Can I really keep my Goddess Wife to myself and away from all the Crazy OP MCs - 62 Chapter 61.
(POV little Han)
Venerable master?!
Why are you there?
After the broadcast had gone on for some time it suddenly switched out to show someone trying to jump over a bridge to escape the people chasing them. When I focused closely I was able to discern the truth, much unlike from all the previous pieces of footage, I could distinctly determine who the people on that object flying through the sky over the bridge.
Was that not venerable master and his wife?
If they really wanted to escape, with their level of strength, they could easily just disappear. Why are they putting on such a farce like this dramatic chase?
Was this supposed to be some sort of clue?
Do they actually know where the inheritance is? Maybe the inheritance is where they will be heading next.
I was curious so I decided to probe a bit, “big sister Aoi, do you remember venerable master and his wife?”
“What about them darling?”
Eh? Could it be she can’t tell that the two being displayed in the footage are them?
“You don’t recognize them?”
“Recognize? You mean the two that were just shown escaping from the cops on that quadricycle? How can you recognize them when their faces are completely blurred out like that?”
Quadricycle? Is that what that contraption is called? Never mind that though, they don’t look blurry at all to me. If I’m the only one that can tell it’s them, I must be right. It is definitely their handiwork and it must be a clue intended for me.
“Where do you think they will be taken after this big sister Aoi?”
“Of course to prison.”
“Oh? Can you take me to that prison?”
“What? Why do you want to go to jail?”
“It probably has what I came to this place to look for.”
“Shina, what do I do? My little darling wants to become a convict.”
“Isn’t that great? Now you two can be together forever.”
“I’m not a criminal! I’m safe! Safe I tell you! There was mutual consent!”
“My little darling, do you really need to go there?”
“Of course, my venerable master is going, so what do I have to fear?”
“What? Your venerable master is actually that criminal on the run? I knew it! He is a scammer after all, isn’t he?”
“He is not a scammer, he is just giving me a hint on where to go.”
“Little darling, you can’t try to find a deeper meaning to everything he does. He really is pulling a fast one. My womanly instincts are screaming and telling me that he is without a doubt a big fat scammer.”
I could only look at her with pity in my eyes. This poor woman who stood before Mount Tai, but had no eyes to see it.
“One must not judge one’s character without any solid facts to backup their claims.”
“Fine little darling, I will follow you and unmask that so called venerable master before your very eyes.”
After she boldly declared as such, she took out her phone and called someone up.
“Hello, it’s me.”
“What do you mean you don’t know who it is? You think I’m a scammer? Damn it, it’s me Aoi your daughter!”
“Did you see the news? You did? Good. Do you know what prison the two on the news will be taken to?”
After fifteen minutes passed waiting in silence she finally got a response and screamed, “what?!”
“He’s being taken to that place?! Why? Wait, what do you mean by he? Wasn’t there also a woman with him? She mysteriously disappeared without a trace and couldn’t be found?”
“You say because of the mysterious disappearance and the abnormal length of time he was underwater the higher ups in that facility have taken an interest in him?”
“But he’s just a scammer! No, sorry, never mind. Just forget I said that.”
She hung up after she said that.
“Darling, he is being sent to a certain prison that I happen to have a connection to. I can get us in if you really want to go, but that place is a really strange place that has not been made known to the general public. Are you sure you really want to go there?”
“I definitely must go if that is where the thing I’m looking for is.”
“Just what are you looking for?”
“It is an ancient inheritance. Venerable master must be going there because of that and used this chance to give me a hint where to go.”
“Ancient inheritance? There? It’s a prison you know. I really think he’s just trying to con you.”
“I cannot be wrong. This is the only possibility behind his actions.”
“Why don’t you just text that venerable master to find out?”
“Ah. I didn’t even consider that.”
“Instead of going through all the effort of going to prison, why didn’t he just give you the hint through text?”
“Don’t question the ways of one who is distanced from the mortal realm. Everything that venerable master does has some sort of deep unspeakable hidden meaning.”
“No no no, this is just going to jail, right? He could easily have just texted you.”
“No, there must be some complicated and intricate reason why he couldn’t just text or tell me the hint. He must have wanted to test my intelligence to see if I could pick up on the subtle clues he would leave behind for me. Venerable master must be closely observing me to see how I react to the unexpected. Yes, that must be it!”
“Are you sure he just didn’t think of texting you the hint? He doesn’t look that smart to be honest.”
“Aoi, stop insulting venerable master! You never know if he is listening in on us even now. Who knows what kind of level he has reached.”
“Haaaah. Fine, little darling.”
Yes… this must be a test. It is a trial by fire after all. He can’t just give me all the answers. A trial by fire is meant to temper those taking part in the trial.
Big sister Aoi started another call when she saw my determination.
“Hello, it’s me. Damn it uncle, I’m not a scammer! It’s your niece. What you don’t believe me?! Aoi, Aoi! You get it now you brain dead moron?! Check the caller ID! It’s Aoi!”
“Yes, can you do me a favor? That prison, can you let my friend and I take a tour? What do you mean rejected? Only prisoners are allowed? Then just let us act the part of prisoners. Yes, I’m sure. Yes, I’m really, really sure. Tomorrow there’s a batch being transferred over? Sure, that’s fine. That works out perfect. Thanks. Bye.”
When she hung up the phone she looked towards me and said, “little darling, apparently they are transporting a batch of fresh prisoners over to the prison your venerable master is being taken to tomorrow. He will probably be transported in that very same batch. Are you really certain you want to go there?”
“Of course I am. A man does not go back on his words.”
“Aoi, so you really are a criminal after all? You’re even turning yourself in?”
“Shina, by the way; I might have accidentally framed you for a crime so you would be able to come along as well.”
“What?!”
“Well, I wanted another accomplice for the crime uncle is going to fabricate to get my little darling and I into that prison.”
When Shina heard that she lunged at Aoi, pushed her to the ground and frantically strangled her.
“You slut, you think you can get away with framing people for crimes they didn’t commit just so you can drag someone along to bare witness to your stupid lover’s retreat?!”
“Shina, hah… hah…. I’m all for this type of violent play as well.”
“Ugh, this pervert never changes.”
“What? Shina, don’t stop. Keep going!”
Is there really something wrong with this big sister’s head?
Although, I do need to admit, I’m pretty lucky that I ran into her. Thanks to her I saw the broadcast. Thanks to her I’m able to figure out where venerable master is being taken and I can even gain access to the facility he is being taken to. Thanks to her I even broke through in my cultivation. Isn’t she actually my lucky star?
While I was busy thinking about it, Aoi got up with a reluctant look on her face.
It seemed like she really wasn’t joking and wanted Shina to keep going.
“Keep me out of it Aoi. I’m not a criminal like you. I live life with a clear conscience.”
“Shina, it’s too late. You are one of us. Haha. One of us. One of us. One of us. Hahaha.”
“Aoi, you creepy slut, no seriously, stop it with the cult like chanting. Your eyes are really grossing me out, I’m not like you.”
“One of us. One of us.”
“Okay, okay, I’ll go, I’ll go, just knock it off. Tch. This better get cleared off my record later on.”
“Of course it will my good girlfriend. Don’t worry about it.”
“I’m very worried. Nothing good ever comes out of anything you tell me not to worry about.”
“What are you talking about Shina? When has anything ever gone wrong?”
“You told me not to worry in university when that guy asked me out that one time. You told me to just flat out reject him. What happened after that Aoi? Well? What happened? Why don’t you tell me?”
“How was I supposed to know he had low self esteem? He acted like a rich big shot. How could I have predicted he would have a nervous breakdown and burst into tears in public like a big baby?”
“Hmmm. What about that time when you told me not to worry about him even after that? What happened then Aoi?”
“I don’t know what your talking about Shina.”
“Why did he send me a video of him blowing your brains out in every position possible?”
“I just felt bad for him. He cried in public after all.”
“What happened when you told me to ignore it and not worry about it?”
“Nothing happened right?”
“Aoi, you know better than I do what he did. He started calling me a slut on social media and said we did it and even dumped me after he got tired of me. He even doctored your video together, hid your face and acted like it was me with him in that video.”
“…”
“Well Aoi? What about that time you told me not to worry when you forgot your vibrator in school? Didn’t I tell you to go get it right away?”
“Uhm Shina. It’s in the past right?”
“In the past? Really? Where did you forget your vibrator Aoi? Well?! Well?!”
“Shina… everybody makes mistakes.”
I could tell Aoi was breaking out into sweat from the barrage of questions Shina was reigning down upon her.
“Really? You’re telling me leaving the vibrator on my chair perked up majestically towards the sky for the world to see was a simple mistake?”
“Shina, I don’t remember. Something seems to be wrong with my memories.”
“Oh? Then let me remind you what happened. Our teacher found it and started blackmailing me. Do you remember that my good friend Aoi? Do you?!”
“It all worked out in the end, didn’t it? I got my father to pull some strings and get him fired, didn’t I?”
“Would the teacher have fallen to such depravity if not for you being such a stupid slut?”
“Oh Aoi, the list goes on doesn’t it? What about the time in middle school where you told me not to worry when I ate that shrimp that fell on the floor? You said three second rule, safe, right?!”
“You mind telling me what happened to that naive girl back then who believed you?”
“Eh? Ah. That is.”
“Because of you I threw up on the back of some poor kids head in class, he never came to school again. What were the names he was given back then Aoi? Well? Do you remember?”
“Wasn’t it barf head?”
“What name did I get my good friend Aoi?”
“Barfy. Pfft.”
“Oh you have the nerve to laugh? What was that song you liked to sing again? Didn’t it go something like this? Barfy and barf head sitting in a tree, b-a-r-f-i-n-g.”
“Pfft. Shina enough, please no more.”
“Oh what about in elementary school Aoi?”
“Did you think I’d forget Aoi? Actually why are we still friends? Aren’t you the root of all evil?”
“Shina, you’re mistaken. There’s no way I did anything bad in elementary school, right? I was still an innocent little angel back then.”
“Innocent enough to teach all the little girls to pee like men?”
“Tell me Aoi, what could possibly go wrong?”
“Give me a break! How was I supposed to know what would happen twenty something plus years later?!”
“Half of them became unmarriable tomboys. The other half had sex changes. Well Aoi? Have I listed enough of your crimes where you told me not to worry about it?!”
“It’s all good. I swear! Nothing could possibly go wrong this time. Trust me Shina. I’m a changed woman.”
“You mean how you’re a shotacon now?”
“I’ve grown Shina. I’m not as immature compared to our childhood. I won’t make such mistakes again.”
“Haha. Like hell I’m buying that.”
“Trust me, this time will be different, I swear!”
Shina crossed her arms and from then on ignored everything big sister Aoi said to defend herself.
I was naturally shocked when I heard of the ridiculous things big sister Aoi did in the past. My fear towards her naturally deepened slightly.
Will I really be alright with such a jinx by my side?
“Uhm big sister Aoi, about what we talked about earlier. Since I can see how much you like big sister Shina, I’m willing to relent and concede to big sister Shina.”
Shina ran towards me, grabbed my robe and threateningly said, “what are you talking about my good little buddy? My dear friend Shina has already become yours. There are no give backs here.”
“No I never knew how deep your relationship was, how can I possibly bear to rip the two of your apart?”
“Haha. Not a problem little friend, she’s all yours from now on.”
“Uhm, can you not try to push me off to one another like I’m a used condom you no longer want anything to do with. Although such a feeling isn’t bad either.”
Aoi had a weird smile on her face that I really didn’t understand. Is she really okay?
