Codename:phoenix - Chapter 169 The Hideouts Rules
Wang Yuvin now faced a dilemma. He was now torn between accepting the offer for the sake of making sure that his identity would not be compromised or reject the offer and bear the consequences. Yes he must admit, he was attracted to Kiang Leilei but he was not sure if the attraction was strong enough to pass for marriage. Shifting his gaze from Kiang Leilei’s beautiful face to the astonished people in front of them, Wang Yuvin was forced to make a quick decision that may or may not be good for his future. Sighing out loud, he gently and carefully moved Kiang Leilei behind him, as if protecting her from all the wild beasts that were looking at them with foul intentions.
“I appreciate the help, Miss Kiang. I really do. But I did not do anything wrong. If I signed the papers it could still be used against me. Especially the timing of signing, it is very off. It happened after the accusation of power abuse.” Wang Yuvin calmly explained his decision to Kiang Leilei who now looked embarrassed as her grip on the pen and paper tightened. This guy did not just tell her she was not pretty, he even rejected her help!
“And, I don’t need you to protect me nor I am asking for you to repay me with your freedom. I think a dinner tonight and your number can suffice.” Wang Yuvin said as he turned around and whispered to Kiang Leilei’s ear.
Upon hearing the guy’s words, Kiang Leilei’s heart began to flutter. Indeed, only this guy can make her blood boil and make her heart happy, all at the same time!
“Mr. Manager, please bring Miss Kiang to my private room. Attend to her every need and make sure she is well taken care of. Well, only if Miss Kiang agreed to it.” Wang Yuvin then shifted his gaze from the manager who looked like he was watching some drama series to Kiang Leilei who seemed to be on cloud nine.
“I-I, yes. I agree. I shall wait for you in your room then.” Kiang Leilei said as her lips displayed her sweetest smile and happily marched her way out of her father’s private room.
“Leilei! Get back here! You are not yet done here! And why the hell are you taking those documents with you?! Leave them here!” Council Yun’s voice was like loud booming thunder, but no matter how loud and frightening he might be, he was no longer a threat to his daughter especially now that Wang Yuvin made known to everyone that she was his guest.
“Sorry, father! That’s never gonna happen!” Kiang Leilei snarled at Council Yun before she completely walked out of the room.
“Leilei! Come back, here! What are you idiots looking at? Run after her!” Council Yun screamed at the top of his lungs creating an atmosphere of terror and panic among his subordinates who had started to mobilize and go after Kiang Leilei. However before the bodyguards can follow pursuit, the security of the Hideout blocked them.
“Nobody is allowed to leave the room unless I say so. We will settle everything inside this room, once and for all.” Wang Yuvin said in a highly authoritative voice.
