Cold Hearted Devil Fell In Love - Chapter 156
Thomas got out of the car first he tugged on his black suit, fixing it into place before he opened Ivy’s door for her. Ivy stepped out and he saw her face change, gone was the smiling mischievous girl he knew. She had somehow changed her aura to resemble the boss, it made Thomas shiver.
Teo also noticed the change in Ivy, he felt intimidated by her stern look, she radiated confidence and demanded dominance. He almost bowed as he stood by Thomas’s side.
Ivy had been thinking in the car about how to handle the blood clan. She couldn’t go in softly or use her wits to get Kai out of this as she thought about how Noah would approach the situation; she hadn’t noticed the icy aura that she had channelled.
Kai got out of the car and joined Ivy at her side of the car. He met Noah so he did not associate Ivy’s change with him, instead, he remembered the last time he was bullied in school. He was beaten and his glasses were stood on. He cried at realising the money his single mother would have to pay to get him a new pair. The kids had laughed at him, all except one person.
Ivy had stood in front of him and beaten the bullies, taken their money and then gave it to him for his glasses. She had defended him, she had always had his back. He had her and let her go, he had felt insecure and had never told her how he felt and he knew he had lost something really special. She was still fierce and feisty standing up for him over ten years later.
Thomas nodded at Ivy to reassure her he had her back. Thomas then turned to Teo and ordered him, “You stand behind.”
Teo nodded at Thomas, he didn’t know the plan but he was ready. He hadn’t been to any clan’s den but he had lived a life on the street with gangs so he knew a bit about how things may go down. He placed his hand in his pocket and placed the silver knuckle dusters over his knuckles.
Ivy headed straight for the club entrance, Thomas stood just behind her and Kai was at her side with Teo just behind.
The doormen of the club saw them approaching and opened the door. They were used to many people visiting their Blood Clans leader but they had never seen such an icy but beautiful woman arrive at their dinghy club. One even looked down at his bargain suit and fixed his tie, he wanted to impress this elite looking woman.
Both doormen then bowed their heads as one opened the door for her.
Once inside Ivy was met by a manager of the club he bowed and greeted Ivy and Kai. He realised the situation immediately but he still enquired, “Good evening miss, sir. Would you like a booth?”
Ivy glanced at the booths in disgust, she didn’t bow or say hello. She continued to look cold and indifferent.
The manager gulped at the lack of response and asked,” Are you here to see our leader?”
Again Ivy did not respond.
Thomas was impressed she reminded him so much of Noah right now these jokers inside didn’t have a chance. He wanted to tell Noah and also feared Noah’s response when he would find out where they had gone this evening.
“This way please.” The manager then led them through the crowd. It was an odd crowd with bikers, businessmen in suits, women wearing very little dancing and young teens all in booths enjoying the music and drinking together.
The music was loud and obnoxious to Ivy’s ears. She loved all music but she didn’t relate this to music, it was just loud noise.
They were then led down a flight of stairs and the music started to dim as they descended into a basement. The walls were covered in graffiti and Ivy didn’t want to hold onto the railing. Everything looked dirty and grimy.
Thomas was scoping out the area and counting the men they had passed. Most were just here to enjoy a night of debauchery but the ones he was interested in were the blood clan’s men. They stood out for Thomas, he was experienced and was able to count and pinpoint where and how many men they had passed in the club that evening.
In his head, Thomas had already navigated an exit strategy just in case they would need it. Though he was sure that Ivy had this if he didnt knows Ivy’s true personality that was full of positive vibes and joy he would be intimidated right now.
Reaching the bottom of the stairs the manager stood at a set of black doors and knocked.
Ivy glanced around and was unimpressed, she didn’t see why Kai would be afraid of this clan.
Kai was nervous but tried not to show it, he was only nervous because Ivy was there. He knew she was strong and had always fought for him but this was the first time he thought she may get hurt. He wanted to turn back but as he tried to signal to her or get her attention she had continued to stare straight ahead and ignored him.
The doors then creaked open and a skinny man in a hoodie and black jeans looked at them and then stood to the side allowing them access.
Ivy then strode forward as she entered the room first, her loyal friends following behind.
The blood clans leader looked up from his chair. The leader was an older man, he wore a black shirt and a red tie as he sat behind a large desk. A young girl sat on his knee and another was by his side.
There were long leather sofas on either side of the room and coffee tables sat in front of the sofas. The men seated on the sofas were all playing cards.
But Ivy had disturbed their peace and they had all stopped what they were doing to pay attention to the cold but stunningly beautiful woman that had entered their layer.
