- Chapter 432 The Final Episode (Part One)
It was very hot in July. After Carlson finished all his business, he planned to take a long vacation and travel around.
He hadn’t given himself a long holiday since he joined the work at the age of 18. He didn’t even have time to spend his honeymoon with Leena. He had been working like a robot for more than ten years. As a boss, he hadn’t enjoyed the annual leave as ordinary employees.
When he was young, he always hoped that he could finish his work and take a break, but he hadn’t. When he was used to the working mode and didn’t want to relax himself, he unexpectedly had time and could go on a trip.
Carlson had planned to go on a holiday in Hawaii to surfing. However, when he went to apply for a visa, he was told that he was restricted to leave the country.
He didn’t expect that the police would target him so soon and restrict him from leaving the country. Perhaps they were worried that he would suddenly run away like Dylan, but he was not in the mood to escape at all.
Since he couldn’t go abroad, he travelled at home. Carlson went to a plateau
eena sat down, there was still a surprised light in Carlson’s eyes. He just smiled, but Leena said to him, “You are different today.”
“So do you. I haven’t seen you for a long time. You are more beautiful.”
“You never wore casual clothes before. You always wear suits or wind coats. You seldom go out so casually.”
“Yes, because I didn’t take a holiday before.” Carlson said indifferently.
A waiter came up and asked them what to order. After the two ordered coffee respectively, as soon as the waiter left, Leena asked him, “Is it fun to travel?”
“Not bad. I’m relaxed.”
Then the two kept silent until the waiter served the coffee. The two of them didn’t talk about anything. Leena thought that they should say something, so she said, “I didn’t expect that we could sit down and talk like friends. You hurt me a lot before, but to be honest, I should thank you. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it wasn’t for you.”
Carlson smiled helplessly. In fact, he was a little embarrassed, but he didn’t know what to say, so he just drank coffee quietly.
