Cheating Marriage - C212
There were two security guards standing at the entrance of the clubhouse. They probably left from the army, so it was obvious that they were experts.
“I’m here to participate in the Cheng Family’s banquet.” I try to make my voice soft. Isn’t that the voice men like best? I should have taken advantage of these advantages, but I was too stupid.
“Ahh …” The security guard said as if he had just awoken from a dream, “The banquet has already begun, where’s your invitation letter?”
I knew I had no invitation, but so what? I always had a way to get in.
Very naturally, I reached into my bag with my hands. It was actually empty, apart from the black card that Cheng Ruojun had given me.
My expression was calm, and then I started to panic. The security guard looked at me, and his expression changed.
I picked up my bag and said, “Sorry, but my invitation is missing.”
I turned to the driver. “Did you see my invitation in the car?”
The driver shook his head.
“Sorry, we can’t let you in without an invitation.” His tone was still polite, but skeptical. I guess he was wondering if I was the kind of liar who wanted to sneak in, or if I really didn’t have the invitation.
“I was really invited.” “If I hadn’t been invited, why would I wear clothes? I think you know how expensive my clothes and shoes are.”
The security guard glanced at me and he said, “It could have been rented.” His tone began to sound bad.
When I heard him say this, I stopped smiling and said, “Please don’t insult me.”
He looked at me and said, “I’m sorry.” I knew he didn’t want to mess with me because he wasn’t sure if I was powerful or not.
“This is a black card.” I said, “It’s mine. I can go in with this.”
“This…” He began to hesitate, as if wondering if I really had lost the card.
I looked at him and said, “If you let me in, these are yours.” I took out two wads of money from my purse. I knew, of course, that those who could work here would earn a lot of money, but who would refuse a little extra money that could easily be earned?
Sure enough, the security guard’s eyes lit up when he saw the money in my hands, but he was still hesitating, obviously wondering what would happen to him if he let me in and something happened to him.
I don’t think he would bear any consequences. After all, I’m Cheng Ruojun’s wife, and if he didn’t specifically stop me from entering, how would the security guards stop me? After all, there’s a banquet held at Cheng Ruojun’s home.
Although I was recently in a mess due to the video and there were even people on the internet saying that they wanted Cheng Ruojun to divorce me, thinking that a talented young man like Cheng Ruojun shouldn’t have married me, but everyone in the company knows that Cheng Ruojun dotes on his wife in the past. The people who leaked the news on the internet obviously didn’t ignore this point, so they left me behind.
I took out another stack of bills and waved it in front of the security guard before collecting all the bills. I pretended to be angry as I said, “Forget it, you really are a dutiful security guard. Now, I can only call my husband to come pick me up.”
I felt there was nothing wrong with what I said, but my tone was subtle.
“You are …” the guard asked, his face already troubled.
“I am Cheng Ruojun’s wife.” As I spoke, I took out my cell phone from my bag. It looked like I was about to dial.
The security guard turned pale with fright. He hurriedly said, “Please don’t make any calls, I’ll let you in right now.”
I smiled at him and said, “Alright.”
It seems that the Cheng family did not specifically stop me from entering, I think they would not have thought that I would come here without a word. After all, in the past, I hated this kind of scene because I was out of place with them, and they also hated seeing me. My background is too poor, and the people at the banquet are worried that talking to me would be influenced by my vulgarity.
I smiled at the thought. I gracefully handed the note to the security guard and also gave it to the driver. “Wait for me to come out,” I said.
The driver and security guard nodded at the same time.
I carried my skirt into the clubhouse and stepped on a stone path. I looked up at the lamp by the side of the road, which was very pretty in the shape of a flower branch.
I still didn’t see the moon or the stars. The night sky was still covered with dark clouds, almost without wind, the air was sticky, and my skin felt a little uncomfortable.
“It’s really bad weather today.” I said softly.
As I walked further in, there was almost no one on the road. The banquet had already begun, and the guide had probably gone to help out in the banquet hall.
I walked slowly inside, paying attention to my dress and hairstyle. I was a little worried that my makeup would be spent.
I finally reached the house where they were holding the party. It was a huge villa that looked like a castle from a distance.
The lights were on there, and I could hear the band coming from there, and the voices of men and women talking and laughing.
I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and walked slowly in that direction.
I’m not going to play like this because it’s not gorgeous enough.
I walked slowly around the crowded area and back. I wanted to go up on the platform.
“Hello, this is the employee passageway. The guests are all at the front.” Just as I was about to reach the dais, a waiter stopped me and looked at me suspiciously, as if I were up to no good.
Ah, I knew what he was thinking. He must have thought I was the kind of woman who’d hang around the party trying to find a golden turtledove.
He was right.
But I have found a golden son.
I looked at the waiter with a reserved smile and said, “I’m sorry I’m late, so I’m going up to surprise my husband.”
The waiter still looked at me strangely.
“Do I need to call my husband to prove it?” I pointed to a place not far away from the lights. “My husband is over there.”
Actually, when I came over, I did not see Cheng Ruojun, nor did I see him. I think they were talking to some important people in a secret place.
The waiter looked at me, and I met his gaze without fear.
