The crowd were settled as they waited for the competition to begin. The slots were taken as the disciples were alloted to their specific stage. The first competition was between Yu Ling and a disciple from the Divine Dragon sect.

The Elders of the sects took the position as the referee. The competition has always been strict, since it was overlooked by the Emperor. The first two competitor came forward.

But the competition ended so quickly as Yu Ling sent the disciple flying out of the stage with a single move.

The crowd roared seeing the scene. “Hey! Who is that? I have never seen her before” some one shouted in the crowd. “She is Yu Ling! One of the core disciple of Black Thunder sect!” another guy replied. “She is well known for her cold personality! And always been concentrating on her cultivation thus not many knows about her” he explained.

“You mean the one that Lee clan young master was engaged to!” another one said. “Woah! Did he reject a beauty like this! He must have some really low self esteem, I can feel how he would feel, when compared to a beauty with talent like her” a disciple said with a sad tone.

But soon he felt a killing intent directed towards him. When he saw in that direction, he saw Yu Ling staring at him with cold gaze. He did not know what angered her. As he averted his gaze in fear.

“Why is she glaring at us like that?” he whispered as he asked this disciple beside him. “May be she got angry! When you said about her broken engagement” the other one replied. They were really terrified looking at her cold gaze.

Yu Ling was staring at them with killing intent. “Hmph! Idiots” she thought as she turned and saw Tian Lee. Who was in turn looking at her as he waved his hands. Yu Ling blushed looking at his action.

The day when they met, she invited him to watch her match. “Did he really came to see me?” she wondered. She never held hope that he would come, because for someone powerful like him. This was nothing but a Childs play in his eyes.

Even those were just some minutes of talk that day. It was still her best moment in her life. She waved back at him as her face became red as tomato.

Looking at the scene the whole Lee and Ling clan were dumbstruck. “What happened between them?” they all wondered. And many of the people who knew about the broken engagement were also shocked.

She went back to her seat among the shocked gazes of her fellow disciple. “The ice cold beauty was blushing!” they all were pondering just what happened.

Just as the second match was about to start. A old man who was walking with great difficulty went up to the place where Emperor was sitting. The Emperor frowned seeing the old man, bit did not say anything. The old man came near his second wife.

“Uncle Hon! What happened?” she asked him, even she felt bad looking at his state. “Xiu! I remember now! It was that girl who was there on that day!” he said pointing at Yu Ling. But on seeing her She was flabbergasted. Even if she wants she can’t do anything towards her. After all Yu Ling was a core disciple of Black Thunder sect.

“I am sorry uncle! But I think we should forget about this!” she whispered. “Then! What about him!” he said pointing about Tian Lee. “What did that mortal do?” she asked after using up Tian Lee.

“He was also there! Along with her” he said. She thought for a moment and came to a conclusion. “Even if he is a mortal, being a young master of a powerful clan, he must have some life saving treasure” she ended up thinking like that.

“It is time to put the clans in their place, that too Lee clan has been in the limelight recently” she said as she plotted against Tian Lee. She whispered to Old Hon about her plan, hearing this Old Hon smiled.

Not only his respect even his manhood was taken away. He needed at least some revenge against them. Hearing her idea Old Hon grinned.

The competition commenced as the disciples fought. The second Prince and Third Princess displayed their skills. While Leifen also attracted the crowds with her skills.

And the next match was Mo Lee’s. She had to fight against someone of above her level. But the fight ended quickly. As the whole stage was like burning in fire.

“Just when I thought that one was already enough, now I had deal with another cat burglar!” she thought as she glared at Yu Ling.

Only to see Yu Ling staring at Tian Lee. This further made her angry. Just as she was glaring at Yu Ling while walking down. The Black Thunder sect’s Patriarch voice startled everyone including her.

“We have a new announcement here!” he said with a frown. But it came down as a royal order, thus he thought it was the Emperor decision.
