Cautious Dungeon - Chapter 3 New Begining
When he regained his consciousness, Little White realised he was missing something. He could not see anything, but he could feel the room around him. Actually more than feeling the room around him, he was the room and at the same time he was a levitating core in the middle of the room.
While examining himself Little White sensed that he had an additional room between his core room, which he was in, and the outside. The core room was made of stone bricks and was only around 3×3 meters big while the adjacent room looked like a natural cave, it was a couple of times bigger than the core room. He was unable to feel anything outside the dungeons exit.
During him feeling around, inherent dungeon memories were streaming into his mind, very similarly to back in front of the stage. Suddenly by instinct Little White managed to open his dungeon menu.
[Status] [Map] [Dungeon shop] [Avatar] [Locked] [locked] (…) [Dungeon conference]
A panel somehow made it into Little Whites vision, although he could not see anything else. Focusing on the [Status] button he managed to select it with his thoughts.
Name: Little White
Race: Dungeon core
Class: Dungeon
Level: 1
Titles: [Otherworlder]
Mana: 504 (+15/hour)
Looking at his status Little White was a bit disappointed about only being level 1, but when he remembered that all beings in the world of Potential are born at level 1 he moved on. Instead he became intrigued about his title and just as he did, an explanation appeared.
Title [Otherworlder]
Requirement: Move from one world to another trough reincarnation
Reward: Able to understand and use all language the title-bearer comes in contact with.
Although the other reincarnated who all also received this title were happy about it, Little White was a little disappointed since he wanted to stay away from the natives anyway. Next Little White thought about the [Map] function, and a window of two rooms appeared before him, the rooms were made up of small squares and connected by one as well. The rooms had a long black line surrounding them, everywhere except for the entrance.
After appreciating his new sanctuary, Little White moved on, into the [Dungeon Shop]. The shop was separated into four.
[Beings] [Rooms] [Traps] [Items] [Level up]
The [Beings] tab contained many categories of beings, split into arch race or element, for example a fire goblin would be found in both the fire and goblin categories. Many beings where locked and required both level and many summons from the relates elements to unlock.
{Goblins doesn’t look very strong, but if I buy a 100 i might be safe… no I can’t afford 100 since its 15 mana from each… Should i buy 30? It doesn’t seem like enough… I’ll wait and find the perfect safest combination!} Thinking this Little White moved on.
The [Traps] and [Rooms] tabs worked similarly to the [Beings] tab, with many categories and enhanced versions that can be unlocked. The [Traps] section had both unlimited and single use traps, and the [Rooms] section had ordinary rooms and mana-rooms. In a mana-room a specific element or mana was collected making some beings and traps stronger when build there. Beings would also get a discount for each related room, depending on how strong the room was.
The [Items] tab had all kinds of treasures and even magic and skill books. The [Level up] tab was how dungeons grew in levels, but it was to expensive for Little White to consider now.
Almost dizzy from everything thing he had gone through, Little White moved onto the last section, the [Avatar] section.
[Avatar]
Race: human
Age: young
Level: 1
Spawn avatar: Yes/No
Without considering Little White spawned an avatar and suddenly felt his conciseness split, he was now controlling both the dungeon and his new body. The avatar looked just like his old body from earth. However shocking him, his mana started to drain, and he became dizzy.
Filled with regret Little White could do nothing, but beg for the menu to stop, while his “safety points” slowly drained. 500… 450… 425… 405, his mana finally stopped at 405.
“This is horrible” Little White exclaimed “I could have bought like 6 goblins with thank kind of mana, and now it’s wasted. Sob. Sob” Little White might have some messed up priorities.
After crying and slowly calming down Little White suddenly realised that he was in a dungeon with zero defences whatsoever. However from his inherent memories he knew that dungeons were defined by the path they walked therefore he started contemplating what sort of dungeon he wanted.
{I need something strong to protect me… this shouldn’t be hard for a genius like me to figure out… I don’t want to deal with something alive and sentient like goblins, plus they might turn on me so I need something dead… Puppets? No they are too slow and easy to outsmart, but what then? Ah i got it!}
Although Little White was a nervous, anxious, selfish, introvert, braggy, lazy, panicky and gynophobic person, he was also very cautious. It was actually his strongest trait and it caused him to have many escape routes and disguises back on earth. He had even used them time to time, but it was usually him being over-cautious.
After contemplating for half a day Little White finally decided.
“My dungeon shall be an undead dungeon, perfect now that I will live forever ahahahaha!” Letting out a mad laughter, Little White summoned a level 1 skeleton commoner.
Inspecting his new skeleton, Little White felt proud as a father. He was about to summon another one when something dawned on him.
“Oh wait, I should have built a graveyard first DAMMIT” Realising his mistake Little White decided to forever live his life less impulsively and more cautiously.
