Collecting The Male Leads’ First Nights - Chapter 58
“Why are the sandwiches I left here gone? You horse bastard!”
Limbo shook its head and feigned innocence at Sevis’ words, but the piece of cucumber stuck to his lips became a piece of evidence. Sevis jumped around with both legs while in his wolf form. Then, he grabbed the horse by the neck and shook it. Sylvia thought Sevis dangling from Limbo’s neck was cute, so she secretly liked it.
“You ate them, didn’t you?! I even brought organic carrots, so how could you eat the sandwiches?”
“Neigh!”
With difficulty, Sylvia took Sevis from the horse’s neck.
Sevis, who was struggling with his feet, belatedly recognized her hands touching his waist and blushed. Sylvia, however, defended Limbo, oblivious to his inner thoughts.
“It can’t be helped! We left Limbo tied so it must have been hungry. Let’s eat the chopped octopus.”
“That doesn’t fill me up… Gosh, I never thought the sandwiches I worked hard to pack in the morning would go into its mouth. In any case, Miss Sylvia, I think we should clean ourselves first? It was nice when we were rolling in the mudflat, but I’m worried about how we’re going to get home.”
Sevis, who was turning his head around looking for a place where they could wash up, soon gave up and slumped to the ground.
“Let’s wait a moment until the tide comes in. We can wash up in the sea.”
“No. Shall we walk a little? If we walk a little here, we’ll see the beach from last time, with the rocks.”
“That would be better.”
The world in the game ignored the laws of nature from real life, so even though it was close to the beach, there were mudflats on one side and shallow seawater on the other.
Holding the picnic bag in his mouth, Sevis walked ahead. Sevis’ back, looking like a muddy dog, was cute and fatal. Sylvia inwardly thought she wanted to bite him, but she didn’t show it on the outside. Following Sevis’ trudging steps, wolf tracks with mud appeared on the ground.
Arriving at the shore with shallow seawater shortly after, the two entered the water and washed off the mud. Then, they took the clothes they had prepared in advance out of the picnic bag and changed them. Of course, Sevis was behind a rock because he had changed back into his human form, and Sylvia was behind another rock.
Unfortunately, nothing happened, like Sylvia’s clothes being wet and Sevis looking at her and gulping, their eyes meeting after getting naked and playing in the water, or falling down suddenly and rolling around on the beach, shooting a love story… This is because it was a healthy R-rated game that only perceived adults as target characters.
Drying out their hair with the towels they had brought, the two grabbed their hungry stomachs for a moment and became troubled.
“Ugh… I’m hungry. Horse bastard… I don’t want to eat organic carrots…”
“Ah, right! We can catch fish and grill them! I forgot about the fishing rod.”
Sevis stared at Sylvia with a bitter look as he clenched his fists as if he remembered what she had forgotten. He had already seen Sylvia fishing for rubbish with the bad fishing rod.
“Miss Sylvia, it’s a good idea to catch the trash in the sea and purify the environment, but you need to understand the reality more calmly…”
“That’s not it! It’s different from before! Why do you look like that, Sevis? I got a good fishing rod, unlike last time.”
As Sylvia pulled out the 〈High-Quality Fishing Rod〉 from her inventory, Sevis looked at the item in amazement. The 〈High-Quality Fishing Rod〉 was different from the 〈Bad Fishing Rod〉 both in appearance and color. He looked at it in surprise, then hardened his expression again and muttered to himself.
“Will changing the equipment work, or was it a problem of the user…”
“What are you talking about? I’m going to catch some very tasty fish, so don’t be surprised.”
Sylvia’s pride was hurt, so she shouted loudly and fixed the fishing rod.
‘Huh, wait a minute? Looks like I missed something important the other time.’
She rummaged through the black bag containing the chopped octopus in the picnic bag and hung a piece on the fishing rod. She should have hung some bait, but she forgot about it. Maybe she only caught rubbish because she was using the 〈Bad Fishing Rod〉 without bait. As she put the piece of chopped octopus on the hook, Sevis made an exclamation of surprise and waved his thumb at her.
“Ah, you’re hanging some bait. I see you’ve finally mastered the basics of fishing, Miss Sylvia.”
“Sh… be quiet, Sevis. The fish will run away.”
As Sylvia spoke with a serious expression, Sevis sat down beside Limbo and watched her fishing.
‘What if I catch garbage again… I don’t want to be humiliated; my family members have increased.’
Limbo was also watching, so she couldn’t be any less nervous. Sylvia threw the 〈High-Quality Fishing Rod〉 in the distance, and as she was concentrating, a message popped up in front of her.
———————————————
[An amazing creature can’t be caught yet because of lack of strength… It is difficult to fish now.]
———————————————
‘What are you talking about? What is an amazing creature?’
Sylvia shook her hand, getting rid of the message, and focused her mind on the end of the fishing rod she threw into the sea. A moment later, something took the bait and pulled the fishing line taut. As Sylvia pulled up the rod with all her strength, a perfect fish, fluttering around, came up.
Ta-dah!
———————————————
[You have good hands! Sylvia caught a large flatfish.]
———————————————
As the large flatfish that looked healthy and tasty at first glance squirmed on the floor, Sevis and Limbo hurriedly approached it.
“Neigh!”
“Miss Sylvia! This fish looks so delicious! You’re amazing!”
Sylvia’s shoulders rose automatically as Sevis’ eyes turned from lifeless eyes filled with suspicion to sparkling gems filled with respect. She looked back at Limbo and Sevis with a haughty look on her face.
‘Now they are looking at me.’
“Ahem, I don’t know if you opened your eyes properly and watched me fishing.”
“Of course, I watched it properly! Dear heavens, a large flatfish… It’s a fish that costs a few gold per plate if you buy it at the market, it’s amazing! Can you fish again?”
The house’s accountant, Sevis, had been living in poverty since the day she started the game, so when he saw the flatfish, he immediately thought of the price. Sylvia felt her heart ache for a moment when the first thing he thought about was money.
‘That young child looks at a flatfish and the first thing he thinks about is money… My sins are big…’
Sylvia gazed at the flatfish with bitterness for a moment, then turned to Sevis as a thought crossed her mind.
“Huh? Then, can we sell flatfish in the market?”
“If we take them in a fresh state, we can sell them!”
Being able to sell them was great. If she sold a few flatfish and her household became wealthy, would Sevis’ face, which had become thinner than in the beginning, become healthier? Wanting to see his bright face, Sylvia gave an energetic yell with her fists clenched.
“Oh, alright. Then I’ll catch a few more!”
“Wow!”
“Neigh!”
As Sylvia rolled up her sleeves and grabbed the fishing rod again, Limbo and Sevis looked at her with respect, holding their hands… no, one animal holding its two feet, and one person holding his two hands together. Sylvia, who was feeling better, used the chopped octopus as bait and was able to catch three large flatfish and two rockfish.
“That’s awesome! That’s really great, Miss Sylvia! Let’s sell two flatfish and two rockfish right away. We can eat as much as we want for a couple of days with just one large flatfish.”
“Neigh!”
Sevis was delighted to see the fish Sylvia had caught. Then, he found Limbo next to him, excited with its legs up, and showed disapproval.
“Horse bastard, why are you happy? You’re a herbivore. Don’t even dream about it.”
Limbo, who smiled broadly as it saw the fish Sylvia had acquired, lowered its shoulders at his words and suddenly bit Sevis in the ear.
Squawk.
Bitten by Limbo, Sevis jumped and stamped his feet in an instant.
“Hey! Ah…! It really hurts! Do you think I’m funny?”
“Neigh!”
As Limbo turned its head to the side, pretending not to know, Sevis got angry.
“This is why I didn’t want to shapeshift. Gosh, is it funny that I’m smaller than you? I’m originally a lot bigger than this. I changed into a form a bit smaller because I was afraid you would be scared. You will pay dearly if you look down on me. I’m so strong that I can’t be compared to you! Maybe I’ll make some raw horse meat!”
Surprised by Sevis’ words, Sylvia restrained him.
“Be careful with what you say, Sevis! How can you say such harsh things to Limbo?”
“I just told him obviously that it couldn’t eat because it’s an herbivore, but it bit my ear. Gosh, it hurts…”
As Sevis was startled and shed a few tears, she looked closely at his ear. Limbo’s tooth marks were on the black ear rising above his head. Sevis, who howled as if he couldn’t stand the pain, glared at Limbo for a moment and then pantingly disappeared into the bush. Just as she was worried that he was going back first because he was upset, fortunately, he picked up a branch and came back.
“I thought you were angry and went home.”
“What? No way. I brought a branch to grill the flatfish.”
“Hm? The branches near the beach are soaked by the sea breeze. They won’t catch fire well…”
“What? What are you talking about?”
Tilting his head at her worried words, Sevis rummaged through the picnic bag and pulled out a welding mask and a large flamethrow
