GOT IT
He couldn’t leave the platform due to the barrier encircling it, his distance from the two maniacs battling on the platform. Th second one was Bia… as he just realized they had both reached the transcendent rank!
Under everyone’s eyes, the silver-haired human struck the head of one of the two remaining rock creatures, sending it flying backward. Despite this, it quickly regained its balance and swiftly charged towards Kyle with the other creature.
A thunderous boom reverberated through the chamber as Kyle vanished from his position with remarkable agility.
The two creatures facing him emitted deafening roars and increased their pace, but his speed was unmatched.
He swiftly punched one of them in the abdomen, then glided across the floor, harnessing his spiritual energy to shatter the other creature’s leg. With a roar, the creature attempted to maintain its balance as one of its legs shattered, but before it could, Kyle materialized in front of it. The symbols on his gloves gleamed as he struck one of the creature’s eyes.
Immediately, the crimson core within the rock head fragmented, and Kyle blinked as the rest of the creature’s body went still.
“Oh… their eyes are their weakness. We just need to break the crimson orbs.”
Asher was taken aback by his words. He had failed in this stage previously because he couldn’t overcome the rock creatures, especially given their robust bodies.
“If I had known that breaking their eyes was the solution to this stage, I would not have lost! Ughh… no use in regretting anyway.”
Kyle’s eyes sparkled as he focused on the other rock creature.
‘The crimson orbs fuel these creatures. I am curious about their mechanism.’
He tilted his head and vanished from his position. However, this time, rather than breaking
the creature’s eye, he extended his hand and dug out one of the crimson orbs. As he distanced himself from the creature, its body shattered into numerous rocks.
Kyle glanced at the orb in his hand, resembling a jewel, and noticed the intricate symbols carved onto it.
“Hmmm…”
He glanced at Bia, who had begun attacking the creature’s eyes upon hearing his words. Observing her stand her ground in the battle against the rock creature, despite recently achieving the transcendent rank, Kyle was reassured she wouldn’t be overpowered.
He concentrated on the orb in his hand, examining the symbols on it.
Asher entered the platform when he saw Kyle suspended in mid-air doing nothing. He glanced at the orb in his hand.
“What are you doing?”
Kyle grasped the orb in his palm. A few symbols lit up in the air before him. Those symbols merged with the ones on the orb, and it began to alter its color. He used his divine energy, and the orb turned golden briefly, but he sighed when it swiftly switched back to crimson again.
“I was just trying manipulate the original symbols, but I guess it will take me a while to fully grasp the orb’s mechanism.”
Asher arched his brow, taken aback but didn’t dwell on it much as he had already seen Kyle pull off many extraordinary feats, rendering this one seemingly ordinary.
Kyle tossed the orb in his mind-space and shifted his gaze towards Bia. He observed her with Asher as the phoenix engulfed her opponent in golden flames. She then forged a fiery spear that darted towards one of the creature’s eyes. However, it evaded the attack by stepping to the side.
“She needs to be quicker…”
Asher remarked, but Kyle disagreed.
“No, she needs to be ruthless. She’s too concerned about those behind her, which is impacting her fighting skills.”
He glanced at the people standing behind Bia and waved his hand to create a shield in front of them. So the phoenix could use her golden flames freely, instead of restricting them to a
specific area.
“Bia, end it.”
Kyle’s voice echoed through the air. After the phoenix noticed the barrier in front of the people behind her, she unleashed her flames without hesitation before swiftly charging towards her opponent.
Countless fireballs materialized around her body, and as the creature crossed its arms to shield its lower body, Bia swiftly crafted two fire spears that pierced the creature’s eyes with lightning-fast speed.
She halted her advance just an inch from the creature before moving back, her eyes sparkling with intensity.
-“Done.”
The towering figure before her crumbled as its eyes dimmed. Kyle smiled and dispelled the shield safeguarding the group behind Bia when she returned to her smaller form.
As the phoenix landed on Kyle’s shoulder, the platform beneath them descended to rest on the bubbling water and sharp spikes below before three rocky gates opened in the wall behind the human.
Asher shifted his gaze towards the gates and began contemplating which one to enter. Bia simply glanced at Kyle.
– “Just pick one randomly, please. I have no doubt we will end up in a good place as long as it’s your choice.”
Kyle blinked at her words and chuckled. The half-dragon found it amusing and decided to let the human choose a door.
The two elves and the demi-human, standing with Zron exchanged uncertain looks, unsure of what to do next.
They silently agreed to wait for the silver-haired man and the phoenix to pick a door. Subsequently, they planned to enter a different door to avoid any interaction with the
nature’s favorite and the phoenix.
Kyle took a quick look at the three doors.
“Let’s just enter the first one.”
He started floating towards it, with Asher following behind. Zron swiftly joined the duo. Since
Kyle was stronger, the old dwarf decided that sticking with the man was a wiser choice than
the others with him.
“Wait for me!”
