Coven Of Witch Craft - Chapter 5
After gathering the little things they had left they headed for the village. But Libra didn’t go with them. She told them that she would meet them there later. She had to take care of some things.
Kat stared ahead as she walked. She carried Connor in his papoose. He was sleeping. The children all walked beside her holding her hand. She wanted to make sure none of them got hurt or taken from her.
As they were walking they approached a very big wolf statue. Its teeth looked very sharp. It looked as if you touched it it would come to live and eat you in one bite. They were startle as a small man appeared behind some bushes.
He talked in a southern voice. “Hello miss. May I help you?” he ask as he walked up to them.
Kat was ready to fight. She didn’t know weather this man would try to help her or be some bandit. “I could say the same for you.” she put her hand on her knife on her side.
The man noticed. “Please miss I come in no harm. I’m simply a shadow. I have no intention to hurt you or these lovely children. I only ask how may I help you” he looked at her with no expression. It was as if he didn’t have any feelings.
“Um well I was sent by a woman that goes by the name L?” she stared at the man.
He looked at her and the children. He than nodded. “Very well. Welcome to the Wolfhound” he bowed and as he did buildings and people started to appear behind him. A whole village.
Kat and the kids looked in awe. It was truly breathtaking. A river flew by just close enough to get water and fish. The stores all lined up where they were. Bakeries, candy stores and pet shops were everywhere. And up the hill was a lot of homes to look very Victorian and old fashion. The walkway was made of a very pretty red.
“Wow” all of them said as they walked through the village.
They village people all stared at them. Most of them were dressed in fur and others were dressed in dirty clothing. There were dwarfs that were coming out of a mine nearby. Some giants came out of bar. A couple of them drunk.
‘This was an odd village indeed.’ Kat thought to herself. But it was perfect. She soon realized everyone was looking at her. She quickly grabbed her kids by the hands and started for the houses.
“Mama what were those things?” Riley asked as they past some giants.
“Those are giants you idiot.” Willow said giggling.
“Hey shut up” he stuck his tongue out at her.
“Shush you two.” Kat said as they reached the houses. “Okay lets see” she pulled out a piece of paper Libra had given her. Libra had wrote down which house they would be staying at. “Okay 456” she looked at the houses in front of her. One read 1 and the other 2. She sighed. “This is going to take forever.” so she started to walk down the row of houses. The kids followed close by.
After house and house they make it to 456.
“Finally” Kat said as she was somewhat out of breath. She looked at the kids. They were falling asleep. She noticed it took them forever that it was becoming dark. “I’m sorry guys.” she looked at the house. It was mostly made out of brick. The windows were small but it was okay. It had an upstairs as well. She walked up to the house and pulled out the key and opened the door. Her eyes widen. The house was beautiful. She walked in. The kids followed but laid on the ground as they entered. When they entered Kat she saw that the stairs went in a circle as they went upstairs. And when she looked on the right it was furnished. Well actually the whole house was. The room had a fireplace and chairs lined around a table. It was clear this was the dining room. She soon explored the rest of the house. The home had five bedrooms and three baths. She was surprised that Libra could afford something like this.
“Mama?” Riley said as he layed on the ground.
She turned to him. “Yes baby?”
“Can I go to bed?” he said as he got up.
“Me too” Willow said getting up as well.
“Yeah me as well” Misty said walking up beside them.
Kat smiled at all of them. “Yes you can. Go pick your rooms.” she smiled as they all walked up to the second floor.
“I see you found this place on your own.” Libra said as she was caring some books in.
“Yeah but it did take a while.” Kat walked up to her. She noticed a lot of piles of books outside on the yawn. “Are those all yours?”
Libra looked her and back at her books. “Oh yeah. I like reading. Plus most of those are spell books” she went out to grab some more.
“Oh.” Kat stared at her. “Well i’m going to go to bed.” she started for the stairs.
“Kat wait” Libra said as she rushed to her.
“Yes?” Kat turned to face her.
“Here” Libra handed her a old looking book
“Whats this?” Kat asked looking at the cover.
“Its a love story” Libra smiled. “Thought maybe you would like to read it. I have lots of others if you get done with this one”
Kat smiled. “Thank you” she walked upstairs. “Night”
“Night” Libra said as Kat disappeared upstairs. She turned to look at her books. “Time to get to work.” with the flick of her hand she started to move all the books inside. And soon downstairs into the basement.
“Ahh” she stared at the wall of books and her altar in the middle. “This is nice.” she went to her altar. “Now lets see what today is like” She waved her hand over a crystal ball and it showed a man in a cell. He was chained to a wall. The man looked very old. His long beard touched the ground. His frame was very small. He looked like he hasn’t eaten for days.
