Thomas chuckled to himself, Noah’s entrance had completely changed the dynamic of the room. The shift made the weak clan that stood in front of him shiver in fear and apprehension. Though he was somewhat regretful that he wouldn’t get the chance to beat these sleazy men. As he thought of that he walked to Noah’s side.

Noah understood Thomas’ actions and he nodded before saying “Report.”

As he said that Thomas gave the clan a grin before he whispered into Noah’s ear exactly what had happened and why they were there in the first place. Thomas didn’t leave out a single detail.

The blood clan shifted on their feet; they were beyond nervous now seeing that the group that they were about to attack belonged to Noah Adler. That also meant that the icy beauty belonged to Noah too. They unanimously took a step back in fear, but it was all a little bit too late.

Seeing his men flinch he knew he was alone if Noah tried to do anything to him. He swallowed his pride and decided to be upfront and humble when Noah decided to finally speak to him. As he waited with bated breath a trickle of sweat ran down his forehead.

Thomas finished his report and stood back at Ivy’s side, returning to his natural post to protect her. He didn’t fail to see the fierce glint in Noah’s eyes as he had walked away from his side.

Noah had heard everything and he was instantly thirsty for blood to be shed. Previously he had already left his business meeting early and had boarded his private jet to get home quickly to see Ivy after her provocative picture that she had sent him. But once he had landed he had got a text message from Ivy.

He opened the message hoping for more provocative pictures. When he did see her message he frowned and turned to Aiden ordering him to get the car and telling him the address. On the way, he re-read her message before clenching his phone in his hand tightly.

(Hey babe, Hope your meeting is going well and you enjoyed my sneak peek of what is waiting for you at home later. I bumped into an old friend tonight. You may know him because his name is Kai. He’s in trouble and I’m taking Teo and Thomas to help me sort it, dont worry ill be safe. Just in case you are worried we are only dealing with the blood clan. Hope to see you after, I’ll be waiting for xx)

He knew she was empathetic to people and so he understood her to need to help her friend but why did so many energy vampires have to descend into her life and get her into a bad situation where she may get herself into trouble or hurt.

He needed her to be a bit more ruthless like him but as he thought that he threw away that thought. He loved her for who she was and didn’t really want to change her, she accepted him as he was and that’s what had made them strong together.

“Step on it!” Noah ordered again, his voice low and stern.

“There is a red light boss.” Aiden was stopped at a red light and he gripped the steering wheel hoping his boss would calm down.

“I don’t care to go through them. Also, call team x to have them meet us there.” Noah spat out with venom.

“Understood boss.” Aiden then phoned the leader of team x guards while he rushed through all the red lights they met on the way to the blood clan.

The blood clan was beneath his boss, but if Ivy was involved his boss would go anywhere and do anything.

They had reached outside of the small and dingy club. Aiden stepped out of his car and opened the door for his boss. Team x arrived just at that moment, they rushed out of their cars and stood to attention waiting for an order.

Noah glanced at the club and turned up his nose in disgust, “Tear the place apart.” He ordered as he then watched his guards get to work in demolishing the club. As the areas were cleared by his men he made his way through the mess. He saw people crying, screaming and running out of the club. He didn’t care who they were, he let them go, he was after the clan who did their illegal business in the basement of the club.

The place disgusted him to think his lover was here, the fact that she had witnessed and entered this place made him livid. He wanted to spank her for her disobedience. The only request he had given her before he left was to have fun but be safe and this place was far from safe.

Making his way down the narrow and dark stairs he was apprehensive to see his lover, they reached the double doors and Aiden kicked them open before standing to the side. Noah walked forward and was pleased to see Ivy unhurt but the rest of the men looked like they were information to attack her. He clenched his fist and remained cold as he approached her.

Back in the present moment he walked towards the small-time clan leader and said, “You dared to covet my lover!”

His low voice made the room still and the men shake with fear. The clan leader wiped his sweat and then offered his hand to Noah,”Sir, boss, Mr Adler… I’m sorry I didn’t know. She didn’t tell me… I wasn’t aware if I knew.”

He babbled but seeing his hand left hanging he put his hands in his pocket. He felt disrespected again but now he knew why she was so cocky, with Noah as her backer she could ask anything from him.. But as she didn’t tell him he looked over and squinted at her, he was angry.
