Child Of The Crimson Sun - Volume 6
Xanwu dismissed the messengers with an order, the one Luo had advised. After that, she went to the very top of the palace. Xanwu positioned herself as she arrived at the highest point of the structure. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Then, she abducted her palms up sixty degrees away from her body. She did not mumble a spell, but her hair rose. She then finally opens her eyes, and they glowed brightly. Soon after, her body is engulfed by crimson flames, and she floats mid-air.
The soldiers near the burning walls were startled after seeing the flames thicken and take more landmass. People moved further away from the walls, fearing that they might catch fire.
Xanwu’s body emits a radiant crimson light that spread throughout the land. Everyone the light touched that time was made immune from the cursed disease.
Once she was done, the fire that engulfed her body vanished and, so did the light. Xanwu slowly descended and soon had her feet touching the ground. But then, her body betrayed her; she dropped to the ground. When she fell and hit the ground, she groaned in pain. No one was present to catch her from falling. She can feel herself trembling and could barely move a muscle. Xanwu lied on the highest point of the palace.

Ryu was watching over the cemetery closely after hearing the news. As he stood there, frosty winds blew to his direction. Ryu kept his ground, unfazed by the cold temperature. The wind seemed to have a mind on its own and continued blowing ragingly on the knight. Ryu felt the wind grew sharper and even more powerful. He then realized that what was blowing on him was the northern wind.
“Wudong,” uttered Ryu.
The wind went still and blew strong, swirling around Ryu.
“Are you trying to tell me something?”
The wind stopped swirling then blows towards the palace’s direction. Ryu followed the breeze. He tirelessly followed the wind as it went to different places. Finally, once they’re inside the halls, the wind went up, signalling Ryu to go up the castle.
As he went higher in the palace, the more anxious he got. Ryu is uncertain of what the wind wants him to do, but he knows he won’t like it. He kept running the stairs until he reached the very top. The wind kept leading Ryu on the grounds until he finally caught sight of the demigoddess laying unconscious on the floor. Ryu’s heart skipped a beat as he looked at Xanwu. The knight did not idle any longer and went to check if Xanwu is breathing. Luckily, the woman is alive but unconscious. Ryu carried the woman in his arms and brought her inside the palace, down to her chambers.

Xanwu is walking through a violent storm in the fields with grass reaching up to her abdomen. The clouds were dark and grey as if they were about to fall on the ground. The rain downpour was big and harsh, like pebbles raining down from the sky. The winds are blowing hard as if it had the power to carry Xanwu away. The rainstorm was accompanied by arbitrary thunders hitting the ground. The atmosphere was noisy with the upset weather, then m.o.a.ns and cries filled up the atmosphere. Despite all these, Xanwu kept fighting her way out of this storm. As she kept walking, there was a small hill, and the demigoddess climbed up. As she reaches the tip, Xanwu looked down and found mountains of corpses piling up. She was way too fixated on the bad weather to notice that she’s walking on dead bodies.
