Capture The Blue-Eyed CEO - Chapter 302
“Welcome to the High Miles Club,” he whispered in her ear, pulling her closer to the crook of his arm.
She rolled to her side, facing Noah, and with a crease in her forehead asked, “what is High Miles Club?”
He smirked. “The opportunity to screw me senseless, high up in the sky.”
The understanding flushed in Jess’s eyes and punched his shoulder as he roared in laughter, grabbing her in a bear hug, kissing the crown of her head. “What’s up with the change of heart?” he asked.
“Your daughter,” she scoffed.
“Jess! My daughter was too young for you to teach her those moves of yours!”
She pulled his hair in annoyance. “Stop being so obnoxious. Your daughter told me to spoil you.”
“Oh!” he arched his brow. “I should take her shopping as soon as we land.”
“Lucille loves shopping?”
“Hmmm, yes. Sometimes too much.” He scoffed, clicking his tongue but his eyes were twinkling in delight as he talked about his daughter. “You hate shopping, right?” He looked at her to check on her face.
“Hate is a strong wrong. Let’s just say that I find the activity inefficient and a waste of time. I can have the clothes I want without going to the store, putting on multiple items of clothing then deciding which to take.” she shuddered, thinking of the act that most women enjoy.
“Do you have a personal shopper?”
“Not really. I have a friend. She’s the one who curated my clothes according to my preferences. She would email them to me and then, I would choose which ones I like and then, she would pick them at the store and just send them at home. For clothes that I use for events, most couture houses have my size and I just message them to make a dress for me. That way is more time-efficient for me.”
Noah chuckled as he listened intently to Jess’s explanation. It gives him a deeper perspective of how she thinks and her likes as well as her dislikes. He savored the moment of them, lying down together, talking about random things, and learning something new about each other.
They never had a lot of opportunities to do this kind of thing since both of them were always busy and once they were back in the states their schedules would clash with each other again. He doesn’t have the heart to tell her that before the month’s end, he has to fly back to Berlin to prepare for the upcoming annual shareholders’ meeting for ANAT.
This year’s annual shareholders meeting will be challenging for him since his grandfather would call on a meeting to change the CEO of the company. And since his father doesn’t want to give up the position of being the CEO of the company, there are some internal struggles between the shareholders on who they would sit as the company CEO.
He would take Lucille with him to Berlin but Jess would be left in Palo Alto because of her work and they would be long distance again. He sighed and hoped he could choose for her. He knew it was selfish of him to even think about it but he could not help but wish that he could take her anywhere with him.
He sighed inwardly and pulled her closer to him. He would enjoy every freaking moment with her like this to keep him sane in the days that they were far from each other.
“Noahh, I can’t breath.” She tapped his back when Noah tightened his arms around her.
“Hmm,” he replied without loosening his embrace. “I miss you a lot.”
“I know! But right now, you’re being a pain in the ass.”
“Don’t tell me you want me to take you in the…” Before he could finish his sentence, he let go of Jess as he gasped for air, for Jess just sucker-punched him despite the tight space between the two of them. He had a vague recollection of Luke’s story in the past on how Jess broke Luke’s shoulder despite being deep asleep.
He knows that Jess can be deadly when angered but he never learns his lesson when it comes to her. He’s like a kid that keeps pushing his boundaries to know how far he could go before Jess loses her patience towards him. He’s a masochist when it comes to Jess. He loves how quickly her facial expressions would change from annoyance to anger!
“Y-you!” Was all she could utter in shock with Noah. Her face was burning in embarrassment, probably because the thought of him taking her from behind sent a shiver down her spine. But there is no way in hell that she would ever let Noah know about it. Because if she did, she would not hear the end of it. Noah would continue using it as a way to tease her. He could be such a jerk! Adorable but nevertheless, a jerk.
“I was just asking!”
Jess gritted her teeth with how Noah had the audacity to act hurt and feign ignorance. As if it was her fault to take things negatively.
She wiggled away from his embrace as she pushed herself up from the bed, but Noah draped his leg over her body making it difficult for her to move. She pushed his leg off her waist but he was just too damn heavy.
“Miss Zimmerman, how could you think such a thing about me?”
Before Jess could answer, her head snapped to the door because of a soft knock and Lucille’s voice, coming from the outside.
“Daddy! Aunt Jessie, may I come in?”
She pushed Noah’s leg off her and he let her but he grabbed her wrist before she could get off the bed.
“Aunt Jessie?”
Jess sighed. “I didn’t ask her to call me that.”
“I’m not complaining.” He grinned widely. In fact, I couldn’t be happier, aunt Jessie.” He kissed the inside of her palm and gave Jess a grateful smile. “Thanks for being nice to Lucille…aunt Jessie.”
Jess grabbed the pillow next to him and smashed it on his face with the way he smirked when he called her aunt Jessie.
He roared laughing as he let her go to open the door for Lucille.
