Ceo Unrivaled - Chapter 309
“It’s hard to do endorsements? How do you feel?” Sofia asked her group. She wanted to calculate their opinions and analyze if their group would continue to collaborate with other brands soon.
The members expressed a long sigh. All of them casually sat on the couch and extended all their limbs to relax.
“It’s tiring but, I’m actually enjoying, Sof. Even if it’s hard, I actually like it,” Claire grinned. Her eyes were darted at the ceiling and she stared there for a long time.
Sofia closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Then, she exhaled and smiled, “There are many people in the gaming industry who want to endorse brand deals and collaborate with other companies. We are lucky to be referred by boss Wang and have this opportunity. This time, we can test if we are really interested in doing endorsements. Because, if you feel like it’s too troublesome, we can just focus on practicing our gameplay.”
“Sof, you are our leader. We will always follow your arrangements. We won’t reach this far if it’s not because of you,” Clark expressed feeling deep sentiments of their current achievements.
“And when you told manager Lan that what you like is playing games… I almost burst into laughter. She actually looked very disappointed!” Joey whispered at them. His feet rocked back and forth and his shoulder trembled in delight.
“That’s right. I think she wants you to work for her, Sof. It’s obviously written in her face,” Claire commented too.
“Hmmn… By the way, do you require OJT, Steph? Joey?” Sofia suddenly inquired. These two were in their senior high and would soon graduate. Based on their academic curriculum, they had to undergo on-the-job training before graduation.
“Sof, please, don’t worry about it. You are already thinking of our squad, our club, our business, and this endorsement. Leave this study to us. We will graduate,” Stephen emphasized and everyone hummed their agreement.
“There is sister Jing for the squad. Sister Heiz will handle the club. Danny and Derek will be in our business,” Sofia chuckled. “Right now, I’m just showing them how to handle the operations. Eventually, we will only supervise them.”
“How about your night class, Sof? How are your teachers? Somehow, the students seemed to have no more nasty opinions about nigh class students,” Claire spoke and closed her eyes. She leaned on Clark’s shoulder and smiled at him.
“Yeah, it seems,” Sofia softly replied. She suddenly remembered the last time she attended the class and saw the butterfly effect book of her teacher. “I don’t really pay much attention to our fellow students these days.”
“I’ve seen few netizens trolling in social media about our participation in the regional tournament, Sof. They also created memes about us,” Joey stated. He reached his bag and took out his phone. After searching the posts, he showed it to them.
The group looked together and saw the posts. “They are really creative. Nevermind. Anyway, have you heard of the Slayer Gods Squad? According to WINS, they will represent their clubs in the regional tournament.”
“Yeah, I know the history of their squad leader and WINS. It was once trending in the MMORPG community,” Joey replied and kept his phone back in his bag.
“The disbandment of the best guild was once a hashtag that trends for a week. It was about them,” Stephen supplied.
“After this endorsement project, let’s focus on our practice,” Sofia simply said and everyone nodded their heads.
“By the way, there is a rumor that the regional tournament will actually be held… not in our region. It will be in Plum North,” Clark suddenly opened up another subject.
“The Plum North!? Their language is different there,” Claire subconsciously scratched her head and looked surprised. “I thought it will be in district 6.”
“That’s another rumor. If not in Plum North, it will be in district 6,” Clark replied.
Sofia gently brushed her hair using her fingers and massaged her forehead. “Clark, you’ve become the gossip master. Don’t be anxious about rumors. Since the tournament organizers have no official venue, it may be in a completely different place.”
“Hahaha, I just saw it, Sof. You know, my elder brother James… he is actually very updated about the tournament rumors online,” Clark defended.
“If it’s in the Plum North Region, then, we will go there. If it’s in district 6, much better,” Sofia giggled. But at the back of her head, she could not help but secretly thought about the other possibility. ‘Any place is fine as long as it’s not in district 2.’
She was determined to avoid going to district 2 in her lifetime. For some reason unknown to her, just by simply thinking about stepping a foot in district 2 gave her a dreadful feeling.
“Alright! Break time is over! Let’s go!” Emerson’s voice reverberated once more.
The group quickly stood from the couch and went back to the center.
“EHEM! Excuse me?” a middle-aged woman suddenly called from the doorway.
“Yes?” Emerson replied and turned around to face in the direction.
“This studio set is scheduled for 3:00 PM film shooting. We need to decorate the entire place with our props! You must end your photo shoot,” the woman demanded.
Without waiting for Emerson’s response, she waved her hand and led several men carrying large props to step inside. They quickly put their props in the side and exited the room.
“But, we are not yet done with our project. And it’s not yet 3 PM! We cannot just abruptly end this just because you want us to finish our photo shoot here,” Emerson protested and walked towards the woman. He glanced at the Chronos squad and gave them a reassuring smile.
“What do you mean by that? Of course, it’s not yet 3 PM! The filming will start at that time. All decorations must be ready at 3 PM! Otherwise, the director will scold me!” the woman coldly spoke at Emerson, giving him a cold look.
“I know that. But, this set is scheduled until 2:30 PM for me. You have to wait until its 2:30!” Emerson calmly held his argument.
“What?! Do you expect us to finish our decoration in just 30 minutes? Our theme is historical background. This decoration will require us a minimum of one hour. You need to end this photo session!” the woman demanded.
“What’s wrong here?” Another man entered and joined the woman.
“This photographer insisted on continuing his photo shoot. Look at his models… I don’t think I’ve seen their faces somewhere? Do you know them?” the woman asked the man while staring at the Chronos squad.
“Newbies are actually complaining now?” the man laughed. His tone was full of mockery.
A few more people entered bringing larger props. And without asking permission, they actually put Emerson’s equipment sets on the corner.
“What are you even shooting? What kind of endorsement needs so much time to photo shoot from 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM? Isn’t photo shoots had a maximum limit of one hour for endorsement projects?” the man questioned once more.
“My talents are still new and require proper instructions. But, they are skilled. Don’t insult them,” Emerson glared at the man. He was focused on these two people and did not notice that his equipment sets and props were already placed on the corner of the room.
Sofia and her members who were waiting for Emerson did not have a choice but to also stood on the corner while the newcomers started to do their set up decorations.
“Did you know that this film is being sponsored by the Lee Family to promote local culture of our district? How dare you act stubbornly. Just leave this place and end your photo shoot,” the woman expressed.
“Excuse me, Emerson. Our materials were already removed,” Sofia calmly spoke.
“In my entire career, this is the first time I have meet people that are very unprofessional,” Emerson gritted his teeth.
“Hmph! Unprofessional? Why? Can you afford to offend the Lee Family?” the man gave them a challenging tone.
Sofia looked at the two villains for a moment. Then, she asked, “Which Lee Family member? Maybe I can afford.”
At the same time, Manager Lan arrived at the entrance door and heard Sofia. Her pupils constricted and quickly walked near them.
“I did not know that there will be film shooting. It’s my mistake not to inform my people. Producer Weng, please carry on. My people is done here,” Manager Lan interrupted.
“That’s not right. This newbie seemed confident that she can offend the Lee Family! Hehe, since you asked which Lee Family, then, let me tell you… it’s the current young master Brent!” the woman smirked, expecting for Sofia to back down.
“I am friends with Brent. I don’t think he will tolerate this attitude of unprofessionalism,” Sofia replied.
On the side, manager Lan had started sweating. In the entire district, all business owners would somehow give face to the Lee Family. But, Sofia was actually claiming that she was friend with the young master of the family!
“Hahaha… Sofia, let’s talk to my office,” manager Lan sternly called Sofia. Then, she signaled her to walk out of the door.
“Manager Lan, if you will just let your employees get humiliated because of unreasonable people, they will eventually lose respect and leave you. As an employer, you should think carefully,” Sofia muttered.. But, she still called her group and they walked away.
