Cosmic Peak - Chapter 160
After entering the palace, Aren met with their uncle and looked at him for a few seconds as a flash of surprise flickered in his eyes.
The two brothers, Jin and Konish, requested their uncle to let Aren use the Elemental Zones, the facility they spoke about.
Afterward, Aren was led by a butler towards another hall in the palace.
This hall was mostly empty as it only had six doors in it and two sets of tables with four chairs at each of those tables.
Each of those six doors had a different name-plate on top of them.
[Demonic]
[Fire]
[Water]
[Darkness]
[Blood]
[Metal]
Aren first entered the [Fire] door and arrived in a thirty square meter room but…the room was wreathed with blazing flames flowing everywhere.
However, he was not feeling any heat or anything but could feel how hot it was. Basically, he was not negatively affected by the heat and flames since he had fire affinity.
He could be hurt by untamed fire energy or from enemy fire attacks, obviously. It was not like he gained fire immunity just because he has an affinity with the fire element. Instead, this room was filled with pure fire elemental particles, and they don’t hurt anyone as long as you have awakened the fire affinity.
Aren heard from Jin and Konish that facilities like these Elemental zones that are semi-artificial could only help one get a 1% understanding of level 1 affinity. To upgrade affinity to level 2, one needs to have a natural opportunity, epiphany, enlightenment, or such chances.
Then after achieving level 2 affinity, they need to make progress on their own by finding natural elemental spots or natural treasures.
‘Well, I should hurry up and form the affinity core first,’ thought Aren before sitting cross-legged and entering meditation while using his senses to sense and comprehend the fire element power.
…
On the other hand, Jin, Konish, and their uncle, Loushin, sat at a table in a not too big room.
“Where did you meet this new friend of yours?” Loushin asked with curiosity, “he seems to have a connection with those red dragons in the Beastar Continent.”
“What?!.. Uncle, you mean those Burning Crimson red dragons? That’s a Mythical clan of red dragons. How does Aren have a connection with them?” Jin was shocked.
“I just felt a similar aura from his body, but it was not entirely similar,” Loushin spoke with a slight frown as he tried to remember if he had seemed something similar but failed as he shook his head.
“His bloodline aura felt similar to those dragons but not similar at the same time,” Loushin concluded while shaking his head.
“Oh yeah. Aren said that he had a mutated bloodline,” Konish spoke as he slapped his hand on his lap before speaking with a shocked expression, “so he got a mutated bloodline, but it’s related to the Burning Crimson Red-Dragon Bloodline?”
“Hmmm, if the mutation got him a more powerful bloodline instead of degrading it, he has a better future as long as he continues getting stronger,” Loushin said.
“We will just ask Aren about it if he doesn’t mind answering. He also has a profound flame power known as Outrious Aember Flame. Uncle, have you ever heard of it?” Konish asked.
“Nope,” Loushin shook his head, “Never heard of it. Anyway, I have arranged your items for this journey. Come with me.”
The three of them stood up and left the room.
On the other hand, Aren had entered deeply focused mode right now as he was feeling the profoundness of the fire element and trying to comprehend it.
His understanding of the level 1 fire element was increasing every few minutes.
0.6%
0.4%
0.9%
0.11%
0.16%
After fifty-seven minutes, he reached 1% understanding of fire element and suddenly felt pure fire elemental particles entering his body and whirling together like a tornado.
Aren felt something instinctively and knew what he had to do now. It was a thought from his own being that he told him to start infusing spirit energy into the fire element tornado.
He didn’t hold back and infused a total of 20,000 spirit energy into the tornado. Afterward, he started infusing soul energy into it as an instinctive reaction invoked from his fire affinity.
As he started infusing the soul energy, the now lively fire element tornado that was mixed with spirit energy started getting smaller and smaller.
After a minute, the tornado became thumb-sized before it stopped spinning and dispersed before revealing a round sparkling red fire affinity core.

[Fire Affinity Core]
-Profound Flame power: Outrious Aember Flame
-Fire energy: [1,000/1,000] (20 per second)

[Congratulations on forming your first affinity core. Now for your information, as your comprehension of Fire Element increases, the fire affinity core will increase its fire energy capacity so you can produce more of your Outrious Aemer Flame.]
“Finally,” Aren spoke as he stretched his hand in the front and thought about conjuring the Outrious Aember Flame.
Suddenly, all fire element particles in the room turned frenzied as a beautiful wisp of flame appeared on Aren’s palm. This flame looked aember with dark red and orange sparks.
Aren hurridly put it away seeing the hectic situation in the room. He then stood up since the next was about forming a Demonic affinity core.
After leaving the [Fire] room, he entered inside the [Demonic] room under the supervision of a butler.
This room was filled with Demonic particles, and Aren started comprehending the Demonic element with full focus.
After an hour, he also reached 1% in the Demonic element as the process of affinity core-forming started.
Aren had to use the spirit stone to recover his spirit energy since he consumed 20,000 of it to form the fire affinity core. As for the soul energy? Well, only 1000 soul energy was consumed in that process, so he still had 2050 soul energy.
After five minutes, he also finished forming his Demonic affinity core.

[Demonic Affinity Core]
-Demonic energy: [1,000/1,000] (30 per second)
-Profound Demonic power: none.

He then heard the voice about forming a Demonic affinity core, but it was shorter than the one he got after forming Fire Affinity Core since he didn’t have any Profound Demonic power.
After he was done, Aren stood up despite feeling the temptation to stay in the room and continue to understand this Demonic Element and increase its progress deeply.
However, he had to leave because once he reached 1% of both elements’ understanding, the difficulty of comprehending them increased by a bit.
As Aren left the room, he saw Konish and Jin sitting at a table in the hall.
“Done?” Jin asked with a grin.
“Done,” Aren nodded as he snapped his finger, and a wisp of Outrious Aember Flame appeared on his hand.
“We got some questions, but you can only answer if you want.. However, we will ask them on the way so let’s continue our journey,” Konish said as he and Jin stood up.
