Born In Blood - Chapter 18 Entering Fashion Industry
Before, Anoi was a rather passive person. She was a worker. An ordinary goal-achiever, only the goals that she achieved weren’t hers but her boss’s.
Nothing’s wrong with that, but after her kiss with death, she had zero intentions leading a normal, average life.
Her biggest secret wasn’t the fact that she was reborn. She could tell that right now in this very second, with a hundred percent chance that no one would believe her. Even more so, she would be called crazy.
No, her biggest, most-guarded skeleton in the closet, so to speak, was the knowledge she possessed. What companies succeeded, what technologies would turn the world around, even the simplest experience she got in those 5 years, she would use them to her advantage, and not reveal to anyone unless needed.
Money, therefore, will not be a problem in the future. And one of the ways to secure her stable livelihood, and at the same time, fulfill one of her long-time dreams, was setting up a clothing company. It was her first step in fashion industry, something she wanted to do ever since she was a child.
“I want to enter fashion industry. Jackie, we’ve both finished fashion design college, so let’s start applying our skills in real life. And you, Shadd, you are already working in that field.” Anoi explained her decision.
In truth, the reason she wanted Shadd to join in wasn’t just because he already had experience, but because she knew that in future, this man will be one of the most successful and sought-after fashion designers. He was basically a superstar, shoveling money, appearing every night and day on TV screens in millions of homes. And yet, Anoi pitied, all he did was drown his sorrow and lost love in countless bets, that he usually won and by this amplified his wealth even further, and in wine. His death caused millions of viewers to lament, once he was found dead at the end of a giant staircase in one of his mansions: drunk and disoriented, he slipped and fell down. Some speculated, that he suffered depression, and intentionally pushed himself.
This was yet another thing Anoi wanted to change. When she saw him today, she liked him instantaneously. There was something about his bearing that made people feel at ease and relaxed.
In her mind, she already started evaluating him as Jackie’s potential boyfriend.
“Are you sure?” Shadd hesitated. “It’s easier said than done.”
“I am.” Anoi nodded and started explaining her plan.
