Cosmic Peak - Chapter 101
Ten hours in, Aren had finished creating a blueprint after lots of brainstorming and spent another 2 hours preparing and planning on how he would create the gear.
After doing everything except for creating the gear, Aren looked at the countdown on top of the Emporio portal.
Looking at the holographic countdown on top of the [Emporio Portal], Arren muttered, “Five seconds, huh…, what will I get?”
Three
..
One
Right as the countdown hit 0, a blinding light shot out from the portal.
Aren narrowed his eyes as he saw a fifty-centimeter metal box coming out of the portal.
After arriving in front of the metal box, he bent down and touched it.
*Siiiii…*
The metal box opened right after Aren touched it and revealed a fist-sized material.
The material was a dark blue rectangular object with golden carvings on it that kept jiggling like a slime as if it were alive.
Aren arrived near the object to check its information.
—–
[Wolven Sun Piece]
-An exotic piece of material synthesized from Wolven Sun’s domain.
-Rank: Epic
—–
‘Epic Rank? I wonder how it will affect my gear? Hehe, time to find out,’ Aren thought with a grin as he cracked his neck and stretched his hands before heading towards the gear crafting machines.
…
Day 32 since the Myriad Mountain was formed.
“Temple head, it’s been six days since Aren entered inside the abode. What is he doing?” Asked Kaler, one of the two Tengus that stopped Aren when he arrived here six days ago.
“He must be training to refine his mortal core,” said the other Tengu.
The temple head just sipped his tea with a gentle smile and closed eyes listening to the conversation of the two Tengus.
“Hmm… Interesting.” Suddenly opening his eyes, the temple head muttered with a smile.
Standing up, the temple head spoke, “Let’s go.”
“Where to, temple head?” The two Tengus inquired.
“Aren had just left the abode and will likely want to enter the trial as soon as possible,” the temple head said with a smile.
“What was that ‘interesting’ for, temple head?”
“You will know when you meet him.” The temple head said with a grin.
…
Aren left the abode with a brand new get-up. His current outlook was entirely different than before.
“Huuu…This looks better than I expected,” Aren said with an excited smile.
A full-body, dreamy blue armor with a light golden design and dark blue patterns that constantly pulsed with a bluish hue covered Aren’s body.
The full-body armor, with five detachable sections, gave the feels of a futuristic mechanical civilization due to its modern-looking design and the bluish-hued lines that kept pulsing constantly.
On Aren’s head was a white helmet with dark-blue patterns, and a light-blue glass face-shield that covered his face from his forehead to his nose.
On his shoulders were two crescent-shaped shoulder-plates that curved upwards.
The armor parts covering his hands, legs, and chest were a triple-layered solid structure, the outermost layer being the one with the golden and light-blue design, while the inner layers were a mixture of black and dark blue.
After creating his full-body armor, he still had some leftover materials, so he used them to create a simple gauntlet that was integrated into his right hand. Naturally, he is able to detach the gauntlet as well.
The gauntlet was more of a projectile shooter-type of gear that he specifically designed to release projectile skills like <Demonic Grasp>. A ten-centimeter-long barrel would emerge from the back of the gauntlet from which he can throw the seed of the <Demonic Grasp> skill.
This gauntlet worked better than when he used his hand to throw the seeds of <Demonic Grasp> since all he had to do was just point his hand and aim instead of swinging his hand to throw like before.
Aren also retained the buff of the [Vyrmyd – Leather-armor] since he wore his new armor over his leather one.
“That piece of Epic-grade material entirely changed the armor’s structure. No wonder it’s Epic-grade…” Aren muttered as he swung his arms and moved his legs before naming it.
“Hmm… I will name it [Weimbus].”
—–
[Weimbus – Mobile Armored Suit]
-Type: Articule Gear
-Rank: Diamond Tier / High-grade
-Requirement: Armalist Drive +4
-Perks: Increase Phys. DEF. by an additional 1000 and Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, and Lightning resistance by 500
-Defense: Physical [3350(+1000)=4350], Energy [3650], Soul [500]
-Resistance: Wind, Fire, Earth, Water, Lightning [500]
-Trait:
1) Wolven Authority: The gear’s weight will be capped at 1 KG. Comfortable to wear and will gradually restore the user’s injury. 50HP/min.
2) Modded Modular: The user can retract the whole gear into a bangle in his left hand. The armor is divided into five sections that can be manipulated individually and separated by the user.
3) Sun’s blessing: All your attacks will have half of their damage turned into fire damage. This is intent-based, so it will only work if the user intends to convert half of his damage into fire energy damage.
4) Wolven Sun barrier: The user can activate a barrier around him by consuming 1000 spirit energy that will absorb 5000 damage. The barrier shares half of the defensive and resistance values of the gear. (Cooldown: 30 minutes)
—–
Aren didn’t like that Wolven Authority because it actually limited the potential of this gear.
Considering the solid metal materials he used, like the [Fizart Iron ore] and the ore pieces given to him by the temple head, this armor should have a relatively good amount of weight, but…the entire mobile armor suit weighed only a frigging 1 KG.
Aren wanted it to weigh more so that he could use it as a weapon as well. Still, his wish was not fulfilled because one of the effects of the [Wolven Sun] material was that it nullified the weight of armors.
In most of his previous gears, he would get bonus stats from the perks of the gear, but he didn’t receive any bonus stats from this gear. Aren felt that it could be related to the [Wolven Authority], but he wasn’t sure as it was just his guess.
Aren, however, was overall satisfied with his new gear, even though it didn’t give him any bonus stats. The armor would increase his flying maneuverability by more than a fold since it had five detachable parts.
Helmet, vambraces, shoulder plates, chausses, and chest armor. This way, Aren’s ability to fly and dodge increased tremendously.
Second, he didn’t have any defense-type skills, but this armor provided him sufficient defense, so he was good now. Naturally, he still wanted to buy a defense-type skill or get it by any chance.
‘It should have some more benefits if I used those gemstones, but I’ll save them for weapons,’ Aren thought. He didn’t use those gemstones after thinking about it.
He then named his right hand’s Gauntlet as well and checked it out.
—–
[Slinger – Gauntlet]
-Type: Articule Gear
-Rank: Gold Tier / Low-grade
-Perk: None
-Attack: Physical [800]
-Defense: Physical [1300], Energy [500].
-Trait:
Sling Barrel: The user can use it to release throwing-type projection skills from the barrel on the gauntlet as long as it fits inside the barrel.
—–
“Its defense is good since I used solid materials, but It has no perks. Hmmm…whatever, I just wanted this to release the <Demonic Grasp> skill,” Aren muttered as he looked at the Gauntlet gear’s status.
“Your outlook changed drastically, hahaha.”
Aren looked at his left side and saw the temple head along two Tengus approaching him.
“Yeah, quite cool, right?” Aren spoke with a grin.
“Very cool!” The Tengus nodded their heads with shining eyes.
“So? Are you ready for the trial or want to rest for a bit?” The temple head asked with a gentle smile.
“Hehe… No more waiting. Let’s go!”
