Chronicles Of Arth: Prince Of Shadows - Chapter 253
“Ah yes! Cedric Diggory has just barely escaped the weird fire scorpions. A close call indeed!”
“Fleur Delacour has give us an excellent example of the illusion charm in order to escape the giant spiders!”
“An excellent display from Victor Krum as he brute forces his way through the hedges!”
Ludo Bagman gave an excited giggle at the large floating screen which gave them real time feedback on what was happening in the maze.
“And where is our fourth and last champion? What kind of suprising manner of completing the tasks will he show us this time?”
After switching the channels for a bit, they finally found Arth within the maze.
“As expected! Our last contestant Arthur Kingscrown is still in the game! Showing us an excellent… an excellent form of…. Merlin’s beard! Is he riding one of those explosion scorpions?”
*****
Arth yawned. “Reducto.”
The maze was honestly pretty boring. There was no real challenge except wasting his energy to get to the middle. He has met a sphinx somewhere along the way but the riddle was fairly easy to solve. Of course, Arth had a nice patting session with the Sphinx after solving her riddle, which was also the reason why he got so sidetracked. Arth didn’t even mind losing the tournament. The sphinx’s fur was just that soft.
It was a shame that the Sphinx eventually got so embarrassed that she flew off into the sky while screaming, “T-THIS CANT BE! I’M MONSTER AND YOU ARE HUMAN! IT WILL NEVER WORK!”
What a weird thing to say….
“Point me.”
Arth’s wand jerked to the left a little bit and Arth gave the blast ended Skrewt a rub on the shell. “Turn a little bit to the left pls. Thank you.”
And once again, Arth had a smooth sailing towards the Triwizard cup.
Eventually, he reached the center of the maze and saw the cup in a distance away. With the superior speed of the blast ended Skrewt. Arth made his way to the front of the cup and shrugged.
“Well, that was anti climatic. I bet the readers are disappointed. Well, I better take the cup and finish this tournament. It’s not like I’m gonna be randomly teleported to a graveyard or something.”
Arth grabbed the Triwizard cup and frowned as he started to swirl around at a high speed.
