Cosmic Peak - Chapter 126
Day 45…
Minutes turned into hours and hours into days as Aren and Tyrance continued with their Treasure Hunt for five days.
Today was the last day, and the duo had kept that first rank since then. Now it was time for the last Treasure Hunt as only an hour was left before the Treasure hunt was finished.
The Treasure Lights reached the sky, and the due started running towards the nearest light. They were currently in a lavatic region. The strange thing was that this region had a black forest filled with ashen-black trees. These trees released smoke occasionally, and their internal structure had lava flowing in them.
“We have to take this. The second rank pair is only one thousand points less than us,” Tyrance said with a determined expression, “even though they are epic lifeform powerhouses in reality. But here, we have a fair chance to beat them. Let’s do it!”
Aren nodded as he was also fired up. There was no way he would be satisfied with 2nd rank after wreaking his brain and doing so much in the past days.
“It would be awesome If we encounter those pair at the location we are heading,” Tyrance said with a grin, “you seriously built one heck of a skillset, Aren. As long the enemy was hit by one of your snares, it’s game over for them.”
“Control is most important when the playing field is even,” Aren said with a faint smile, “that’s why I mostly triggered control-type skills.”
“But how did you think of getting that stun skill? That was seriously…,” Tyrance shook his head with a wry smile, “didn’t know something like that was possible.”
“Hahaha, I also didn’t know but thought that I would try it, and it worked,” Aren said with a loud laugh. He remembered banging his head on the stone powerfully and getting himself a concussion after leveling up one time. Once he did that, he really triggered stun-related skill options.
He chose <Stun-lock Shout> from the three. This skill is executed with a shout to stun the enemy. Aren would always do it at the perfect time and stun the opponent for one to two seconds depending on the distance from him and his opponent while using the skill.
“Also, what about the skill you gained after level ten in this region? You said it’s a surprise but isn’t it time you tell me about it?” Tyrance asked while running.
“Nah,” Aren shook his head with a grin, “just wait for it. You will know. I took full advantage of the rules where our skills won’t affect ourselves with my last skill.”
“Haha, fine. Can’t wait to see what new thing you cooked,” Tyrance said with a laugh.
Aren had mostly low damage skills, but all of them had high-control effects, so he could defeat him once he caught an opponent in any of his skills.
The max hunt level was 10, and they had reached it ten hours ago. At levels 5 and 10, they received a boost in their spirit energy pool as well, which made Aren’s skillset even more potent.

“It looks like we have a company,” Aren said as he saw two people running towards a giant glowing boulder with a two-meter tall flower on it. The flower had dark orange and red sparks flying around it.
“Let’s do this!” Tyrance said as he dashed forward. The due had perfect teamwork now and knew how to support each other.
“Got your back,” Aren said as he also dashed forward and used <Ashen Smoke> as a trail of smoke released from his body.
Aren and Tyrance first reached the boulder. Tyrance went ahead to meet enemies as he had an all-rounder skillset with defense and attack. At the same time, Aren would support him by controlling enemies.
Aren first released smoke everywhere around the boulder and went to Tyrance, who narrowly dodged one of the enemy’s skills while blocking one with a solid Ice barrier.
Soon, the black smoke covered the whole area, which impaired the enemy’s vision. However, Aren and Tyrance could see everything because friendly-fire off in this place, lol.
“So this was the surprise skill that you acquired in this lavatic region? Fucking awesome, hahaha,” Tyrance laughed as he could see everything while enemies were blinded.
The enemy consisted of a man and a human. The woman seemed to be a demon as she had a single horn on her forehead while the man was furry with wolf ears and fangs.
“My smell is impacted in this smoke,” said the wolfman with a frown, “we have to locate them through sound. Stay near me.”
However, Aren’s water mirage appeared in front of them that looked exactly like Aren. Seeing that, both the wolfman and demon woman were startled and released their skill.
Alas, they failed to realize that it was a mirage in a hurry and slowed down when the mirage blasted, taking some damage.
Both of them conjured defense around them as they had defense skills, but Tyrance had a powerful defense breaking skill just for this situation as a red-metal spinning drill materialized that broke their shield.
Right after that, two vines shot towards them and snared them along with a loud shout that stunned them for a second.
And then another shout that increased their stun duration. After that, two ice coffins materialized around them and trapped them inside.
“Finish them off, Tyrance,” Aren said with a grin as he snapped his finger that dissolved the ice coffin. Still, the two people were frozen inside for two seconds, which was the effect of the <Frost Coffin> skill Aren acquired in the snowy land.
Tyrance nodded as he jumped up in the sky with jet legs before rapidly coming down covered in bright fire.
*BOOOOOOOM…*
Two notifications sounded as both of them received five thousand treasure points.
On day 1, they received 500 treasure points for defeating each treasure hunter.
On day 2, they received 1000 treasure points for defeating each treasure hunter.
On day 3, they received 2000 treasure points for defeating each treasure hunter.
On day 4, they received 4000 treasure points for defeating each treasure hunter.
And today, on day 5, they received 5000 treasure points for defeating each treasure hunter.
After defeating them, Aren submitted the treasure and gained 10,000 treasure points.
“Shit! The 2nd rank took us over by 5,000 points. They must have defeated an additional treasure hunter,” Tyrance cursed as he checked the leaderboard.
[Hunt Leaderboard]
Rank 1: Onel & ChenKi-139,000 Treasure Points
Rank 2: Tyrance & Ruine-134,500 Treasure Points.
Rank 3: Zhin & Ren- 117,000 Treasure Points.
…
“Today, we are getting ten thousand points per Treasure and five thousand points per defeating a treasure hunter; we have to find either treasure hunters or a treasure,” Aren said with a solemn expression, “let’s start moving without wasting time.”
Both of them started moving while Tyrance muttered, “we found treasure without the help of Treasure Lights, and they also did that. There is someone in their group with good eyes like you, it seems. It’s a close battle.”
Aren nodded as he went on full fucus mode and started observing.
He jumped in the sky with two <Flight Steps> to observe more area with his Astral-X eyes.
Sweeping his head in three sides, Aren captured everything, and a second later, a gleam passed through his eyes as he spoke, “two o’clock, fast!”
Aren descended and continued running at a fast speed as both of them had activated the <Sprint> skill since they started running.
“I captured a faint spark there before it disappeared,” Aren said, “hopefully, it’s a treasure.”
“Distance?”
“Three kilometers.”
“Let’s do it! I want 1st rank,” Tyrance said with a determined expression.
“Well, me too.”
