Cold Hearted Devil Fell In Love - Chapter 130
Noah wouldn’t let the taunt affect him he snickered. He would win this game, he always did so he stood calmly as the surrounding men were taken a back slightly. They hadn’t met anyone that they couldn’t intimidate until now.
“You don’t know who you’re playing fire with, Anna,” he said before turning to Paul. “Your stupidity baffles me. You allowed a woman of her calibre to take charge of the organization?’ Noah couldn’t grasp the concept of these men coming to her defence and letting her lead them when she had not a thought in her small brain.
“Noah, watch your mouth!” Paul announced as he watched the scene unfold.
“Did you investigate David’s death properly?” Noah interrupted.
He glanced at Anna and then Paul once again. One had a worried look while the other, confused.
“David? He died of a stroke–,” Paul questioned.
“How sure are you?” Noah interrupted again. “Did it not occur to you to do a post mortem?”
This time, Paul remained quiet as he glanced at Anna.
“As for David’s son Daniel” Noah grinned.
“David was out late at night and he shouldn’t have been drink driving… it was an accident!” Paul shouted in his boss’s defence.
“This is where you’re wrong,” Noah announced. He took a quick glance at Anna, who had gone slightly pale from his remarks and he smiled in return, he enjoyed her suffering.
“Let me point out the obvious since you’re obviously not thinking straight. She poisoned your boss and killed the son to gain control of the organization.” Noah answered coldly.
There was a pin drop silence after Noah’s remark. Paul stood in shock, his jaw dropped at the announcement. The other men that stood behind him couldn’t believe what they had heard.
“Liar! Do not believe him, he is just trying to get out of here alive as he knows you are more powerful” Anna shouted. She struggled against Thomas’s grip but it was no use. “You’re looking for revenge after what I did to that stupid woman!”
Noah stood waiting for Paul to make his move first but he didn’t, sighing Noah walked towards Anna, shoving his gun barrel just beneath her chin. “You think you are smarter than me? Your plans are falling apart piece by piece and that fake mask of yours is about to completely fall off. By the time this is over, you’ll wish you never crossed path with me.”
“What do you mean? What are you planning?” Anna struggled in Thomas’s grasp again wanting to run but it was of no use.
Noah then looked to his secretary and nodded. Aiden responded by taking out his phone and before he put it away the exit warehouse door opened with a loud creak.
Paul and the other guards couldn’t believe their eyes as David’s son Daniel walked in with help from one of Noah’s guards. He looked to be injured and severely beaten but other than that he was alive. They were all in shock as they unanimously shouted, “Boss!”
Seeing the next stage of the plan come to light Thomas then gave her a slight push on purpose so she’d stumble and fall on the ground.
Anna stumbled and she had forgotton the pain in her thigh as she saw Daniel stand in front of her, she had ordered her men to kill him. They had even buried him. How could he still be alive? Her world was crashing around her and she left like she was losing control.
Paul scowled and approached the swaying Anna “You killed my boss and tried to kill the young master!”
Noah stepped aside, allowing Paul to drag Anna towards him. Roughly, he pushed her to his men who secured her easily. He then slapped her a few times, it was hard enough for her lips to crack and draw blood. Her hair and makeup were already in a complete mess and so was her elegant dress.
“I turned a blind eye to your stupidity and sleeping around after the boss’s death thinking that you were grieving. I believed you when you said it was for the best of the organization but you turned us into a laughing stock!” Paul then slapped her again. “Your betrayal will not be taken lightly. Take her away!”
“Wait.” Noah said calmly.
Paul’s men halted at Noah’s orders.
“Help me, Noah please… for old times’ sake… didn’t you love me once?” Anna pleaded. Now, there was genuine fear in her eyes.
“This woman is our boss’s assassin and she will be dealt with according to our rules.” Announced Paul.
“No—please. Noah, we were once lovers—please help me!” Anna pleaded, her eyes streamed with tears, he was her only hope now.
“I am not interested in having her back,” he told Paul “You can have your fun after I’m done.”
Paul looked to Daniel and he nodded, signalling them to let Anna go.
Anna wasted no time. She flung herself on Noah, an act he found revolting. In a flash, he caught her neck, held her a distance away. “You’re sadly mistaken if you think I’m taking you with me.” He gave a backward glance.
“Aiden.”
The secretary produced an injection needle. He uncapped it, passed it to Noah.
“Do you know what this is?” Noah asked as he took the needle. “The same substance you used on Ivy.”
“What – what do you plan on doing? No!” Anna begged and tried to scratch Noah’s hands as they gripped her neck.
“It is just a taste of what you served to Ivy, let’s see if you can survive. But if you do you will only allow Daniel and Paul to have their fun. I do hope you survive.” Noah smirked and Anna’s eyes widened in panic.
With that last sentence, Noah jabbed the needle into Anna, injecting the chemical concoction he specially made for her. He then released her.
“You love that lowly woman so much that you would go through this much of trouble for her?” Anna asked in disbelief as she placed her hand on her neck.
Noah ignored the question and turned to Daniel. “She’s all yours.”
