Childcare Diaries - Chapter 77
Chapter 77
Jaz was being chased.
The nanny at the County was said to have woken up, but apparently, she knew it was something he was involved in.
In the meantime, with the money given to him by the client, he comfortably walked around the outskirts of the hotel, avoiding the eyes of the guards, though now, that seemed to have become more distant.
He went to a regular bar he frequented, said he didn’t report them, and was being loyal. However, they threw him away.
‘How dare you treat me like this?’
Instead of reflecting until the end, he resented the world that treated him like this.
He sent letters to the nobles he was close with, asking them to entrust himself, although they were all turned down. Even though He spent money like that for them, it was this kind of treatment that came back.
‘…The client, yes, I’m going to the client.’
In the end, the only place for him to lean on was the client who contacted him every time. Though he couldn’t get in touch with the client unless it was time for correspondence, and he had to wait and he didn’t even know where the client lived.
Jaz bought alcohol from the shop and hid under a bridge in a slum.
Life was not easy for him here. There was a considerable amount of territoriality and violence from those who were already there.
If they had known that he was a nobleman that was being chased, it would have been more difficult to be there. Still, those who were desperate to make a living had no way of knowing. So, with the prestige of nobility, he barely occupied a space under the bridge.

“Master.”
“What’s going on?”
Taylor came to find Kentrail in his office.
“Neighborhood children have reported it.”
“Neighborhood children…?”
“Yes. They are the children of the place we go to volunteer every time, and on the way to find Jaz, they asked who we were looking for, so when we told them, they said they had seen it.”
When the children, who had a favor for the knights who helped them every time the knights appeared and were working, they wanted to help somehow.
“What? Is he there somewhere?”
“Under the Ched River Bridge.”
“Take the knights and go catch Jaz. Can you recognize him?”
He asked Taylor, who had never actually seen Jaz.
“Yes. Of course.”
Believing in his confident subordinate, he decided to wait in the mansion.
And so, Taylor quickly went out. Looking at that figure, Kentrail was filled with anticipation as to whether this time he would be able to get closer to the real culprit.
“Count, can I come in?”
And then, the voice he wanted to hear the most was heard.
“Come in.”
At his words, Marie opened the door and poked her head inside.
“Aren’t you busy?”
“I always have time to give.”
At his pleasant words, she came in with a bashful smile.
“You know what?”
“What?”
“The Count, sometimes you talk really nicely.”
He gazed at her because it was the first time he had ever heard her say such a thing.
“I do…?”
“Yes.”
Even though he had always been criticized for uttering only hard and cold words, he asked Marie again as if he was really curious about her, who said he spoke nicely.
“Of course.”
It seemed that Kentrail himself loved Marie a lot. Seeing how she could casually say strange words enough to make him feel that way.
“But, what were you doing?”
“Taylor came and went. He must have known where Jaz was.”
“Really? I hope he’ll get caught this time.”
“I know…”
Answering her, he took Marie’s hand as he sat on the sofa.
“What are you doing?”
Then, he put his lips to her hand.
“Energy charge.”
“Tsk. Look, how nicely you talk.”
“I know.”
The corners of his lips curled up as he thought that was funny, too.
“But, don’t move alone yet.”
“Such overprotection only annoys me more.”
“All right.”
She had just persuaded Kentrail to allow her to start wandering alone. When she said to this man, who was the only objection, that locking her up in her room like this made her feel tormented, he soon allowed her to move around.
“Brielle and Ellie look busy.”
She was saying that because she didn’t see the children chasing after her.
“I know.”
Still, she seemed to have neglected the children because of her getting wounded, so she was about to visit them.
“Has Derek still not contacted you?”
Marie, who knew Derek had gone to the North, asked.
“That’s right. It’s past the arrival time, and there’s no correspondence yet. Still, he’ll be fine, so don’t worry.”
“Yes.”
Marie knew how strong he was.
“I’m going to go see the kids. I’ll have to check why it’s so quiet, so I’ll be relieved.”
Sad to part with her, though Kentrail had let her go, as he still has a lot of work to do.

“Ellie, doesn’t it seem like you haven’t seen Marie in a long time?”
Brielle asked Ellie, who was lying with him and looking at the book.
“We can’t help it because sister is sick.”
“But, uncle and her went for a walk.”
“When you grow up a little bit, you’ll understand why I’m holding you back like this.”
“Sheesh.”
He was pissed off at Ellie for treating him like a child, so Brielle rolled over on his side. Seeing that, Ellie’s cheeks fluttered as she watched it. Then, she sneakily approached his back and began to tickle him.
“Ahaha, stop it. It tickles.”
“Are you going to lie down? Are you not going to lie down?”
“Haha. Surrender! Surrender.”

It was only after Brielle turned her around to Ellie that he was freed from the tickling.
“Huh? Marie?”
The little boy ran to the nanny who was watching them after opening the door.
“Young master.”
Marie gave Brielle a hug once. The sound of laughter from the hallway calmed her mind, showing the two of them were getting along well.
“Sister.”
And, Ellie also got up from her seat and came over.
“What were you doing?”
Entering the room, she asked the two children.
“I was reading a book. Marie, I can read a book like this now.”
The book that Brielle had been reading before had now been changed to a book that was slightly for older children.
“It seems that you have been studying hard from the Count?”
“Yes.”
Saying so, she patted Brielle’s hair to show her pride. Looking around them, there were things the two children had made for play and leftover snacks.
“Are you too big to climb the treehouse now?”
Marie asked because she was concerned about the children who were still confined to their room.
“Our feet were sticking out.”
Brielle shrugged his shoulders and replied. He wanted to be as big as his uncle as soon as possible. Besides, children grow up quickly. It was a pity that the children had grown up like this while she was lying in bed after being injured.
“Sister, by the way, how about the Count?”
“Huh? Why? He was working?”
Ellie was looking for him for one reason. It was because she was curious that the man who was always next to her sister did not appear.
“Nothing.”
The child gazed at her with a skeptical smile.
‘…Does Ellie really know between me and the Count?
Marie thought as she wondered if it would be good to be honest with Ellie.
‘The Young Master will be okay, right…?’
Thinking that, she was sweating in a cold sweat.

Derek arrived in the North. He had been there several times before, but it was still a cold and barren area.
The tall conifers added to the atmosphere. Between the wariness of strangers and the curious gaze, Derek went straight to the post office where the letter was sent.
“Is this letter from here?”
The post office worker, nervous at his appearance, nodded. For some reason, the worker thought he was a dangerous man, so he wanted to get him out of there quickly.
“Do you know this sender?”
“Yes… She comes here every now and then, so I remember her face.”
Derek then showed him the portrait he had taken from his arms.
“Is this right?”
He wouldn’t have told him originally, though the worker, overwhelmed by his gaze, was nodding his head unknowingly.
Derek saw this and tried to send a letter to his master saying that he had arrived.
However, he turned around and came out thinking that he would send it if there were more results. All he could do right now was just run around and ask if they had ever seen this person. Because of that, learning that he was looking for her, he was afraid that Brielle’s aunt might run away.
Rather than wandering around haphazardly, he seemed to have to stay in a specific place and break the boundaries of the people here.

Barry received a letter from Siege. It was said that he arrived well and that he had organized the estate well. The main content was that he asked about Jaz to the Count. Finally, he asked if everyone in the mansion was doing well.
After receiving the letter, Barry went straight to Kentrail.
Before he knocked, he paused.
‘As expected, the two were dating.’
It was because he remembered his sister and the count’s appearance he had seen in the garden not long ago. Fallen noble… the huge wall might have stood in the way of the two of them.
‘It would be a little better if I get a knighthood as soon as possible.’
Though for the time being, it seemed difficult for him to go to the academy.
As he was exhaling, Barry heard a voice telling him to come in. He felt his presence from the inside. Opening the door and entering, the Count glanced at him.
“It was Barry.”
“Yes, Siege sent me a letter.”
“I see. Please, take a seat.”
“Yes.”
Seeing him sitting down, Kentrail hurriedly began to organize the papers he was looking at.
Barry looked back at him and turned his head to look into his office. It didn’t seem much different from when he came here as a child.
‘Huh…?’
He then found a doll made of wool that didn’t suit this place. It seemed to be his sister’s work.
It turned out, not nothing had changed. There was a slight change. A light purple cushion was placed in a place that had been covered in dark wood tones, and a cup that did not go well with this place was turned upside down.
He felt as if he had glimpsed the relationship between the Count and his sister.
“A letter from Siege?”
Kentrail came to where Barry was sitting as he had all the paperwork done.
“Yes, here you go.”
He began to read what Barry was sticking out and spoke, “Fortunately, he doesn’t think he’s ever going to go back to that estate. Taylor just went to get Jaz.”
That seemed to be the reason why the knights were busy in the morning.
“Really?”
“If he gets caught, Siege will be more at ease.”
At his words, Barry nodded his head.
“Will I be able to return to the academy when the time comes?”
At his question, Kentrail thought for a moment and then asked.
“I feel like you’re in a rush all of a sudden?”
“Yes, I want to be appointed as a knight quickly.”
“May I ask why?”
“I think that way, no matter what sister does, I will be able to support her more steadily.”
At the same time, he stared into Kentrail’s eyes and spoke strongly with his eyes. Would he be able to take responsibility for his sister until the end…?
“You seem to know between us.”
“Who wouldn’t know?”
“It seems only Brielle doesn’t know.”
Kentrail replied with a smile.
“Because the Young Master doesn’t know much about that yet.”
“If it’s your sister, don’t worry. I’m really serious… To the point of giving my life.”
Barry could easily believe what he was saying, as he had heard how he had returned to the Capital for her.
