Ceo In A Fantasy World - 218 Chapter 218
Caesar sauntered towards the nearest alleyway and jumped onto a building, acquiring a birds-eye view of Limbo kingdom. The place was quite beautiful and sublime. However, towards the eastern side of the nation, loomed the ghetto.
Poor infrastructure and an absence of purity stained the location. It was like a blemish on the face of a lovely maiden. The entire area appeared to be rather poor and was a perfect hunting grounds for Caesar.
Since the grounds were clearly unkempt, he could only assume that not many guards, nor officials roamed about over there. Thus, he jumped down from the house and didn’t hesitate to approach the area with long strides.
He adorned a relatively plain outfit, so his appearance didn’t garner too much attention. The bustling streets slowly died down as he moved more and more eastward. Gusts of wind plastered Caesar’s cloak to his back, then streamed it out behind him.
The weather felt quite lovely today, and Caesar couldn’t help but curl his lips upward. The desolate streets that were made of fragile stone greeted him as he finally reached the slums. In contrast to Rahvin kingdom, there weren’t many beggars on the sides of the road.
Instead, trash littered the floors and animals scavenged around. A few humans could be seen loitering around the alleys, plotting something. On the other hand, a group of demi-humans were surrounding a rather large building in the middle of a plaza.
Their races varied; some looked like succubi, others looked like dwarves, and strange, blue humanoids. Caesar inspected the building they were protecting and surveyed the area surrounding it. He could sense quite a large number of creatures with mana.
Unfortunately for the others, Caesar had formed a habit to tame his mana subconsciously. Besides, not everyone possessed the mana-sensing capabilities a vampire did. Even a mere blood-thrall was more proficient than the norm.
Caesar didn’t even bother concealing his appearance as he flamboyantly walked toward the building. The succubi-like stared at him incredulously and lifted their weapons defensively. They were a group of rather ugly and curvaceous women. Little horns rested on their forehead and a petite tail exited from their behind.
Compared to the succubus in fairy tails, the ones in front of him were quite ugly. While Caesar was busy judging their hideous appearance, they opened their repugnant mouths, “get off sir Raldine’s property, or face the consequences,” one of them said with a low growl.
Caesar glanced at the woman and clicked his tongue in displeasure. He turned his head to the sides and squinted his eyes in bewilderment, “I don’t appear to be trespassing, nor am I on anyone’s territory.” he replied.
Suddenly, the succubi laughed loudly. “This entire area is owned by lord Raldine. Not even the nobles dare to trespass in this area.” the succubus smirked, “you’re probably a newcomer… and now that I look at you in detail, you’re quite handsome as well,” she continued while licking her lips.
“How repulsive,” Caesar responded with a scoff, “I assume that’s the main reason why there are no residents in the slums? This “lord Raldine” has taken care of them?”
As he spoke to here, the group of succubi growled even angrier. They hated nothing more than their beauty to be insulted. The appearance of a succubus generally showcased their strength and charm abilities: the prettier, the more powerful.
“Hmph, Lord Raldine was magnanimous and offered work to the revolting beggars. He supplied them with jobs at the mines and even graced their children with protection and food. Of course, they are no longer allowed to see their kids any longer,” the succubus replied arrogantly as if Raldine’s achievements were her own.
Caesar nodded his head in understanding whilst blowing on his elegant finger-nails, not at all amused. “This Raldine figure, is he present?” he asked with a yawn, completely disregarding the women in front of him.
Angered, the succubus replied vehemently, “No, he’s not, so we can do whatever we want with you,” the woman said with a grin, taking a few steps forward, “I’ve never tasted a man of your caliber.”
After her words passed, Caesar’s entire demeanor changed, and his eyes squinted dangerously. He didn’t feel like causing any trouble that would come back to bite him in the arse. Thus, he planned only to act if he knew that no information would be leaked.
Since Raldine was not present, then he could simply kill the group of bodyguards without hesitation. He could tell from their aura that they had killed before, and judging by their personality, they were quite unethical.
Caesar had no qualms about taking out the trash, so he merely raised his index finger and pointed it at the succubus woman. “You’ve got one thing wrong about me, darling.” he paused as a cold mist started to exude from his finger, “I’m no mere human.”
Instantaneously, a sharp piece of ice penetrated the succubi’s forehead and exited out her skull. The woman’s eyes were opened wide in shock as her body fell to the ground, wafting up a plume of dirt.
The surroundings were silent as Caesar’s smile became broader. He crouched down while the others were still in shock and sunk his teeth into the succubi’s neck, sucking the rest of her mana out in mere seconds.

Caesar licked the blood that trailed down from his lips and a sharper light radiated from his eyes. A few dozen arrows made out of ice congealed above his shoulders and shot out in every direction, tracing the group of guards.
Before they could even recollect themselves, they were impaled by the ice. Meager guards were no match for Caesar’s strength that he had tempered in the dark continent. He walked past the many bodies as if he were taking a stroll in his garden, sucking the remaining mana out of their remains.
Perhaps, the only way to evolving was genuinely turning into a blood-demon.

As his percentage grew, the smile of Caesar’s face widened. He made sure not to go too wild, and only killed a minimal number of people. He only hunted the ones that permeated a thick scent of death. Although it could still be considered evil, to gain strength, it was necessary.
