Leveling their hunt level to 2 automatically upgraded their first two basic skills.
Aren looked at his status while moving inside the cave.
“What the…,” Tyrnace said with a surprised expression, “It’s going downwards.”
“Yeah, let’s go,” Aren nodded as both of them went deeper into the cave.
After running in the path, they encountered two paths and stopped.
“What do we do? The treasure could be in either path,” Tyrance asked, “Also, I likely won’t be able to get the flight-type skill if we encounter a fight.”
“yeah, but it’s fine. Treasure points are more important,” Aren said before he looked at the two paths.
“Let’s go to the left path,” Aren said before he started moving, “those two should have entered the cave by now as well.”
“Should we ambush them?” Tyrance asked while following Aren.
“Not worth it. It’s better to move first,” Aren said.
After they entered the dark passage and walked for a minute, they arrived in a spacious cave with two sabertooth tigers with flaming patterns on their body resting beside a red skull pierced by a sword.
“That’s the treasure!” Tyrance said.
*Roar….*
The two tigers woke up as they eyed Aren and Tyrance.
“Submit the treasure! I will hold off the tigers. We have to do this before those two arrive here,” Aren said as he noticed another passage leading to this cave as well, so those two people would arrive here regardless of any passage they choose to enter.
*swoosh…*
Tyrance dashed towards the sword while three aqua serpents also flew towards the tigers. Aren also moved since the effective control range of five meters.
On the other hand, those two people stopped at the two paths. Both of them were men in their late twenties and wore luxurious clothes.
“What should we do?” said the man with emerald long hair.
“It’s not wise to separate ourselves. Let’s enter the right passage,” said the man with short brown hair and brown beard.
Both of them hurried into the passage and, after a minute, arrived at the same spacious cave as Aren and Tyrance.
However, right as they arrived, Tyrance had touched the treasure with his hand, successfully submitting it.
[One treasure Submitted, 1000 treasure points gained.]
On the other hand, Aren had injured the tigers and impaired their movements by using <Aqua Serpent>twice.
“Let’s go,” Aren said, “we run now. I only have 5600 spirit energy left, so it’s not clever to fight those two right now.”
“Yeah.”
Both Aren and Tyrance moved started running towards the passage they came from.
“Attack them!” said the man with a brown beard as he pointed his palms towards Aren and released a flaming bird.
The man with emerald hair also executed his skill as sharp rocky shards flew towards Aren and Tyrance.
Aren glanced backward while running and waved his hand as he conjured the <Aqua Serpents> to destroy the flaming bird while telling Tyrance to dodge the sharp rocky shards.
“Bruh, those rocky shards felt more dangerous and fast; I almost failed to dodge one because of the suddenness of their attacks,” Tyrance spoke with a wry smile as sweat appeared on his face as he and Aren entered inside the passage and continued running with their full speed towards the entrance.
“Destroy the passage, hit the ceiling, and block their path,” Aren hurridly spoke, “you must have gotten skill related to tigers since you fought them with them.”
“Right away,” Tyrance nodded as he clawed towards the passage’s ceiling as a large burning claw materialized over his hands, which he released towards the ceiling while running.
“Although this won’t block them, it’s better than nothing,” Aren said, “let’s hurry and leave the cave so we can collapse the cave’s entrance.”
*Boom…*
Both of them heard a sound right as they left the passage, indicating that those two after them must have destroyed the rocky blockage created by Tyrance.
“Fast! Continue using <Sprint> skill,” Aren said.
Both of them hurriedly left the cave, and Aren used his <Aqua Serpent> one more time before coming out for a surprise to his followers.
After coming out, both of them started moving according to the plan.
Tyrance used his new skill to attack the cave’s entrance while Aren went on top of the cave’s entrance and used two <Flight Steps> before smashing down with a powerful stomp.
*BOOOM…*
“HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”
They heard a loud shout from the cave before the entire entrance caved in.
“I have another surprise from them,” Aren said as he snapped his finger.
*BOOOM….*
He had left three snakes near the cave’s entrance inside the cave at the corner and rolled them to make them inconspicuous, and since he was still within five meters range, he exploded the snakes.
[You have defeated a Treasure hunter, 500 treasure points gained. 500 exp gained.]
“Hahaha,” Tyrance laughed as he also gained the same notification as Aren, “now even if that one guy blasts off this caved-in entrance and come out, we can defeat him.”
Aren nodded with a smile before speaking, “let’s meditate and recover our spirit energy here. That guy has to come out because there’s no other path inside the spacious cave.”
Tyrance nodded before he and Aren sat down crossed-legged and started meditating.
However, before starting, Tyrance asked, “By the way, why didn’t you nullify those sharp rocky shards and instead nullify flaming birds? Those shard spikes were more dangerous.”
Aren smiled wryly and shook his head, “I judged that we could dodge those shard spikes, which we did. They were fast and straight projection attacks. However, that flame bird should be controllable like my serpents. Although I am not sure, it’s better not to take the risk. After all, if it was controllable, then we wouldn’t be able to dodge it.”
“Hmmm, yeah. Since you can control your serpents, that person might be able to control that flaming bird as well,” Tyrance nodded before he started his meditating.
‘It that person inside the cave is smart, he would first kill those two tigers to level up, acquire a skill, and meditate to recover himself before coming out,’ Aren speculated before he threw out useless thoughts and also started meditating.
Anyway, they were not planning to wait here and would leave after they were done recovering.
…
On the other hand, the emerald hair man trapped inside the cave indeed moved according to Aren’s speculation.
“Damn, what bad luck,” the man muttered as he remembered how his companion was blasted and disappeared.
Due to their hurry, they didn’t pay attention to the ground, causing that brown-beard man to get a very direct and close hit by the explosion of those three rolled-up serpents. Basically, his luck was just too bad that he moved there. If he was a bit far, then he wouldn’t have gotten a direct hit from those three deadly water explosions and might have survived, albeit with severe injuries.
‘Those two might be waiting outside, hmmm…I need to kill those tigers and see if they can level up my hunt level.. Otherwise, I will have to wait here for an hour since I can’t risk going outside,’ thought the emerald hair man as he headed deeper into the cave again, ‘after an hour, they will surely leave because of Treasure Lights.’
