Celestial Overlord - Chapter 64 Black sword

The sword vibrated as it flew towards Tian Lee, hovering in front of him. Ning Wu eyes went wide open while looking at the scene. Her father told her that this sword might be a legendary artifact used by some god that was left after the great war.

Still, no one was able to unsheathe the sword in their Wu clan. But today the sword itself flew towards Tain Lee as if it was waiting to be unsheathed by him. Tian Lee held the hilt, the sword trembled as if it had found its master.

The dark room was filled with blinding light as Tian Lee unsheathed the sword. Ning Wu was not able to look. She closed her eyes due to the brightness. When she opened her eyes to look, she saw Tian Lee with his real form holding a pure black sword which was still trembling in his hands.

On a closer look, Tian Looked like a Celestial War God. Tian Lee stared at the sword which was resonating with his power. It felt like the sword was just made for him. He sheathed the sword as he returned back to his normal appearance.

Ning Wu was still staring at him with a dumb look, she really can not get over it, just what kind of existence was he. “Mother!” Tian lee voice woke her up, “can I take this sword!, I kind of like this,” he said looking at her.

Ning Wu nodded her head in response, even if she wants to keep the sword to herself, there was no use since no one was able to unsheathe it.

Seeing Ning Wu positive nod, Tian Lee smiled back. He was really curious now. Just why would this sword react with his powers? He really wanted to know.

Both Ning Wu and Tian Lee were on their way to the Lotus sect. The sun was setting as the streets were crowded with people. But it was unnaturally too much crowded than the normal days.

“Aunt!..” hearing this Ning Wu glared at Tian Lee. Tian Lee swallowed the remaining words, as he laughed scratching the back of his head. He was still not able to completely change the way of how he called her. “Mother!” Tian Lee said as he looked at Ning Wu, hearing this she smiled. “What is it Tian’er?” Ning Wu said.

“Is there something happening in Jiang City?” he asked in a curious tone. “Oh! You mean the crowd! Yes! The inter sect competition is going to take place in Jiang city next week” she said. Looking at Tian Lee puzzled look, Ning Wu understood he did not know about it.

“You don’t know right! Let Mother explain to you!” she said with a smug. So what if Tian’er is so powerful, he is still a kid who does not know anything about the outside world.

“It is a competition, held every year in our Taing country!”. ” The four major sect participates in this competition”. “The students of the four major sect fight for the ultimate glory”.

“The competition is for five days, it consists of Alchemy, beast taming, and lastly the martial arts” she spoke without break but only to see Tian Lee already left her side and was buying foods from the stalls. Ning Wu sighed as she laughed.

While she was looking at Tian Lee, a mocking voice came from behind. “Isn’t that the famous alchemy master Ning Wu of Lotus sect” a female voice which was arrogant.

Looking behind her. Ning Wu saw a group of females in violet robe. A middle-aged women was leading them, as five young girls followed her. “Hey look its the Purple cloud sect” someone in the crowd shouted.

“You mean the sect which is known for having only female disciples” another one added. “Not only they are famous for that, they are ranked second in intersect competition, only behind the Black thunder sect”

“You mean the sect where the First and second prince were trained, they always take the first place”.” of course ! Only the elites are allowed to enter that sect you know!” the crowd were gossiping among themselves.

The middle aged women had a mocking look as she looked at Ning Wu “Hmph! How degraded the Lotus sect has become to even make you as their Supreme Elder” but even though she was mocking Ning Wu in public. Ning Wu had no reaction, as she started walking ignoring the rant of the middle aged women.

“How dare you ignore me!” the middle aged women shouted as she released her aura. The surrounding crowd gasped. “A Monarch realm cultivator” everyone mumbled. Cultivation in this world had ten stages in each realm and each stages were separated into Low, mid and peak.

The middle aged women was a Lower Monarch realm cultivator. She was at the first stage where as Ning Wu was at the peak of Spiritual realm tenth stage. If it were before Ning Wu would have showed some reaction. But now things like higher realm cultivator does not daze her after seeing Tian Lee power.

“Just because you lost the Alchemy contest against me! Doesn’t mean you always have to be like this Elder Fei” hearing Ning Wu reply further angered her. But it was the real reason she lost a Alchemy contest against Ning Wu. Which made her to look at Ning Wu as rival and she hated Ning Wu for being better than her.

But Elder Fei started laughing suddenly making Ning Wu puzzled. “So what If you have won a single competition!, did you see the five young ladies behind me! They all are gifted in Alchemy and they chose me as their Master!, do you even know what a disciple means” Elder Fei said looking at Ning Wu, as she thought “Hmph! What will you say now!”

Just as Elder Fei was waiting for Ning Wu reply, she heard a young man voice. Which sounded completely unreasonable to the current situation.

“Mother! This fried chickens are good, do you want some?” he spoke to Ning Wu as he completely ignored Elder Fei.
