ZiXuan had asked Meilin, though reluctantly, if she would like to go back, but given the option to choose, Meilin thought she would rather stay with him… not only because he was the first person she met but also cause she felt that she would like to stay with this person and the thought of leaving him behind made it very painful for her head as she felt someone strangling her heart.

In the end, the two decided to shift to a hotel suite nearby…

Meilin didn’t think that anything was off as this felt natural, she wondered if they were used to it.

She had actually been intending to ask the relationship they shared, well, it didn’t seem like they were siblings… but she wondered if they were partners?

It was already deep into the night when they came here and after they had a very simple dinner with a few local specialities they headed to sleep.

Meilin couldn’t do much even if she wanted to so after she changed into some comfortable clothes, she sat beside ZiXuan was doing some last bits of work for the day.

When Meilin heard him stop, she turned her body towards him… she knew it was not possible for the time being, but she had wanted to get a look at this man…

All her senses were sharpened and even more so when she had lost one of it temporarily… she heard him get off from the single sofa and come to her; once there, she felt him kneel in front of her as her head also followed his movements.

ZiXuan took her hand into his own and spoke in his deep voice, “Shall we go to sleep…?”

Meilin visibly froze… she was definitely confused because she couldn’t grasp the nuance… she wasn’t sure if he meant to sleep together or just go to their beds.

ZiXuan, on the other hand, found that his words were a little ambiguous only after he saw her stiffen… in normal times, he would have definitely used this to his favour and he was actually very inclined to do it as all this while, a voice from a deeper corner of his heart, kept egging him to have her only for himself, and also how relieved he was to know that she found his presence to be very comforting and how secure she felt… this desire only increased.

When ZiXuan got up, he felt a small tug… he looked down, only to see his Linlin, a little fl.u.s.tered as she very lightly held the hem of his pyjama’s shirt…

‘Has she ever acted this cute?’, he couldn’t help but wonder… she might have as a child, but it was negligible after he came into her life, she was either strict with herself or, was strict on others and only smiled when she was with him~

He had grown up loving such a person, but he didn’t mind such changes!!!!!

He saw her bite on those beautiful lips of her as she had a brooding look, but in the end, she still spoke… “Xuanxuan…hm.. can you tell me more about us…?”, she had the gauze taken off and right now, she was looking straight at ZiXuan with her head tilted to the side and her lips a little pouty…

ZiXuan let her sit on the chaise as he ran back to get some hot-chocolate that he had ordered… let’s face it, if Meilin hadn’t asked for it, he would have still done something and was hence, ready for it.

He gave the cup before saying, “It’s hot…”

“hm…thank you…”, she gave a polite reply.

“hm.. where should I start?..”, they both were the other’s youth and life…. every moment was beautiful and he felt that even he didn’t have that rich set of words to describe them…if possible, he wouldn’t like to miss a single thing, but if he did tell each and every one of them, he wondered how many years it would take him.

No matter if it was a sad moment they shared or, something happened that tickled them to the bone… just because they were a part of it, it became an irreplaceable second of his memories… thinking back, they actually haven’t taken back to live on those moments… ever.

Of course, the next second and the present one was also a gift, but so were those that they have already lived in… going down the lane of memories, a smile couldn’t help but bloom on his charming face.
