Boundless Human World - Chapter 41 The Godly Real
The saints from the Seven Families split into six groups in the air that were near each other. The seven Quasi-Immortals all acted in unison and activated a mysterious formation technique. A blurry figure made of energy and light appeared in the space between the six groups. One group was at the spot where the head of the figure was, another at the chest, and the remaining four at the extremity of the four limbs. The figure was that of an enormous but primitive man. The man had long hair that reached his back and only wore a loincloth made of fur. The man was very muscular. Each muscle looked like it was chiseled by a great sculptor.
By combining the power of hundreds of Saints and seven Quasi-Immortal together to form this one formation-body, a very powerful weapon was created. The elderly Quasi-Immortals did not intend to use this formation originally, but now that a bunch of Gods appeared, they weren’t taking any chances.
The Higher Realm was one of the countless realms of similar rank below the Godly Realms that had the capability to do something like this. This was the reason that the Gods from the Godly Realm couldn’t cause havoc and do as they please here. Other realms that weren’t as fortunate existed as well. However, in general, those who belonged to a higher level realm rarely interfered with realms of a lower level. Those below tried to ascend, but those in higher realms rarely bothered to descend. Each realm was a complete and independent ‘world’, there was no need to go to another unless one wanted to further their path of cultivation.
Unless one was one of the few unfathomably powerful beings in the entire universe, possessing power greater than they could naturally obtain in a lower realm would cause their cultivation and power to be restricted while in a lower realm.
Since over a hundred saints and seven Quasi-Immortals were combining their strength and amplifying it to the peak, they were as strong as one can be in the Higher Realm, if not slightly stronger.
At first, Shura thought that it was only the five individuals who appeared from beyond the sky that he should be wary of, but with the appearance of this weird phantom image, he had to be wary of it as well…
Shura flew with his fastest speed in order to bypass everything and reach the origin of the light in order to ascend. Only by reaching that point would he be automatically sent to the Godly Realms.
Shura ascended higher and higher. The five golden figures in the sky were moving toward him as well.
One of the Gods came in front of Shura’s path, blocking him from moving higher and reaching the origin of the light.
Shura’s sword appeared and he slashed at the God. The god’s weapon, a spear in gold appeared in his hand and he thrust the spear at Shura. Both the sword and spear moved at a very fast speed. Instantly they touched each other and a shockwave was produced on the collision. The air vibrated and even the ground below slightly shook from the two titanic forces colliding in the air.
Neither Shura nor the spear-wielding God was pushed back. They both had equal strength due to the suppression of the Higher Realm placing a threshold on allowable strength.
The image of Claira flashed in Shura’s mind again. He wasn’t going to be stopped here. Shura gripped his sword harder. He would cleave through anything and everything, no matter what it was! He would reach his desired place. Nothing would be allowed to get in his way.
The spear-wielding god unleashed a barrage of strikes against Shura, each was precisely aimed at his vital organs or weak points. Shura parried all the strikes with his sword.
A faint crimson light lit up within Shura’s body. He was covered in red light. His skin turned red and one could see his bones through the glow of his body. His sword also began to glow with the same eerie light.
Shura shot through the air with explosive force and arrived in front of the spear-wielding god and slashed at his neck. Although the god was heavily armored, there was a gap between his helmet and chest armor that slightly exposed his throat.
Shura’s movement was as quick as lightning. The god could see Shura’s movement and felt the approaching lethal strike. He immediately moved his spear at an equally fast speed in order to block the strike.
Just as the spear was about to arrive in front of the trajectory of the sword and block it, Shura’s sword immediately doubled its speed. The sword sliced cleanly through the throat of the god. The God’s body instantly turned into light that then entered Shura’s body. The eerie crimson aura around Shura became slightly deeper. The god’s armor and spear fell down toward the ground.
“More Heavenkin outside the Godly Realms trying to ascend. What are they really planning?” one of the Gods said.
“It doesn’t matter as long as we put them on down,” the God who was the leader of the five-man group said.
“What were they saying about Heavenkin trying to ascend? What was a Heavenkin?” Shura thought.
Shura didn’t let the thought distract him, however. He had just killed one of the five, momentum was on his side. He immediately arrived in front of another god and slashed at his neck.
This God parried Shura’s sword with his own and retreated a distance from Shura. The other three gods came at him from all direction, but Shura had enough fighting experience.
A sword managed to wound him in the back, but he was able to behead another god in the process. The god once again transformed into light that entered Shura’s body. The wound on his back immediately healed. There were no scars on his back at all, it was like he had never been wounded before.
The giant composed of hundreds of Saints finally made its move. The seven Quasi-Immortals had deemed the newcomer as small fries that couldn’t handle Shura at all. They decided that they would have to deal with Shura themselves.
The enormous silhouette of a giant threw out a punch at Shura. Although the phantom image made of energy was enormous, it didn’t act like something enormous at all. Its speed was fast. Its fist immediately arrived below Shura.
Shura exerted his full strength and flew up higher into the air to escape the incoming attack. The sky was vast, although the remaining Gods tried to stop him, his speed was slightly faster than theirs. Not only was he managing to outmaneuver the Gods, but he was also outrunning the saints’ formation.
Shura came closer and closer to the source of the light. He was very high up in the sky. The ground below seemed so small and distant.
Shura reached out with his hand and touched the source of light that was at the highest point of the sky. The light engulfed him and he could feel his body undergoing teleportation.
“I made it!” Shura thought with excitement.
But just as his body was able to fully disappear. An object approached him with impossibly fast speed. The object ignored the law of gravity and instantly arrived below his left foot. The arrow pierced through his left foot and continued to fly upward at a still marvelous speed. The arrow then disappeared.
Shura managed to take a look below. One of the three remaining Gods held a bow in his hand. This god had just let loose the treacherous arrow that had hit him. Shura memorized the face of this god, if he ever came across him in the future, Shura would return the favor.
Before Shura fully teleported away. He could feel a foreign substance or energy moving from his foot upward to the rest of his body.
The sky was purple. Shura hadn’t seen that before. Since it was purple and not blue, what did it mean exactly?
Shura got up and examined his foot. The blood was gone and the wound had closed, but that wasn’t the problem at all. That arrow carried both poison and some sort of energy. Shura’s own energy had already eliminated the foreign energy, but the poison still remained in his body and was continuing to spread further and further.
Shura controlled his energy to block the poison’s path. The poison was prevented from spreading further, but it had already spread through one-third of his body. Both of his legs were poisoned. The poison was stopped at his lower abdomen.
He didn’t feel anything odd with his body at all. His legs could still move. The poison didn’t do any damage to his body either, but his energy couldn’t travel to the place that the poison resided.
Was it even supposed to do something? Even if it was poison, Shura’s own internal energy was very powerful and profound. It would be able to burn through the poison in no time at all. The poison wasn’t doing anything at all.
Since it couldn’t harm him and he would soon be rid of it, Shura decided to not think of it anymore.
He began to survey his surrounding. Not only was the color of the sky different, but what greeted him as soon as he arrived was different as well.
