Born In Blood - Chapter 26 Yet Another Bag Of Money
“Shoot! Were my sources unreliable??” She panicked, and then quickly calmed down. What’s the worst thing they can do to her? No matter what, it’s not like she’ll get killed. Then, as long as they don’t call the police, she’ll be fine.
“Who are you?” she heard from above and lifted her gaze. Anoi didn’t know whether to laugh or cry: even bodyguards were this handsome?? Did they choose them base on their looks or what?
Fortunately, she was used to being surrounded by beauties.
She smirked. “Sometimes I wonder that as well. But, the question of self-identity is a tricky one, and I fear I can’t give you and answer.”
“What do you want? Why are you here?” the man got slightly angry by her smart-ass reply.
“Where?” she looked around and then, as if she only now notices the young models not too far away, faked a surprise.
“You came here to spy, huh?”
“Oh my, it seems I have been misunderstood, I was taking a dump. I wanted to go to the toilet, and the bushes were the only place close by.” An obvious lie.
The man grimaced. He clearly thought of her as irritating.
“You’re lying. If I didn’t caught you sooner, you’d-”
“What are you talking about?” Anoi interrupted. She took a mental note of his anger. She saw that he didn’t plan on letting her go that easily. In that case, then she’ll just play an even more oblivious fool. “Caught me where?”
“In the bushes!” he hissed. Must he waste his time on this?
“What bushes?” Anoi innocently.
The man was stunned. Was this woman going to pretend to that extent?
“You said yourself, you were taking a dump!” he was now getting really mad.
“How vulgar! What am I? Why in the world would I even do that, when there’s a toilet right here,” she said and pointed her finger behind the man.
He turned around.
Stupid of him to fall for the trick.
“Now’s my chance!” Anoi though triumphally and wanted to run away. Unfortunately, the man noticed and caught her again:
“Why are you running away? Guity?”
“No! Cause you’re creepy. Randomly dragging people from the streets is weird. Do you have any proof of how I “supposedly” sneaked in? No! Then, it never happened. Let go!”
The man wanted to respond that the world doesn’t work this way, but just as he was about to say it, Anoi said something that made him stop in his tracks:
“Let go!” she exclaimed “It took me an hour to get to BBS by tram, I don’t have time for you!”
Anoi saw the shock on his face and ceased struggling.
“You, how do you know about this nickname?” He was stunned after hearing that she referred to the park as “BBS”
“Oh, even a bodyguard knows? Did you overhear some assistant managers talking? I thought it was supposed to be a secret,” Amoi mumbled in dissatisfaction.
“I AM an assistant manager,” the man said and let go of her. “Did you read my post yesterday? I didn’t expect it to get so popular that quick.”
Now it was Anoi’s turn to be surprised.
It can’t be that he’s the one who created the nickname! Wouldn’t that mean he is Scott Wiltshire, the one who works with Green Prince, a filthy-rich idol group??
While Anoi was thinking, the man started apologizing,
“I’m sorry for my behavior. I didn’t think you are a fellow worker. But why didn’t you enter normally?
Anoi snapped back.
“I lost my pass card,” she responded.
She is indeed lucky. This was her first day after rebirth, and yet she encountered two money bags by now!
