Complex Romance - 26 2 more months
On the next day, Teresa was back in being the cheerful girl. Her smile was like the bright sun, making everyone around her feel happy and energetic. When she reached school, Jane was already waiting for her at the cafeteria.
“Morning, did you read the message that I sent to you last night?” Asked Teresa to Jane.
“Yes, I did. I think that’s a great idea. But if it was me I wouldn’t care so much about how to repay him back, cause it’s not like you forced him to give you all those, he did it wholeheartedly on his free will. Haizz, you really have a soft heart.” Jane replied as she continued, “You look fine today, I thought you would be feeling down but you are not, that’s good.”
“I just don’t want to owe him anything that’s all. Anyway, what made you think that I would be sad? I’m super fine. I did like what you said and went with the flow.”
“You sent me a text message in the middle of the night, so what do you think I would think?” Said Jane as she rolled her eyes.
“Oh, that wasn’t because I was sad, I just thought of that idea and wanted to ask for your opinion that’s all, silly.” Replied Teresa in a laughing tone as she did not expect that her best friend would think that she was sad.
“So, you rejected him?” Jane asked because she knew that Teresa did not like John already.
“Yup, I did.”
“What did he say?”
Thinking back, John did not reply to her, so she didn’t know what was his response to her rejection. Did he give up? Was he upset? She totally had no idea, but she assumed that he had already given up. So she told Jane, “I seriously don’t know what his response was because he did not reply to me.”
“Oh well, at least you told him clearly already, that’s all matters. Don’t think about it too much.”
The both of them continued to chat until class was about to start, then only did they returned back to their classes.
…
When Teresa stepped into class, the boys started to greet her, she was like the boss of her class. Just as she turned to them, she saw both Harry and John chatting happily together. John didn’t seem as what she had expected him to be. She expected him to be feeling down and maybe have a sour face on him but he was the exact opposite of what she thought.
“He doesn’t seem sad at all. This should be a good thing because if he is upset, I would feel so guilty for being harsh last night. But, I thought that when people get rejected, they will surely feel sad. The same goes for me, if I were to get rejected by someone I love, I will surely cry for the whole day. So, if he isn’t sad does that mean that he actually doesn’t really like me?” Thought Teresa, as she saw the happy, smiley face on John. With this in thought, Teresa was even more confident that she did the right choice to reject John.
However, what she didn’t know was, John wasn’t unhappy because he still hadn’t given up. John was still determined to chase after Teresa, but he decided not to do anything for now as their finals are just around the corner. He did not want to disturb her or interrupt her paperation for her finals. But, after 2 more months when they finish their finals, he would definitely chase her back and win her heart. That was what John planned to do.
