Ceo And His Empress.. - Volume 2 Chapter 218 215. Fist..
In the Qin mansion…
ZiXuan had just greeted his grandparents after coming back from work when his grandfather asked him to follow him into his study.
After they were seated, Uncle Xiao, their head butler, brought some herbal tea for them.
ZiXuan raised an eyebrow and directly asked him, “Grandfather, no need for all this. You can tell me anything… I can handle it…”, this small gesture of herbal tea has always been a part of a long and serious talk in the family and ZiXuan could guess that his grandfather was actually not up for it and so, he asked him to just tell him up front.
He saw him sigh before saying, “I would like you to join the special forces for the first half of the year. Don’t worry it’s nothing serious, just that, it has been a part of the family’s rules to follow it. You may not know it, but she did it back when she was 7 years old…”
“Linlin?”, he asked.
Qin Mo gave him a look and nodded, though it sounded absurd, in the end, it was just training rather than war and back then Meilin was adamant about joining the forces for some reason, they had tried to stop her and even got some bodyguards to look after her, but the result remained the same.
She said that if she didn’t become stronger she won’t be able to protect her loved ones and it seems, she had been having bad dreams about someone dying in her hands since forever… they even took her to a psychiatrist, but all they found was that her IQ was too high for her age.
In the end, they still didn’t want her to go so, she retorted to the worst choice and ran away to join the military and came back home 6 months later… it also became a reason behind Qin Mo searching for a friend for her, finally, this position was taken by the little Xuan after a month or less.
When ZiXuan thought about how much she would have suffered back then, he couldn’t help but frown but following the same thought, he couldn’t help but smile when he thought about how it was probably the first time she acted so stubborn… if possible, he would have loved to see her like that.
These days, he has been missing her quite a lot… he wondered when she will get back to him… an unfathomable look laced his eyes.
As for the matter about joining the special forces, he didn’t have much say on the matter, if his grandfather wanted to, he didn’t mind joining it… it will also help him strengthen himself and also diverted his thoughts from her, at least for a little while.
A week later, he joined the forces as a new recruit while using his alias of Mu Xuan.
As expected of the special division, during the training, he didn’t have the time to think about something else and he became too exhausted after it to worry about her… he had indeed lessened his workout regime for these few years, but he didn’t think that it will be this harsh…
Well, better late than never, he could still save the situation… he needed to get stronger.
After two weeks of severe training, they were flown to conduct a few mission and as coincidental as it got, he also found some seniors who were already ranked officers talk to them about a strong little girl from over a decade ago!!
Compared to how he was in that hell, he could very easily get along with the people here and though they couldn’t be called friends, he developed a sense of comradeship with them!
It was exhausting, but he felt very contented… there was also the pride of doing something of this level for the country, he couldn’t help but feel good.
He again found out just how much the Qin family had given him and he was grateful to them from the core of his heart.
Before knowing, he had been a part of this troop for four months now and though it was not required, he also took in many missions to get a hold of his previous form faster, in the way, winning a few accolades as his rank was raised from second-lieutenant to first and he was already close to becoming a captain… this would be hard for normal soldiers, but this was the special forces and the merit won was also different considering their jobs mainly threw them in extremely dangerous missions where they couldn’t be guaranteed of their lives!
ZiXuan had finally returned from another mission when he finally saw the face of his roommate who has been away this whole time.
But the moment their eyes met, it was as if time had stopped…
The man was at least 10 years older than him and was in his prime years; he was probably taller than himself and was buffed too, a small scar ran down his eyebrow, but it actually added to his personal charm… even though he was doing a righteous job, ZiXuan couldn’t help but feel that he didn’t belong here, there was a hidden evil light in his eyes… it was very similar to his own… it was seen in those who held wanted vengeance and he also felt this strong feeling that he had seen a similar face somewhere.
As for the other man, the moment he saw this handsome man, before the fact of him being his roommate could register, the similarity of his face to a certain man almost made him go into a rampage.
The two asked simultaneously-
“Do I know you?”
“Who are you?”
ZiXuan was younger and was his rank was also lower so, he gave the man a salute and replied, ” Reporting, sir! Lieutenant Mu Xuan. Unit Eagle. Special forces.”
ZiXuan stood straight and looked into the eyes of the man and so, he saw his eyes dim when he heard his name as he heard him ask,
“Mu? You won’t say you come from HK-country now would you?”, there was an evil glint in the man’s eyes and ZiXuan knew that his answers would decide his fate, not that he was scared, it’s just that, he wouldn’t want to create a ruckus here. In the end, he was representing the Qin and he didn’t want to bring shame to his grandparents.
Still, he didn’t want to lie considering he also wanted some answers to this feeling of deja vu, he got from this man.
“I left HK-country more than a decade ago. I have been living here since then with my foster grandparents”, he replied with a stoic face.
But–
He heard the man whisper a name…
[Mu Tianluo]
Never having expected to hear that man’s name, ZiXuan’s eyes couldn’t help but constrict.
He wanted to ask this man why he knew him, but the next second he saw the man leap into the air as he saw him raise his fist to punch him.
He heard him shout as he blocked his frontal assault, “You bastard! You are related to that devil! You don’t deserve to live!!”
ZiXuan’s eyes furrowed, never in his wildest dream would he have thought that he would be actually held guilty for being the son of the only person he hated to death in this world… but it felt like his memory refreshed and he could finally connect a few dots…
He finally knew why he felt like he knew this man…
It was the first time he had seen such a brutal murder at close range… after all, it had left a deep impression and a trauma as well.
This man indeed had an uncanny resemblance to that man called “Xiao Hei”, the man he had seen die back then!!
He felt like fate was playing with his life again; his past was coming to haunt him again…
But before he could do something about it, he had to get this man off him.
He blocked another of the man’s kick and went on full attack himself; he didn’t want to create a scene, but his safety came first and he didn’t think he would be able to handle this man after how much he had lacked behind these last few years!
To him, stopping this man seemed like the correct answer to the question as well!.
For the next few minuted only the roaring sound of fists and kicks colliding resounded inside the room, if not for it being the peak hour for lunch, this would have indeed become an issue, but no one was present in the rooms of this hall except them so, they were indeed saved from punishment… Fighting in closed halls between soldiers was strictly prohibited when not in training and the punishment was severe as well!
The two were exhausted from their respective missions and didn’t have much energy, to begin with so, after their fists collided for the last time, the two fell back on to the floor and looked at the ceiling.
Nobody talked for a long time…
But after having calmed down a lot, the man finally introduced himself, “My name is Xiao Bai. That man killed my brother years ago…”, one could hear him gritting his teeth under his breath, his hatred immense… but still, ” I apologise for my rash behaviour”
He had indeed lost his cool and knew that it was his fault and directly apologised well, considering his position one could still empathise with him… you see, this revenge has been brewing for years now, he had given all his youth and life for this and as such, when he finally saw a man, resembling that devil so much with the same surname, he had indeed lost it.
As for ZiXuan, he readily accepted it…, he for one, definitely knew where this man was coming fom!
After a pause, he directly replied, “… He is my mortal nemesis even though his blood runs through me… He destroyed my past…”, his voice devoid of any feeling of nostalgia or, respect for that man.
Though he didn’t follow the doctrines of ‘the enemy of your enemy is your friend”, or “men spoke with fists”, for the first time he believed in the two…
Their revenge had just started.
