Cold Hearted Devil Fell In Love - Chapter 150
Teo stepped to the side as he saw Ivy smiling at the man that approached them. He felt uneasy and decided to keep a close eye on the man.
The man who walked towards Ivy had sleek silver hair with piercing blue eyes. He was tall and dressed in a red suit with a silver dress shirt. Teo could tell the man had influence and money. He reminded him of a younger version of Noah. Would Noah mind this man around Ivy he wasn’t sure? He stood close to Ivy just in case.
Ivy smiled at her old school friend Kai Parker, she hadn’t seen him for many years but she would always recognise his silver hair and blue eyes. He was unique and had always stood out. He carried a more dignified air now that he had grown up but his smile gave her comfort that he hadn’t changed.
Kids often see uniqueness as strange and not beautiful. She stayed by his side and gave him confidence by calling him handsome while others called him ugly. In school, they were the misfits that stayed in the computer class after school to learn hacking and different computer techniques. They were there for one another and got through their school days by sticking together.
“Ivy.” Kai beamed at Ivy. He had always wondered what had happened to her since they lost contact. He had heard she was engaged to Cole and he was beyond upset but then when he heard that they had broken up he was elated. But he still couldn’t find her.
“Hey Kai.” Ivy smiled back at Kai and reached out for a friendly hug but one of his guards stepped forward.
With the guard coming at Ivy Teo and The Vixens doormen had stepped up to protect their lady boss.
“Woah, wait! Easy guys, it’s just a hug.” Ivy replied, she didn’t want a fight to break out in front of Noah’s club.
“Back up guys.” Kai raised his voice and stared at his own men. They backed down immediately, he then smiled and turned to ask Ivy, “Shall we go inside so we can catch up properly?”
“Sure.” Ivy agreed and Kai put his hand on her back as he guided her inside.
Teo glanced at his hand placement, it was the middle of her back. He followed closely as they walked towards the VIP booth. It was already set up for Ivy with her favourite Bushmills whiskey and Teo had the area completely isolated. Ivy could freely drink and dance here if she wanted to and no one would be able to bump into her.
Kai showed Ivy to the sofa and allowed her to sit before he opened his suit jacket button and sat down beside her, he was genuinely happy to see her again. He believed he wouldn’t be who he was today without her. He was quiet in school and so was she, but she had a fire inside of her when she was provoked.
When others called him horrid names she called him sweetly. When others would push or punch him she would clean up his wounds and sit with him in the computer room and learn. It took his mind off the bullying and kept him positive.
He wanted to make it up to her, whatever she needed now he could give her. He had money, power and the capability to protect her now. He wanted to shield her as she had once.
Kai glanced at Ivy as she poured them both a drink. She was even more beautiful now than he remembered, his heart sped up.
Ivy handed Kai a glass of whiskey and held her glass up to cheers him, “Slainte.”
Kai smiled, “To old friends reconnecting.” he added then drank the whiskey.
Now that they were both seated Teo took out his phone and messaged Thomas.
(Ivy is drinking with a man) Teo texted.
(The boss said to give Ivy privacy when she is out with friends) Thomas sighed and replied.
Teo snapped a picture as a reply.
Thomas opened up the picture message and recognised Kai Parker. he knew Kai Parker, he never entertained women. there were rumours he was gay while others said he loved someone but it was unrequited so he refused to date. Noah had business deals with Kai, Kai was intelligent and on nearly equal footing to Noah in the City.
Thomas stood and turned off his laptop, he replied quickly and headed to The Vixen.
Seeing Thomas’s reply Teo felt assured as he was on his way. Teo didn’t doubt Ivy and her love for Noah but he wasn’t sure what he could do if Kai were to do something. He could protect Ivy but what if she wanted to cheat, what should he do. He panicked and hoped nothing would happen this evening.
Meanwhile, Ivy heard her phone buzz and she took it out of her bag excusing herself as she checked it. It was Noah responding to her lingerie picture. She smirked at his reply and sent him another teasing text.
(Pity you are not at home, I would love you to make my mouth your daycare)
Ivy then closed down her texting app and noticed Kai’s face. Did he see her pic? She apologized, “Sorry I am all yours now.”
Kai’s heart stopped; he wished she was his; he had glanced at her phone and had indeed seen her picture on her phone. She was stunning and he licked his lips and looked up at her emerald eyes, “We should exchange numbers.”
Ivy saw no harm in it so she agreed, they swapped numbers and she put her phone away.
Kai hoped to regain their friendship again, “So what are you up to these days?”
Ivy explained what had happened the last few years when it came to Cole, Lauren, her father and now her company. But she left out Noah and her relationship, not on purpose but because Noah was so private she wasn’t sure he would want everyone to know that they were lovers.
Slainte (Irish for health and used to cheers and celebrate with another person)
