Born Again - 46 Sweeping The Rooms For Spy Devices
They all had dispersed to reassemble in the dinning hall for breakfast. Since it was a Thursday, they all would be having thin pancakes with potato gravy. Tania loved this flat pancakes idea. She enjoyed Indian food and her Dadi ji cooked it without too many spices.
After breakfast, as Tania was heading for her room, there was a call from the psychiatrist. Dr Victor Dimetrius wanted her to come to the clinic in the afternoon today because Sanya had connected with him through a dream and wanted to tell him a few things which he needed to convey to them.
Tania immediately headed to the room of her paternal grandparents to inform them about the call from the psychiatrist,
“This time, I want to go to the psychiatrist with Tania and you,” said Dadi ji with a concerned look on her face.
“You can accompany us, that is not a problem, but who will ensure that Igor does not do any exploring of the house, especially in the study?”
“He should not be allowed to go through books and documents placed in the study. Actually, he has no business to go to other people’s room.”
“He could discover something that might cause problems for us.” Responded Dada ji.
“Mira, please keep an eye on that chap. He has enough inheritance from his family but he also possesses an insatiable hunger to grab the asserts of others.”
“It will not be long now and this entire evil controlling Tania’s every life will be finished for good.”
“Sanya and her husband, Arun, from where this coming and death cycle started needs to be resolved.”
“Another thing, when we come back, we will tell Tania’s Nani ji everything. She is a simple and good woman who does not realize how crafty her son is.”
It is not her fault but some evil that is coming with him from his past lives.”
“Keep an eye on him, he managed to fit a CCTV camera in Tania’s room, I feel there could be something else in her room, also check our room.”
“Please check everywhere, if you find something please call me from our room not from Tania’s room.”
“I was thinking of locking my room,” Tania interrupted her grandparents.
“No, no don’t think of locking the room. He will think we are hiding something,” replied Dada ji.
“But he fitted the CCTV camera and I installed a small hidden camera behind the TV ?” Tania responded.
“It was because of that small camera we knew that he had come to uninstall it,” she added.
“I feel that we should not take things complacently. He could have had a back up plan too.” Dadi ji made a point.
Soon Tania and her grandfather left for their appointment with the doctor.
Mira decided to check her own room first. She checked for anything big or small that could be fitted in a tiny space like a flower pot. She had seen a number of James Bond movies and knew such things existed.
Then she started to check behind the curtains, corners of the windows, behind the TV set, under the table and the chairs as well as under the bed. She pulled the double bed a little, not an easy job as it was quite heavy.
She had pulled the bed a little to see if anything was placed behind the headrest area. She was looking for something small like a tiny pen type CCTV camera or a tiny listening device. With time these things had become tinnier and tinnier and were not easily detectable.
Then she checked under the table and the two chairs placed beside the table. There was nothing there.
She then closed the curtains to make the room slightly dark but she could not see any sort of light being emitted from anywhere.
She then took her mobile and dialed her number in India. No one would be home at this time and no one would pick up her phone call.
With her mobile call still dialing her home number, she moved around the room. But she did not notice any interference or clicking noises in any area of the room. This meant that Igor had not placed anything in their room.
She left her room and proceed to Tania’s room.
First she physically checked Tania’s room as well as the bathroom door.
She then checked behind the curtains, corners of the windows, behind the TV set, under the table and the chairs. She saw the tiny CCTV camera that Tania had fitted behind the TV set.
She then checked under the bed but could not see anything. She pulled the bed a little so that the head rest area was away from the wall. Here also she could not see anything.
She then closed the curtains to make the room slightly dark. Except for the tiny light from the cctv camera behind the TV set there was no other light being emitted by any device. She then opened the curtains.
Next, like in her room, she took out her mobile and dialed her number in India. No one would be home at this time and no one would pick up her phone call.
With her mobile call still dialing her home number, she moved around the room. But she did not notice any interference or clicking noises in any area of the room. However there was some sound being emitted from under the bed. As she moved the mobile closer, she saw that something had been pasted to the leg of the bed.
She left Tania’s room and returned to her own room. Then she dialed her husband to inform him about her search. But there was no reply. She then called Tania’s number but there was no reply.
Apparently, her granddaughter and her husband were busy at the psychiatrist’s clinic.
She decided to call them later or they would call her after seeing the missed calls on their respective mobiles.
She thought that Igor would be in the study. She and Igor’s mother needed to head for the study on the pretext of having evening tea and to discuss what to make for dinner.
