Can I really keep my Goddess Wife to myself and away from all the Crazy OP MCs - 87 Chapter 86.
‘Unknown Number: Master? Is this master?’
‘Venerable Master San: Eh? Chu Yue? How’d you get my number?’
‘Unknown Number: I knew it! It really is you! I got your number from your wife. Tehe. :p’
When I confirmed it really was Chu Yue, I was of course surprised, but I was also a bit happy. Simultaneously, I was a bit scared of what my wife was plotting. What was the meaning behind her giving my disciple my number? I’m not suddenly going to be stabbed in the back and be called a cheater for this, right?
I really don’t want a bad end route where she chops my head off and carries it around everywhere in a bag or something. Well, since she already knew my number, I figured I’d save it.
‘Venerable Master San: You got a phone?’
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: Yes! I worked hard! Praise me!’
So cute.
‘Venerable Master San: Umu. Good work.’
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: Eh?! That’s all I get?’
What else do you expect me to say? You got a phone, what was praiseworthy about that? I figured I needed to impart some words of wisdom to my disciple who may have been slacking off and indulging herself in the mortal world.
‘Venerable Master San: You’re definitely not doing bad, but you must always strive for greater heights.’
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: Haaaaah. I knew you would probably expect more of me. Chu Yue is a failure of a disciple. The next time you see me, I’ll make sure it’s enough to surprise you to the point you will have no choice but to praise me to the moon.’
‘Venerable Master San: Good luck with that.’
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: Master! You should dote on me more!’
I want to be fawned on though.
‘Venerable Master San: Fine, it can’t be helped. I’ll impart a powerful technique to you the next time I see you.’
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: Eh? Rather than a technique I want master to pen-‘
‘Venerable Master San: Pen? What?’
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: pen out a letter to me, apologizing for smelling so bad.’
What the hell?! Do I smell so bad that I need to make a written apology for it?
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: Sorry, please disregard that last message.’
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: What I really want is for master to stick-‘
Why does the message keep getting cut off like that?
‘Venerable Master San: Stick what?’
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: stick to your wife more closely at night.’
‘Venerable Master San: … ?’
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: Please ignore that last message as well. My phone seems to be acting up for some reason. I might have a virus or something. Maybe I was hacked.’
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: Ahhhhhh this is so annoying!’
Yeah, this is definitely my wife messing with us.
‘Venerable Master San: I more or less understand the situation. You said you got my number from my wife, right?’
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: Yeah. :S’
‘Venerable Master San: You’ve got it tough.’
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: Muuuu.’
‘My Cute First Disciple Chu Yue: I’ll settle with the powerful technique for now.’
How troublesome, I’ve got no choice but to find something even more powerful and expensive than Hana’s Pandora’s Box. I can’t let the first disciple fair worse than the second. That wouldn’t be right.
While I was thinking this, I received a random picture from her along with a message I didn’t quite understand the meaning behind. I could only reply to her like a nonchalant master.
(POV Chu Yue)
Haaaah. Looking at Misses Gyoko’s triumphant face I felt the urge to cry. I worked really hard to get his number, only for her to mystically block my attempts to flirt with no effort at all.
How did she do that? Anytime I wanted to type something suggestive, the message would get sent before I could finish. Random messages would also get sent as a follow up. Just what is going on here?
(POV Meg)
Hah! So what if I froze time to take your phone and send your texts prematurely? You have a problem with it, get on my level please. Flirt with my husband through text directly in front of me? Peh! Dream on!
If my husband was here, he would probably say something like, “please don’t casually freeze time over pointless childish disputes!” Well, too bad, he’s not here.
Little girl, forget him for now, we’ve reached our destination. Really, get your head out of the clouds and focus.
When we stepped out of the room, what first came into view through the window was a large white spherical mass with many craters littered across its surface. In the background there were uncountable stars shimmering far off into the distance, sparsely in some areas while clustered together in others.
What laid directly before our eyes was the moon. It was something quite common among many of the unknown number of planets I’ve visited. A long time ago, I used to find such things romantic, but after venturing through uncountable realms, it was now nothing but a large rock in my eyes.
However, that definitely was not the case with this little girl who had not long ago broken past the limitations of mortals thus entering the transcendent realm. She was slack jawed while holding her phone up to take a picture in her hand. Without thinking about it, she snapped a picture and sent it to my husband.
‘Master’s Slave Chu Yue: The moon is really beautiful.’
The name she gave herself really irked me to a surprising degree.
‘Future Hubby (Master): It’s so so.’
Almost as much as the name she keyed in for my husband.
“Haaaah. I wish master was here to see this with me, but his reply makes me feel like a country bumpkin.”
Oi. He is MY husband brat.
“Really? Would you put your phone away and stop trying to flirt with my husband in front of me?”
‘Master’s Slave Chu Yue: Master, I have some things to do, I’ll ttyl. :(‘
‘Future Hubby (Master): Cya later.’
I dragged the girl with no sense of time or place towards the shuttle area where we would be transported down to the surface of the moon where her next gig would be held.
In our tacky astronaut suits, we got into a shuttle and were launched towards the surface of the moon. During our descent Chu Yue was curiously staring out the window of the shuttle observing the surrounding area.
“Misses Gyoko, what is that over there?”
“That is where your gig is going to be held.”
“In that big dome like structure?”
“Yeah.”
Once we were on the surface of the moon, we made our way over to the dome like structure. I could finally relax as I had finally fulfilled husband’s request for me to bring her to the same facility as him. I definitely had accomplished my objective, I brought her to the same facility as requested. This was after all a secondary base for the prison on Earth. Any prisoners that were too troublesome for Azkaban Prison on Earth were transported here.
They called it Azkabanished Prison. Don’t ask me if it was some sort of weird pun. Not even the akashic records knew the answer when I checked it.
When we reached the door to the dome, I knocked three times politely. After a several seconds a peep hole slid open and a voice rang out from the intercom that requested, “what is the password?”
“We were not banished. We chose to leave.”
That’s called self denial in case anyone was wondering.
The guard shut the peep hole and the sound of gears rotating sounded out from behind. Chu Yue couldn’t hear it due to the vacuum in outer space, but I still could since my perception was spread out everywhere. After a moment, the door slid open and an empty room was revealed behind it.
Once we entered the room, the gears inside the room rotated again and the doors shut behind us. You’d think with their advanced technology they would refrain from using loud gears, but in outer space I suppose they didn’t care much since they couldn’t hear it when in a vacuum.
Sure, gears lasted longer here than on earth due to the lower gravity, but in all honesty, I felt like they just wanted to use gears to make it seem more mysterious. It was just about keeping up appearances more than anything else.
“Is she the one?”
“Yeah, she is.”
The chosen one. Pfft. If he wore a black mask covering his entire face and claimed to be her father, this whole scenario would be perfect.
The gatekeeper lead us further into the space prison. We passed down a long corridor with prison cells along our sides. After some time passed, we reached the end. It was a wide open space the size of a football stadium with a transparent roof. The space was formed through overlapping two concave domes. There was no flooring to this room and the ground was the moon itself.
The upper dome was see through from this side, while the bottom dome reflected the night sky. Even though we were inside, it felt as though we were outside thanks to the bizarre design, but it was definitely an enclosed space full of oxygen where Chu Yue no longer needed her astronaut helmet. It was really the perfect location for the type of show we were aiming for.
I had already arranged for the band to meet us here and they were already positioned towards the center of the large open space with their instruments ready.
I wordlessly pushed at Chu Yue’s back to have her head towards them. There were already high quality cameras prepared all over the room considering it was a prison. Everything was set, and I already planned to have this performance broadcasted live across the Earth. Using my abilities, I intended to project it in the sky all across the planet. This was sure to make her go viral in no time at all. It would also naturally be broadcast on the internet through the cameras simultaneously.
Hehe. This little girl is quite lucky. She will be able to obtain worshippers early on which will greatly boost her cultivation speed in higher realms. It’s not that worshippers are necessary to cultivate to higher realms, but they definitely do provide a significant boost.
How about I ship her as the goddess of freedom? A girl not bound by the status quo? That could probably work. Neither demon or an angel, but one who lives as she wishes.
When Chu Yue stood at the center of the open area with the band. It was at this very moment I aired the performance across the globe. Everywhere in the sky above Earth, all that could be seen was a top down image of the moon with Chu Yue standing at the center with the band in the background.
A bunch of spot lights lit up and focused on Chu Yue from all four cardinal directions. She picked up the microphone with an expression at peace and sung out in her melodious voice that would bring peace to ones lost soul.
The eyes of people all across Earth were now locked on the sky above them at the scene depicted before them. Some places were left in sheer chaos, while other areas thought it was some high budget production broadcast.
There were those who found themselves lost in the melody, while there were punks who were spitting on the ground in frustration. However, those punks did not need to wait long for things to pick up.
Just as there was the calm before the storm. There was something hidden behind the tranquility of the girl known as Chu Yue.
Thirty seconds into her song, a prison break alarm sounded out loudly signalling the true beginning of her performance which would shock the world.
From all directions, prisoners came bursting out and flooding into the dome as though they were fleeing from some sort of apocalypse. You see, I transmitted a message to all the prisoners through their intercom system and stated that if they were able to capture Chu Yue, they would be allowed to return to Earth as a free man.
Of course, with their strength, they were no match for Chu Yue after she broke through, so to spice things up a bit, I doped them a bit beforehand. I handed out pills on our way here using a body double, at the exchange of ten years of their lives, it allow them to wield the power of a peak semi transcendent being for ten minutes.
Of course, this was the trial by fire I had arranged for the little disciple my husband was so fond of. If she can’t even handle something of this level, she isn’t even worthy to think of facing off with me in the future.
Well, little Chu Yue, how will you face this tribulation I have arranged for you?
When Chu Yue realized the sudden change, her expression changed immensely. It was like a violent beast had awoken within her and she let out a heavy death metal scream and dashed towards the incoming wave of prisoners.
“HaAaAaAaAaAhHhHhHhHhHh!”
The band’s music picked up tempo and the intensity of the music was building.
The prisoners all jumped towards Chu Yue as though they were planning to bury her beneath their bodies. Chu Yue didn’t panic in the slightest with the intimidating wave of bulky males flying towards her. Instead, thanks to her training under fluctuating gravity she was like a fish in water.
She leapt forward with speed far above the prisoner’s approaching her and let out a death metal war cry.
“To look down upon me from above is a sin.”
“Watch as I pummel you fools to the ground and tread upon your graves.”
Her first two verses asserted her dominance, while her foot simultaneously landed directly, mid flight, in the face of a prisoner in the air.
She strongly pushed off of his face and flew backwards directly over the band while the spot light could only lag behind her while she glided through the air like a hawk stalking her prey.
She was like a carp turned dragon in the face of the surrounding mob trying to drag her down. With her momentum there wasn’t a single prisoner with enough carisma to draw the limelight from her.
“Die!, Fall and fall some more!”
“Only death awaits you on the other side!”
When she reached the next prisoner she still had not touched the ground. Thanks to the lowered gravity, the scene was playing out perfectly. Chu Yue did a roundhouse kick on the prisoner in front of her and propelled herself towards a group of prisoners to the side.
“DiIiIiIiEeEeEe! DiIiIiIiEeEeEe! DiIiIiIiEeEeEe!”
With each word she screamed out an attack would accompany it. With her right arm she elbowed one prisoner in the face while simultaneously throwing him to the right into another prisoner and using the momentum from pushing him away to bash into the face of the prisoner on the left with her left elbow.
It really looked like she was performing a dance of death in the air. She pushed off the prisoner’s body and kicked him to the ground while using his body as a springboard to jump up high into the air.
When she reached the upper dome, she made use of her delicate training and pushed off with the perfect amount of strength to avoid it shattering the transparent dome to pieces.
“You wish to look down on me? Dream on!”
“Prepare to dig your graves on the moon and let sleeping dogs lie.”
The moment she reached the ground and landed at the very center of the band members, they jumped up like it was all planned beforehand. The ground caved in all around them, and a large crater opened up from a circular radius surrounding the band members expanding outwards. What remained was a circular platform area protruding from the crater just large enough for the group to stand on.
Debris flew in all directions battering into the prisoners still mid flight. Below the prisoners still standing, the ground caved in beautifully resulting in them losing their footing. It was a true picture of sheer destruction.
I started to think Chu Yue might really be a born star if she can improvise like this on the fly. Even my heart beat was slightly sped up from the excitement of watching this action movie like scene mixed with a death metal concert.
When the dust cleared, the band landed on the ground with their feet while a strong stomp resounded out. They were now surrounding Chu Yue who stood in the center.
“Did you think it was over? You think maggots will get away with just that?”
She spun around letting her long sleeves float about gracefully. Simultaneously a strong suction force like a whirlpool was generated from her single spin. The dust and debris which was about to settle was sucked towards her and formed a tornado around her. The groups outline could be occasionally scene through gaps in the dust as the tornado spun around them.
Really though, when did this girl learn something like this? Did she have an affinity with the wind? Did she understand it during her enlightenment when breaking through?
The debris once again battered the prisoners who were floored. The prisoners still flying away were left in a far worse position. After they were initially hit by the explosive force from the formation of the crater there were now being sucked back towards her like rag dolls with no control over life or death.
It really looked like they were nothing more than toys for her to play with and torment.
When I examined the prisoners with no control over their lives in the air, I could see a deep fear and regret growing within them. They really were too useless, weren’t they? Why did I bother giving them those pills if they were going to be so incompetent?
“Standing in my path is your second sin.”
“Don’t even dream of obstructing me from my goal.”
Just as the prisoners were about to reach the raging tornado, Chu Yue abruptly raised her hand to the sky. The moment she did, the tornado dispersed and a powerful shockwave radiated outwards, once again blasting prisoners off into the distance. This time, the prisoners in the air were launched like bullets and collided with the upper semi transparent dome. The prisoners who were on the ground were sent flying backwards and hit the walls of the lower dome.
It really looked like a war had just taken place with all the bodies thrown about everywhere. They were all heavily injured and bleeding profusely, but somehow still alive. Blood stained the surrounding pit to the point it appeared she desired to paint the moon red.
There was a strange atmosphere within the dome. If one observed from above, it was like rose petals had been plucked and intricately placed spiraling outwards from Chu Yue on a white canvas to form a perfect picture. I had to admit, even I was a bit enraptured with her while she stood with her right hand raised looking towards the Earth like she were longing to see something or someone.
Her wildly dancing hair finally calmed down and slowly drifted down to a rest behind her. She turned from a violent devil to that of a peaceful maiden in love and began to sing yearningly.
“When will we meet again?”
“For how long must I venture on, before our paths cross again?”
“Why do I, hurt deep inside?”
“Is this, really love?”
“He told me it wasn’t”
“But I, say, otherwise.”
Haha. This girl really has some nerve. I ignored it at first, but wasn’t she trying to secretly pick a fight with me through the lyrics?
“Guys, don’t fear! There is no way her strength can be her own. She must be like us. Her strength is bound to inevitably waine if we keep attacking in waves.”
Sorry, you are severely underestimating her.
Ah. It looks like you pissed her off too. The loving fuzzy air around her suddenly froze, it felt like the temperature dropped several degrees as her expression turned cold.
She shot a glare towards the person who interrupted her moment of longing and slammed her palm against the ground which sent debris flying up in front of her again. She jumped up and impressively performed the choreography she had ingrained into her body mid flight by dancing atop the pieces of floating debris. Each time she came into contact with a piece of debris, it shot towards anyone who decided to stand up for a second round after hearing the man’s outburst.
“You really have some nerve to wish to stand again before me.”
“Your third sin is to not give up and stay down like a defeated dog.”
“If you die, don’t blame the grim reaper before you who controls your very lives.”
“As I said before, nothing will stop me from reaching my objective.”
When she finished her choreography and hit the last piece of debris, she simultaneously spun in the air and the dust that had settled in the area was drawn towards her again.
Unlike the earlier tornado, it was closer to a whirlpool that started its growth from beneath her feet. The group stood directly in the center of the dust spiralling around everywhere. The dust whirlpool slowly ascended and the band members surrounding her were sucked up and disappeared one by one until it slowly engulfed Chu Yue from the waist up. She sank down into the dust whirlpool as it continued its ascent upwards until it fully covered her head. The moment she disappeared from sight the dust whirlpool abruptly dispersed and the group that once stood there were mysteriously gone.
She was now standing beside me outside the dome with a sassy look on her face.
“How was that?”
“Tch. Cheeky brat. Not bad. Not bad.”
I felt like I was taking a page out of husband’s book here, but there was no way I could bring myself to genuinely praise her. My pride wouldn’t allow it.
It was at that very moment I received the text I was patiently waiting for.
‘Husband: What have you done to my disciple?!’
Huhuhu. I was really looking forward to seeing that face of shock for the longest time now. I made sure to snap a picture using the camera I planted in his room. Really, his shocked expression is so cute.
