Capture - Volume 1 Chapter 27 Lovers
“Make yourself comfortable. I’ll just get changed.”
Kaoru nodded and felt an odd twist inside him when Keigo’s hand let his go. He sat down on the massive sofa and watched as Keigo disappeared up the stairs.
They were both deathly quiet in the cab. There was so much to say but neither could seem to speak.
The curtains were drawn so Kaoru could see the skyline outside. The glittering lights of the city. He used to watch them from countless hotels. How disconcerting it was to look out to the same city from Keigo’s home.
The incident at the bar replayed in his mind. It was the cold fury in Keigo’s voice and expression which Kaoru couldn’t bear. All he had done was to try to protect Kaoru.
“Sorry to keep you waiting,” Keigo’s voice startled him.
He looked up and his throat dried up again. Keigo had changed into a simple shirt and a pair of comfortable slacks. Droplets clung to the end of the strands of his hair.
Kaoru shook his head and nearly shuddered when Keigo sat down next to him.
Another moment of silence passed.
“What you said isn’t true,” Keigo began, serious and somber. “You deserve more than what I can give you.”
“That’s not possible,” Kaoru whispered. “You’re so..so”
“Selfish,” Keigo finished the sentence. “I’m selfish and I don’t care if I am good enough for you. I want you.”
Kaoru drew in a sharp breath. He didn’t dare to look at Keigo.
“No, that’s not true either,” Keigo corrected himself.
A hand clasped Kaoru’s right cheek gently, nudging him to turn around. He complied and stared into those eyes he knew by heart by now.
It was an expression he hadn’t seen on Keigo before. Passion, yes. Intensity, almost expected.
This was indescribably more.
“There are many things that I want. But you. You, I need,” Keigo told him fiercely.
Kaoru’s heart soared and shattered.
He did the only thing he could.
He threw his arms around Keigo.
To call it a hug would be a disservice.
To label it a hold would be too gentle.
Their arms wrapped around each other so tightly and even then, they wanted to be closer still.
He should have known.
From the moment he turned up at the hotel, Kaoru should have known that there would be no escaping Keigo. He even remembered the room number. 3510.
Kaoru was so afraid and so in love at the same time.
He was desperately, almost unbearably so, in love with Keigo.
He didn’t know how much time had passed before Keigo asked quietly, “May I?”
Kaoru could only nod.
You can do anything you want, he thought as Keigo kissed him, softly at first and then when he responded, the kiss turned into a passionate dance. Kaoru felt like he was drowning. He didn’t resist when Keigo pinned him down.
The weight of a man on top of his, of Keigo on top of him, felt so comfortingly familiar and warm.
Kaoru gasped as Keigo trailed kisses down his neck and warned huskily, “If you want to stop, tell me now.”
He should. His mind screamed that he should stop this. Kaoru didn’t deserve this. He had nothing to offer the man touching him, caressing him and kissing him.
But he couldn’t. He could only respond so yearningly, arching and gasping as Keigo unbuttoned his shirt and running his hands across his body.
He whimpered as those hands ran lower still.
Keigo smiled at him, those blue eyes blazing with l.u.s.t. It was a different smile, not one he showed when they had done this before. It was gentle and affectionate.
That broke all the last remnants of defenses that Kaoru had.
xxxxxxxx
Keigo savored every kiss. Every part of Kaoru.
He meant everything he said. Spoken from a heart he hadn’t known could feel so much until he met the man he was touching now.
Here was a body he remembered. The gasps which he couldn’t forget. Lips which made every other irrelevant.
S.e.x was something which Keigo had almost took for granted before. Pleasure and impersonal. Physical and distant.
Tonight, he didn’t want to have s.e.x.
He wanted to make love to Kaoru.
He deepened another kiss as their bodies pressed against each other. Kaoru’s hands gripping onto his shirt.
“You’re the first,” Keigo murmured between the kisses.
“W-what?” Kaoru was dazed and confused.
“I’ve never brought anyone home,” Keigo clarified and gave him another kiss. “Only you.”
Kaoru’s dark eyes moistened and Keigo felt a tremble.
“I..I’ve never been with anyone else. Only you, Keigo,” he whispered. His voice barely audible.
Keigo nearly stopped. He cupped that beautiful face, looking so vulnerable and trusting just now, and carried Kaoru in his arms.
“I am taking you to bed,” he whispered into Kaoru’s ear.
There was a nod against his shoulder.
