The area became dark again…

But this time, this place had a predator with bloody eyes and she was hungry for her prey’s blood.

They had come thinking that they will overpower her and would make use of the darkness, she was just a woman, they thought.

The result?

It was the pool of blood she created!

Just when she had put down another man, for the first time, this space saw light and they lit up suddenly blinding these people who had been constraining themselves to find her…

As for Meilin, she had her eyes closed this whole time to sharpen her other senses…

As she slowly opened her eyes, she cut another two when they were blinded… and just like that, by the time those behind the camera could see the situation more clearly…

Meilin was the only person standing with men grovelling beside her leg; some crying of pain while others cursed at her.

Meilin hadn’t killed anyone, she needn’t need to worry about these people taking revenge because their only future was the central prison plus, she had cut the parts that needed to be cut…

Her hands were stained with blood dripping down from them, but her eyes remained unfeeling… she suavely looked at the surveillance camera at the top-corners and mouthes a, -your turn… next- and with swift movements, she raised the cut arms of two men beside her using the blades in her hand and-

The hands flew at a tremendous speed simultaneously towards the opposite corners of this hall and broke the protruding cameras…

Just then–

“Li…n..lin?”, she heard the softest whisper of her Xuanxuan till date and for a second, her heart suffered a heavy blow… her guilt of taking this long to come to his rescue was trying to outweigh her reason.

The beast inside was still roaring, it wanted annihilation… and also wanted to make the owner of this voice a part of itself, to mend them together… that way, she won’t have to go through this ever again… that way, he would always be a part of her and could never leave her… for a second, she felt that it was the right thing to do… but one look at him and that thought vanished…

The man’s eyes were still a bit blurry and he still wasn’t able to sit down and had rolled over to get a look at her…. his eyes held a hint of confusion, as if, he couldn’t believe reality…well, he could have never guessed that she would come this soon to get him or more like, he thought that she would wait… well, the Meilin he understood had many sides he still wasn’t aware of…

Anyway, the emotion exceeding the confusion was relief and hope…

He had thought that she would forget him, she wouldn’t want him… her illusion will finally break after he left and she will find that what she felt for him was a bout of possessiveness and not love… he had been scared that he won’t be able to meet her….but just her presence, even if this was an illusion, a hallucination he was seeing… it meant a lot to him…

Even though it hurt to speak and he felt dizzy, he still tried to call her name, as if to make this moment last a little longer with a silly smile on his face as tears rolled down his eyes… “Lin…lin… Lin..li..n… Lin…li–”

He saw her run towards him and kneel down…

He felt her cold hands grasping his n.a.k.e.d body… but it sent a warm current down his body…

He saw her help his body up and after she had taken another look at his face, she embraced him, as the warmth of her body finally sank down, his eyes widened…

“It…really….is…you? Li..n…lin?”, he whispered.

Meilin didn’t say answer his question but whispered, “I’m really sorry… I was so late… I’m really sorry… Xuanxuan..”

Before ZiXuan could say anything… he felt warm drops fall on his back…

He was too shocked and froze…

He had never seen her like this… not even once…

Meilin… she was crying…
