Ceo’s Fierce Lady Immortal - Chapter 230
The bright rays of the sun began to light on the east. As the morning sunrise set to blanket the glistening crystal blue water of the ocean, the villagers already rose from their beds; ready to set for their own occupation.
However, this is only for the average household of the Island. The Qin Family had no need to rise up early for work but to cater to their morning meal.
At this time, the dining table for breakfast was too quiet. Only the clattering sound of utensils. Qin Fuorong and Qin Ting were too immersed in their meal and neither one didn’t bother to speak.
Qin Tao was eating behind Su Ci Yi and Qin Yu, the person who was always loquacious on the dinner table was silent. At this time around, if he’s not flattering her, he would put a dish on her plate and talk endlessly but at this moment, he’s like a stone statue. Not uttering any single words.
The simple light and healthy breakfast was finish immediately and afterward, everyone went to their own set of activities to be done on this day.
Qin Ting brought her to the veranda and talk about gardening, her lifestyle, and other varied topics that a typical woman would interest. Although Su Ci Yi hadn’t had any ounce of an inkling to the topics of the old lady, she still plastered her enthusiastic vibe to the woman.
Qin Ting is a talkative person. She would try to explain and enumerate Qin Yu’s childhood, up to his middle school, and even when he went to universities. She even confides to her, her worries, and thoughts that her son might not even get married in his entire life.
Turn out, Qin Yu was a little reserved on his teens and haven’t been with any flings. Of course, with his own usual demeanor, the unapproachable vibe he exudes; he wouldn’t have one.
Qin Ting’s long narration lasted for almost an hour. By the time they finished, the sun’s rays were already scorching.
Su Ci Yi decided to call Su Ming. Since it’s been days she didn’t have any communication with her.
Who knows what happened over there, right now?
Usually, Su Ming always took the initiative to call her and inform of the recent happening at the mainland. She would happily talk about her favorite lunch and newly bought limited edition of branded bags.
It was a little unusual that she didn’t call her this time.
Su Ci Yi immediately dialed Su Ming’s number but the call wasn’t connected on her line. With a crumpled forehead, Su Ci Yi dialed again but the result is still the same.
‘Did she get angry with her because she didn’t call her in a while?’
Makes sense. Su Ming has a child-like tendency that would sulk whenever she couldn’t get what she wanted or when she didn’t give what she wanted to her. Like a spoiled rotted kid but at times, too adorable.
Knowing the call won’t still connect, she used the house’s landline to connect to her. This time, she will surprised her with this new number. She was so sure that she will pick it up this time.
But still, Su Ming didn’t answer her call.
Anyway, she will go home for the next three days. She’ll just make amends to Su Ming and bring her a lot of souvenirs. The girl was a trinket collecter, and fond of minuscule design keychains.
After thinking that she could be coaxed with souvenirs, Su Ci Yi’s mood lifted and ready to go to Mai’s house.
As she was about to go out again, Qin Yu – the man that she was on standoff, was sitting on the couch. He leaned his back while his legs were crossed. His flawless face was so serious and his eyebrows were knitted. On his hand, he holds an updated newspaper. His majestic aura of someone that can’t be disturbed permeated the air.
Making Su Ci Yi, a little reluctant to talk to him.
Remembering their scene last night. And how the man seemed sulking, she would have trotted without batting an eye. However, just when her footstep went out of the door, she turned around and looked at him.
“I’m going out for a while.”
She didn’t know why she did it, but maybe subconsciously, she couldn’t stand to have a cold war with him.
The man only nodded and answered with a low, “hmm” sound.
Is this his confirmation?
Su Ci Yi didn’t dwell on the thought and got out of the house.

“Madam, your phone was vibrating just now. The call ended after three consecutive rings.”
Su Ming stopped her tract and took the phone from her current secretary. This time around, when she was in meetings and conferences, she let her secretary handle her phone temporarily. She didn’t just want to be distracted whenever she is with the executives of their company.
She slid the phone lock and sure enough, an unknown number plastered on the phone screen.
If they have a business to talk with her, they should have introduced their name first and not blatantly calling her immediately.
Su Ming had an inclination not to answer phone calls especially when it’s suspicious.
Right now, when they are on the critical phase of the business cycle and enormous prey were eyeing their company, she needed to protect it from those unscrupulous schemes.
She needed to be more extra careful. She was the only one who can handle this company.
Her father is sickly and unadvisable to still conduct the business. The pressures will only lead him to his death.
Her mother is not inclined to run a company.
If her sister didn’t leave them immediately, she would have been here to assist her but things got underhanded. After her sister’s engagement been canceled last year. She lost her sanity, and with that, a few months ago died in complication at the hospital. The tragic event was abrupt that it stunned most of them. Her mother grieved to the extend she couldn’t eat for a whole month and her father’s sickness deteriorated even more.
Su Ming had tried to become strong. Although she was a little sad that she died but she wasn’t that close to her.
It was her parent that grieved for her sudden death to the point of being lifeless.
The creme of the crop of the family died leaving the responsibility to the black sheep. Would she feel happy about that?
She creased her temple. A sudden burst of burgeoning headache flowed into her head.
Her assistant who was standing at the front immediately went to get her medicine.
It’s been like these past days.
The company president would suddenly be attacked by a tremendous headache that she would shiver and sweat cold.
“Madam, please take your medicine now.”
Su Ming heard this and immedieltwent took and swallow the pill. Then she pulled a mineral bottle from her bag and drank it.
Her secretary, seeing her dark aura couldn’t help but think of an idea to uplift her mood. And she thought of something. The company president is known for being a sis-con. It was known by all employees and staffs inside the company.
Right now, her sister is on a long vacation. So, she ought to weave a sentence that would mention her name. She was confident and excited, actually, she too adores the eldest sister of the madam. She had been the one protecting the company from the dark hooligans and dominant thugs; who wouldn’t like her?
“Madam, is the first madam hadn’t still come back? Is she really having a good time in her husband’s place? Its been almost a week. Could I ask for a souvenir after she went home?”
The secretary was smiling. The relationship between Su Ci Yi and the staffs were like friends that they could approach her anytime without reserved.
But right at this moment, Su Ming looked at her with cold eyes that she couldn’t help but shrink behind.
“Why mention the dead? Do you have amnesia? My sister died a few months ago.”
What?
“Madam? Are you all right? The first madam is well alive and we saw her just last month…”
Bang!
Su Ming stood up and slapped the wooden desk using her right hand.
“How could you mention the dead? You are making me mad right now!”
Su Ming’s voice was too loud that a person in sophisticated attire and bearing of a queenly aura arrived. Her face plastered ungenuine care. “What happened?”
“The madam…the madam is muttering that the first madam died…is she all right?”
Upon hearing this, Su Ming glared at her secretary. Eyes that made her blood cold.
The person who just came, looked at the secretary, then to Su Ming who was angry at the moment. She tried to appease Su Ming’s anger.
” Secretary Kim…” Her voice was deep and loud. “…Secretary Kim, I heard you just came back from the hospital. Didn’t you say you bump your head on your tiled bathroom? This person’s elder sister died a while ago. Don’t mix something from the past, this is totally ridiculous!”
The poor secretary shivered and stepped back. She was cornered and trapped in the wall.
“No, what are you talking about…” They are wrong! The first madam is not dead yet.
Su Ming sigh. No wonder this secretary is speaking some strange things. Turn out she might damage her brain from the fall. She glanced at the person who just came and spoke,
“Baronette, file her a temporary leave. Also, find another person for the position immediately.”
Baronette’s lips perked up. Her eyes glint in an enigmatic light; hiding her maliciousness behind the curtains of the so-called camaraderie facade.
