang Yingyue finally sighed and returned into the condo.
Inside her mother and Yan Meilin had prepared some light crystal prawn dumplings for her to snack on, while the three women sat down together to make the battleplan for the following day.
“So, the make-up artist will be here at seven in the morning.”
“The hairstylist will be here around half past seven tomorrow morning.”
“I am the stylist, so I will make sure to dress you up so that even that son of mine will be absolutely dumbfounded when he sees you.”
“The wedding ceremony begins at ten, so we will have to leave here at thirty minutes past nine. It is all a bit rushed, but we should be able to make it!”
