Cold Hearted Devil Fell In Love - Chapter 142
Laurens continuous hysterical laughter halted when she noticed a set of expensive black leather approaching her. She glanced up hoping to see Noah her love her saviour but she frowned on seeing his be-speckled secretary looking down on her. She rolled her eyes and huffed behind the tape on her mouth. She looked past him to Noah.
The metallic smell of blood and what she had witnessed did not bother her, Cole had been a foot up the ladder and a bed warmer but she certainly didn’t have any feelings for him. Cole’s lifeless body was nothing more than an eyesore for her. Her goal now was gaining Noah’s attention.
Aiden pushed his glasses further up his nose as he looked down on the delusional woman in front of him, he coughed to get her attention as she had started to stare at his boss and knowing Noah’s mood she would lose her sight if she continued. It didn’t stop her though as she continued to stare, Aiden noticed her start to move towards Noah. Aiden quickly put his foot out ceasing her from moving. She screamed out, mostly for attention as Aiden had only slightly touched her.
Aiden had had enough and gripped her by the shoulders forcing her to stand in front of him. She was small and Aiden’s height blocked Noah from her sight. Aiden then gripped her shoulders and started to march her out of Ivy’s house. Lauren of course tried to protest but Aiden held her firmly, pushing her forwards.
Noah walked behind stopping only to pick up his suit jacket placing it and his jacket over his shoulders before walking out into the harsh wind and rain.
The night sky was turbulent and the wind and rain continued their harsh attack. Cold rain and wind wiped against Noah’s face as he walked to his car and got in the back passenger seat as he waited for Aiden.
Seeing Noah get into a car Laurens heart leapt for joy and stopped struggling she rushed towards the car.
Aiden couldn’t help but sigh in his heart as this woman’s delusions of grandeur had no limits, did she really think Noah would allow her in his car. The seat beside Noah had only ever been occupied by Ivy. No other woman had ever sat by his boss’s side in all the years he had known him, showing Thomas and Aiden Ivy’s place in Noah’s life.
Just behind Aiden and Lauren walked Teo and Thomas the scene in front of them left them at a loss for words. Would Lauren be next to lose her arm?
Lauren was delighted at the thought of going with Noah as she reached the car door she didn’t let her bound hands stop her from trying to get inside. But before she could touch the car she was harshly spun around and pushed towards the just behind Noah, she gave out in protest but the tape on her mouth held back her words and the muffled shouts fell on deaf ears.
Aiden reached Thomas’s car and Teo had rushed up behind him to open the back passenger door for him but Aiden didn’t stop walking leaving Teo standing holding the door open and scratching his head in confusion.
Aiden continued to march Lauren towards the back of the car she struggled but it was a futile attempt against Aiden’s strength.
As Lauren was pushed further and further away from Noah she tried to escape and rush back to him. Seeing that she was being pushed towards the back of the car she panicked where were they taking her?
Aiden spun her body around and held her with one hand and opened the car boot with his other hand.
Seeing the open boot Lauren tried with all her left over strength to run, she kicked out and swung her body but couldn’t free herself from the be-speckled man that held her.
In one swift movement, Aiden picked Lauren up like a baby chick and unceremoniously dumped her in the boot before slamming it closed. He then fixed his glasses and smoothed out his suit before walking back to his car to take Noah back to the penthouse.
Thomas chuckled and walked to the driver side and called out to Teo, “Do you really think the boss would allow Lauren in the back seat of Ivy’s car? The car will already have to be serviced from her being in the boot.” Thomas then got into the driver side and turned on the engine.
Teo closed the door and got in the front passenger seat beside Thomas, “I didn’t think. Where are we taking her?”
Thomas smiled and started to drive, “Somewhere where she will have some fun and make some friends!”
Teo was confused but brushed it off as he would find out soon enough.
They waited till Noah’s car drove away before they two drove out of Ivy’s driveway. Noah’s car turned right and they turned left. The drive was long and the storm hadn’t let up throughout the entire journey, the rain hit the window leaving it hard to see the road in front of them.
They journeyed further into what Teo would describe as the middle of nowhere, all he could see was the thick forest surrounding them, and the trees flanked either side of their car. The tree line broke and Thomas drove down a long tarmac lane. The tarmac was obscure in the middle of the wooded area.
Teo looked at Thomas questioning him but Thomas just indicated that he should look up. There was a high wall with barbed wire on top of it, he then noticed a gate.
Thomas stopped at the gate and spoke with a man dressed in a blue security uniform, the gates then opened and they continued to drive forward. Just in front was a large white house and the just at the door read. ‘Tullymore Asylum.’
Thomas parked up and got out of the car, Teo followed his actions and got out too. Thomas walked to the back of the car and smiled at Teo.
