Celestial Overlord - Chapter 42 Breaking Promise

It was an evening in the imperial city. The streets were crowded with people and food stalls over the side of the street. A young boy around fourteen was seen walking around wearing a blue robe.

He was beaming with smile, “at last I am able to travel alone now” Tian Lee laughed as he succeeded in sneaking out of his house.

After Mo Lee joined the sect, Tian was very bored as he didn’t have anyone to play with. He sneaked out just to spend some time. He has always stayed inside the Lee clan manor. And if he wants to go out, he was accompanied by his grandmother or father. But today he even ditched the four golden armored guards who always follow him in shadows.

His eyes were sparkling on seeing the aromatic foods in the stalls. He went on buying every food he could find there, stuffing it in his mouth. He strolled around the street. It was when he saw a young girl begging for food near a stall.

But Tian Lee frowned on seeing that young girl. Because she had aura of an demon. But it was hidden very well. His grandpa always said that demons are the true threats in the mortal realm. But what shocked Tian lee was, that young girl had a pure soul.

Tian Lee watched the things happened there. The young girl with ragged clothes and bruises all over, begging for food but the stall owner wasn’t much of a kind-hearted as he pushed her. Which in turn, she made an attempt to steal food. With her eyes were full of guilt.

Tian took action as he saved that little girl, she wept continuously. After she calmed down. She looked at Tian with eyes full of gratitude. Tian Lee smiled in return.

Under a tree, an young boy was seen sitting along with a girl, whose cheek was bulged. As she was stuffing food inside her mouth. The young boy looked at the girl with amusement. She wolfed down the food as she patted her full stomach. But on seeing Tian was staring at her , Yoshi blushed. Tian Lee smiled at her antics.

” say little one, what’s your name” Tian Lee asked the young girl, who was immersed in eating. On hearing Tian Lee voice she looked at him. “Yoshi,” she said in a small voice.

Tian Lee started asking details about her but wasn’t able to get anything. It looked like her memories were erased. So he decided not to ask anything further.

“You know stealing is bad right,” he asked her in a gentle tone. Yoshi dropped her head down. ” I had no other choice, ” Yoshi said in a squeaky voice. And she narrated the incident about how she was beaten and robbed by five men.

There were other kids who were staring at the food Yoshi was eating. Yoshi signaled them to come. As she shared the remaining foods with them. The kids had either broken leg or hand. Making them look pitiful.

Tian Lee came to know through those kids that, they were orphan and were disabled by those five men gang and made them to beg for money.

Tian Lee frowned. He had seen corrupted ones but he wouldn’t get angry until they cross the bottom line . But this five have already went too far.

“You all stay here I will be back” Tian left Yoshi and others and went. In a dark alley, a young boy was seen standing with his eyes closed. As he opened his eyes, Two scarlet coloured eyes were flickering in the dark. “Torturing and tormenting the weak because of your greed , you all must die ” Tian lee said in a cold tone as he disappeared in darkness.

The bald guy body hanged along with the sword. He was unable to believe it. To think he would die like this. The sword pierced his head as it made him look like a dead animal hanged on the wall.

The remaining four thugs shrouded. This was an unexpected development. Who is doing this? Fear invaded their heart.

They were normal thugs, who use to bully the weak and rob them.But, when they meet a strong one. They usually escape. But this time it was a strong one, all four swallowed their saliva. The voice they heard was like a young man voice. But that voice had the power that made them unable to move.

Sweat started rolling down, as their back was drenched. They were unable to see the person who spoke just now. They all were Mortal realm cultivators. To think it was a person of a higher realm. They didn’t know, what to do.

They all had a blank expression as they looked everywhere in the empty building. But not even a trace of a person can be found.

Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!

The cracking sound of the bones was heard. All four shouted when they felt the pain. The leg that they used to kick the young girl was twisted in the strange direction.

Tears flowed down as they cried in pain. Just who is it! Who is doing this to them. They all were afraid of this unknown one.

The four were down on the floor screaming in pain. At that moment, Space cracked, a young boy around fourteen years wearing a common robe stepped out. The four thugs who were shouting in pain turned silent.

Because they knew this young boy. He is the famous young master of the Lee family. The one who is known as the leech of the Lee family. Isn’t he just a mortal. What is going on here? While thinking they looked at Tian face.

Scarlet eyes which were blood red stared at them sending a chill to the spine. The aura around him wasn’t normal, it made them tremble with fear.

Even the pain they were in seemed to have gone as fear took over that. It was as if death has arrived.

“I never wanted to spill blood, but you people left me no choice” Tain lee cold voice made them tremble. The mere mortal young master of the Lee family. The guy who was said to never practiced any martial arts. Was standing in front of them like an emperor.

Fear, disbelief, shock were seen in their eyes. Because they knew the Lee clan young master was seen only as a mere ant by most in the imperial city. But no one dared to mock him because of his background. But now they felt like an ant before him.

Questions raised in their minds. Why would the young master of Lee clan want them dead? They were just normal thugs. They never troubled anyone from Lee family. Just when they were confused Tian Lee spoke again.

“You all bully the weak because you can right?” Tian Lee paused for a moment and continued again. ” Then I will kill you all because I can” a tint of anger was in that voice.

The four trembled. Their eyes went wide open. They didn’t know, whom he is talking about. They have done many ill deeds. Robbing from poor. Making the orphan kids beg for money, they even went to the extreme by making some of the kids disabled by breaking their legs.

The scarlet eyes glowed, Tian lee thought of the suffering and horror of the kids. Anger was burning inside him.

Snap! Tian Lee snapped his fingers. The moment, the sound was heard , remaining limbs of the four cracked. Pain, an unbearable pain was felt by those four. They cried, they screamed, they begged.

But Tian Lee stood there silently. Killing them in an instant was way too merciful for them. So Tian lee made them suffer just like how they made those poor kids suffer.

The four lost consciousness.But were again woke up due to pain. They were in a living hell. They wanted to die fast as they knew , they can’t escape death. But pleasant death wasn’t awaiting for them.

“BURN!” Tian Lee cold voice resounded in the abandoned building. The sound of four men screaming in horror was heard. Tian Lee looked at those five burning bodies with cold eyes.

Tian picked the ring they stole from Yoshi.” To think an inter spatial ring with so much money”. ” I wonder who she really is” but Tian left the thought of investigation later as he doesn’t want to break the promise he made more than once.

“Still four years to go, on that day I shall judge you all” Tian Lee spoke . Then he disappeared into the void as he reappeared in the dark alley.

Yoshi and the other children were sitting under the tree. On seeing them a glint of sorrow was seen on Tia. Lee eyes. ” To think they all have to go through all this in such a young age ” he sighed as he thought.

Tian lee walked infront of the children. They all were in miserable state. He knew that he can’t help everyone in the world. But he can at least help the person who is suffering in front of him. So, he decided to bring them with him to the Lee clan.

” Do you guys want to come with me ” Tian Lee asked them in a gentle tone. The orphan kids were shocked because they knew how they were treated. Even their parents abandoned them. Love was something that seemed unattainable to them.

To think there was someone who still cared about them. Tears flowed from their eyes. As they nodded. Yoshi who was scared of believing people wanted to trust this young man.

Smiling in return, Tian Lee went towards Yoshi as he gave her the ring. Yoshi was startled.

“Young master how did you got this back,” ,Yoshi asked in a surprised tone. ” Haha, I just asked them to give it back” ,Tian Lee said as he walked. An army of ten orphan kid and Yoshi followed behind him. Without knowing what the future holds for them.
