- 13 You can't leave an orphan on her lonesome, can you?
Violet woke up in a void confused and terrified. The universe around her had crumbled and shattered reducing itself to nothing but a few figures. Some of which she did not recognise. The darkness around her was a tamed foe and the little girl with red eyes and white hair was an unbeatable enemy but there was 3 figures around her, two of which seemed to be begging for something. One of the two looked a lot like Crimson and was twice her size but with brown eyes and hair most likely her mother and what she guessed to be her sister looked a lot like she resembled an obviously missing father. But what confused Violet was that such a monster even had a family considering she would destroy countless families without batting an eye but somehow has a family of her own. Yet they all seemed opposed to what she had been doing with what seemed to be her brother acting the most estranged to her with the two only sharing moments of arguments or discussing the contrast in their beliefs on order and chaos. She didn’t understand it but she put her bets on joining her brother if the time ever came so that she may face Crimson again and hopefully cross swords with her one last time.
And that time didn’t come but not in the way she expected. She watched as Crimson lost her eye and her opponent take relatively little damage. She had never seen Crimson lose and in such a manner too and what surprised her more was the terror she was felt with when she saw Crimson lose her cool and before they final collision that threw both of them away from each over and shattered the mountain she sat on. So being curious. She went to where Crimson landed and watched from a distance shocked at watching her convert her wings into an eyepatch for her left eye and wear pink nonetheless and watching in shock as she merrily skipped away with an umbrella to block the sunlight.
But she decided to leave the demon to it as she somewhat trusted her resolve on simply watching everything unfold instead of instigating but for how long she would keep to it she did not know. So she fled herself. Deep into the unknown lands where she travelled through countless forests and mountains until finally she happened upon an open field. It was beautifully decorated with various flowers and a magnificent oak tree sat at its centre atop a small hill. Noticeably, nearby a large house was being constructed but paying it no heed, she sat underneath the oak tree and meditated gathering her power and condensing it through her wings and soul stone. Until finally, a voice broke the silence taking her out of her trance.
“Hello there.” A tall handsome man with a kind look across his face was stood in front of her and putting two and two together she asked “Are you the owner of the house over there?” He looked back at the framework of the large building protruding from the slowly expanding clearing in the trees and back at her and nodded. “So are you an angel?” He asked looking at her wings in curiosity to which she simply answered “Yes.”
“Are there any more of you?”
“There was.”
“I see.”
He sat down beside her and closed his eyes in relaxation piquing the interest of Violet as she looked over to what he was doing when he suddenly opened his eyes making her jump “So you are a child angel?” She nodded in response. Angels had very long life spans so even at her age she was still a child angel hence her body being that of a child and her mind being somewhat not far off from one. “Do you have anywhere to go?”
“Not particularly.”
“Hmm. Why don’t you stay with me and my wife in that big house over there?”
“Eh?”
“Well it isn’t exactly fair to leave an orphan on her lonesome is it?”
She stared back in shock but nodded anyway starting a new chapter in a very new land.
