Mu Tianluo was shot on his leg by Xiao Bai; he had wanted to directly kill the man, but he felt that was too easy of a way out.

Mu Tianluo has been a part of this gang from an early age, but he was brought here by the previous head and he was too strong back then for anyone to treat him badly; ironically enough, in spite of being a part of this world all this year, he rarely bloodied his hands and after he had his son and took over the Li conglomerate it stood there as a fact… Of course, watching others writhing in pain and begging him for life had become his form of entertainment, but he never thought that one day he will be forced into this state.

Everything should have followed his plan and he should have had everything by now; but just like that s.l.u.t of a woman, her son also became a thorn in his path…that woman stole his wife from him and her son was now trying to steal his chance of meeting his son…

He has been quite indignant, but Guan Li had lost and the man who once almost gave his life for him acted out a coup…

Everything was their fault… he will never forgive anyone of them… not that woman, not her son, not that young heiress or that traitor and definitely not Guan Li…

Anyway, just when he thought that those people won’t be coming anymore and no matter how much he shouted they won’t give him anything, he heard the solid steel door open…. Mu Tianluo looked up only to see Guan Li in branded clothes coming to him.

Of course, this man didn’t trust anyone and the thought of Guan Li coming here to save him never crossed his mind… as if, the plug that had been inhibiting his pent of emotions blasted, he gave Guan Li a look before he started laughing, “hahahaha…. what? Have you come to take your revenge now? Were you also involved in that plan…?”

Guan Li froze with a frown, he for a second couldn’t recognise this man… the man he had revered as a father-figure all these years somehow looked unrecognisable all of a sudden.

Mu Tianluo, on the other hand, found his frown as a sign of confirming and–

“….hah… Your father was similar too; he betrayed the gang and the result…. he became an addict after I used some connections… that day when I found you, I thought it would be interesting to raise a puppy… but who would have thought that it would bite the hand that fed him!… hahaha… well, just like you betrayed me today.. do you think you can continue living… you are just a killing machine… what else can you do? Hahahahaha….”.. and just like that, without him knowing it forever, he had lost the only chance that could have given him his freedom from this place…

Guan Li’s body trembled as his eyes became unfocused and a ringing sound reverberated inside his head…

‘What did he mean…? Wasn’t he…. my saviour? Why is acting like this..?’

He wanted to shout at him and ask him what did he mean and that he should stop joking… he didn’t need to make him hate himself… they both could run away… well, he was trying to make himself believe that everything was an act, but when he saw that undisguised contempt and disgust in the man’s eyes, he was slapped with reality and all he could do was run away from there…

Meilin had made a guess when she learned that Guan Li had run away and of course, even though the chances of it happening was very low, she wasn’t the least bit surprised.

She could hear the guards surrounding her changing their position to protect her and at the same time overthrow the opponent… She wasn’t the least bit scared, these guards were indeed trained under her and there is no way with their sheer advantage in number they will lose to that man, but the real reason was that she didn’t think that Guan Li had come here to attack her…let’s just call it a gut feeling or, maybe her body still remembered the fight and knew that this man was not like that.

Guan Li stopped around 6 steps away from them and spoke, “….I lost everything…if not for you, I could still have a home!!”, his voice laced with pure anger and distress… but Meilin could still hear a tinge of his helplessness…

Meilin didn’t think that she was an empathetic person, to begin with, and more so after she lost her memories, but he had beaten the shit out of this man and her revenge was probably served; she could say this because she thought that her previous self would have ended his life if she had wanted to and since she didn’t that meant that this man was useful… even when she lost her memories, it wasn’t hard for her to guess that… in the end, they were still the same person after all…

Meilin cut him off, “..You would be still living in the utopia you created…? It’s between you and me so tell me the truth… There is no way you thought that Mu Tianluo was the man you thought him to be, right?”

Meilin was told about this person by ZiXuan yesterday night after he came back from his work… she had a rough grasp of the situation, though ZiXuan tried to hide the truth about many things, she wasn’t someone who couldn’t read between the lines.

As expected, Guan Li couldn’t answer her… he had been following Mu Tianluo for the longest of the time and so, he had a better grasp over his personality and saw the changes that occurred in him throughout the years and so, he could only grit his teeth as he couldn’t refute her words.

The guards were shocked too, but it was her decision and they couldn’t go against it… Then again, she had never let go of anyone with potential and this man was at the peak of the strength human could achieve already… It was just that they had been enemies a day or two ago and the change in sides definitely came as a surprise.

Guan Li, on the other hand, the most distorted face of them all and looked as if he had gulped a few flies; even he wasn’t sure why he came here… when he saw her, the thought of killing her and then killing himself after that did cross his mind, but his will wouldn’t allow it.

This woman was the very first person to defeat him, if possible he would still like to have another fight with her and so, all he could do was to come and rant in front of her… he was aware that it was very childish, but at this point, he couldn’t think of anyone other than this woman… he felt that she was the only person who could understand him and just when he thought he was going to start, this woman threw a straight ball at him with any warning!

“You said you don’t have place to return to and I’m guessing you are useless everywhere except for fighting… but at least you are good at something, right? I don’t hate strong men… you are definitely useful and you can ask these people about my treatment… you won’t be losing out on anything..”, if one didn’t know, just like the people here, no one would think that she had actually lost her memory!
