Complex Romance - 39 As long as you are happy
Harry was not stupid. He knew that they left them alone on purpose, so he decided to take this chance and tell Teresa how he felt for her.
While Teresa was sitting on the swing, he went to sit next beside her. He was nervous as he thought it would be very awkward, but he knew that he needed to tell her his feelings. If he doesn’t do it this time, he doesn’t know when he will get a chance again.
“Teresa, why are you in a daze?”
“Umm… The sky is so beautiful, look there are so many stars. It looks so magical.”
“Yes, it is. Do you like stars?”
“Yup, it reminds me of those fairy tales that my dad used to tell me when I was a kid.”
“Wait, aren’t you still a kid?” Harry teased.
“I’m not. You are the kid here. I’m so much more mature than you.” Teresa replied as she looked at Harry.
“Okay, okay, I’m the kid, I’m childish.”
“Hehehe, you bet you are.”
The two of them continued to enjoy the night view. It was rare to see so many stars in the night especially when they were living in the city area.
…
Zoey, William and Bob were playing poker cards as they enjoyed the night breeze. The three of them looked like kids as they were sitting in a circle playing cards.
Jane on the other hand was like a worried mother as she worried about her best friend. She was worried that Teresa might not be able to open up herself while talking to Harry. Teresa had already talked to her before and they had already found an answer on whether Teresa liked Harry in a romantic way or just like a brother. So, Jane hoped that Teresa could tell Harry her true feelings and not bury it up in her heart.
Jane wished to see the happy and cheerful Teresa. She knew what her best friend had gone through in her past relationship, so this time, she hoped that her best friend could be happy and have a healthy relationship.
…
When the both of them were enjoying the night view, Harry finally opened his mouth and said, “Hey Teresa, can I tell you something?”
“What is it?”
Harry felt that his heart was going to jump out as he looked Teresa in the eye and said, “I love you.”
That phrase hitted Teresa in the head as she froze.
“I just wanted to tell you that I love you, I don’t know when it started, but as time passed I knew that I had already fallen in love with you. I’m telling you this not because I want to be together with you. I don’t mind if we stay as friends. As long as you are happy, I can be anyone you want me to be, a boyfriend, a best friend or a brother, you just name it. Please don’t feel pressured, just treat me like how you usually treat me okay?”
After hearing that Teresa felt so happy and touched. The warm fuzzy feeling came to her heart. This was something she never felt before.
When John confessed to her last time, all she felt was being pressured. However, this time was different. Harry gave her a totally different feeling, a very blissful feeling.
“What do I say? OMG, are you really Harry?”
“How do I know what you want to say? Wait a minute, are you blushing?”
“No, I’m not!” Teresa replied as she covered her face.
Harry laughed at her, he thought that she was so cute. She was totally different from her usual ‘manly’ self.
“Well, maybe you could tell me if you like me or not?” Harry asked in a cunning tone.
“Shut up, stupid Harry. I’m not as bold as you.”
“Hahahaha, so you mean you like me?”
“I… I… Stop it you are just making fun of me.”
“Okay, okay, I will stop laughing, I won’t make fun of you. You don’t have to be so scared. I told you to just treat me like how you usually treat me.” Harry said as he patted on Teresa’s head.
After a few minutes, Teresa finally raised up her head and looked at Harry.
“Well… I think I also like you…” She said as she blushed.
“So are you willing to be my girlfriend?”
