Corrupted Innocence - 7 Death of...
Maximus had been sent to a city near the edge of the federations territory due to reports of the primordial angel in the angel. Truth be told he is excited to fight such a high level angel as the angels he sent forth his legions of demons to kill were cannon fodder in comparison and he felt only excitement for this foe. Now that he could see the plums of smoke and the stench of iron filling the air he had arrived at the city and was met with a battlefield with explosions and gunshots echoing from all over the city.
“How interesting.”
Violet was watching the arch demon as he arrived at the city, the others were to hold back the armed forces whilst she fought with the arch demon. She dragged her gun and fired upon him and he dodged the bullets effortlessly before he dragged a sword and began to charge towards where she was and demons began to form around him and charging ahead. One jumped upon the roof and leaped at her only to be met with a magazine of bullets into its body. The next demon jumped onto the roof and Violet threw the gun at it before firing her rifle into its left eye.
She held her gun up in the air behind her and the arch demons sword clashed with her gun as she blocked the swing off his sword. “So I take it you’re the Primordial Angel?”
“How’d you guess?”
“Well for starters you dispatched my demons like nothing then blocked my strike without even as much as a flinch.”
“You want to know something else I can do?”
Maximus blocked a sword that appeared and flew at him and dodged backwards and blocked several more that continued to attack him inflicted wounds all over his body as he tried to dodge and block each of the attacks. “Amazing isn’t it? You see, it may be that you don’t know as much about me as you think.”
A sword sliced down into his had and separated it from his hand and soon after he was butchered by the swords as Violet watched onwards a chilling smile on her face. She deactivated the primordial swords and ran towards the sounds of gunshots arriving at the church under siege by a large number of soldiers. She dropped into the defences of the enemy and reactivated her swords and used them to slaughter the soldiers whom couldn’t fight back against the swords. Violet weirded one of the swords and used it to cut down more soldiers as the others cleared out the other positions and after killing the last soldier a tank fired at her position and she ran out of the side door and directed all of her swords to attack the tank puncturing it in several places and detonating the shells destroying the neighbouring offensive positions. Upon exiting the church her allies were met with the sight of a small girl with blonde hair; ivy green eyes; wings coloured like the sky; covered in the blood of her enemies, the head of the arch demon in one hand and the other a bloody rifle. Eight blood soaked blades orbited around her and the ground painted in blood and full with the corpses of armoured men and women.
She looked back at them and they all smiled and rejoiced at their victory as the sun dawned on the horizon heralding a new day upon the blood stained paths of the city.
