Crossdressing To Survive An Apocalypse - Chapter 359: How to Germinate
Uncle Wen and Tian had managed to get everything under control. The ones who tried to rebel were all tied up outside the prison walls. Theirs screams and pleas rally brought momentary calm in their base.
Fan frowned slightly peering at the walls. “Are you sure this is a good method? We might lose the trust of our people.”
Yue sighed. “I know. Fear is no way to manage. But in this situation, we need to be ruthless to avoid any future problems. Besides, those people will be safe. They will come out alive but a slight bit spooked.”
“Their shouts will attack zombies,” a soft voice whispered with a hint of worry.
Glancing back Yue met the gaze of Juda. She had a deep frown on her face as she looked at the walls.
“Why are you out here?” Yue moved closer to her. “You don’t know this but the other prison cell has very special girl with a very special power. She technically repels zombies, that is how this small prison member survived.” He whispered softly into her ear.
Juda’s eyes widened ever so slightly. “isn’t that great? if we travel with her maybe we can reclaim our home!”
“That is our plan. But I still don’t feel safe letting her out or anywhere close to us. She is a special person.” Yue smiled at her. “You came to find Tian?”
“Yeah, she is nowhere to be found.” She looked around the base with a small pout.
Yue chuckled softly. “She is actually hiding from my mother,”
“Why?”
He sighed softly and led her in. “it’s a very long story. I’ll shorten it. We found our grandmother. My mum wants Tian to forgive her but Tian is against this. you know what happened in her past. Anyone in her position will make such a choice. I support her wholeheartedly.”
Juda frowned even more. “Is she okay?”
“She is fine. I saw her walking to the cafeteria section of the prison with uncle wen.” Yue escorted Juda in.
To be honest it was not safe for her to be roaming around in the base. Not many knew who the space ability user of the group was. If her ability got revealed she might even face the threat of kidnapping.
He did not wish for Juda to be in danger it was also the reason why they had recruited Jamie initially. He was publicly known as the space ability user that kept Juda protected.
But now Jamie was appended for collaborating with the enemy, and all of the food stock had to be moved from his space to judas. This led to many people secretly speculating about her powers.
“Juda just play along, okay?”
“What?”
As they walked in, Yue took out the spare glove he had in hand and wore it. he held Juda’s hand. “Wow you are so warm, your firepower is gradually increasing,” he said out loud.
A few people’s gazes fell on him.
Yue pretended to be casually talking to Juda.
And Juda who understand the drill played along with him. “yeah, its just the size of a candlelight though,” she held up both their hands together.
Yue secretly held up his pinkie in between their enclosed fingers and used the firepower he copied from tian.
“See, it’s useless. But at least I’m able to help out uncle Wen.” She sighed softly.
The people eavesdropping on their conversation slowly turned their heads.
Yue sighed and pulled Juda into the isolation cells. This was just a temporary measure. If the base members did not behave themselves, they had to ditch them and leave this prison.
Yue gripped Juda’s hand tightly. His family matters the most to him. He did not wish to jeopardize their safety for any noble cause.
Fan followed behind them with a soft pout. His husband always seems to be busy these days. Surviving without their home was much more hectic than he had thought it would be.
Gazing out in the distance, he could see a faint shadow of their old home. ‘We have to reclaim our home fast, for our safety.’
‘And for my sanity.’ He glared at many eyes ogling his lover.
He spotted tian among the group of soldiers and gestured for her to follow him.
She wordlessly did so.
They both first summoned Hary and Prisitsky over to Qian’s room for an official meeting.
Yue joined them later on.
Fan pulled him closer into a side hug. “We are all here to discuss our survival strategy. First of all, this prison is not enough to keep so many people. thousands of people trapped in a small space is the major cause of so many fights. We need to win our home back. but we need to be strategic. our numbers are low and so is our energy.”
He gazed at Qian. “How far have you gotten with those seeds we got from that mutated tree.”
Prisitsky’s mutated tree had shed a few spiky seeds off and when they drive over it they got lodged into their tires. They had a few of them. If they could harness, that power using a plant ability use they might be able to fight back the zombie tide much easier.
Qian perked up. “We need a plant ability user. Yue, can you ask your dad to try germinating it?”
Yue thought about it for a second, casting his eyes at prissily. “I… I don’t want him to try. He is old… and he might not be able to fight back as Prisitsky did.”
Qian’s excitement went down slightly. “We can ask a plant ability user to volunteer.”
“We only have two of them who survived the zombie tide. The rest didn’t make it.” Juda added with a grimace. “if we have to reestablish a base we need them,”
Qian sighed. “What can we do? I tried pouring water over it. I tried cold stratifications. Nothing works. The seeds would not germinate.”
“Have you tried meteorite stone?” Prisitsky said in a soft tone.
Everyone gazed his way.
He coughed softly and continued. “The mutated plant in me seems to crave the meteorite stone. The seeds might react to it.”
“We can try that!” Yue excitedly shot up.
“But where can we find it?” Hary gazed up at him.
Yue smirked widely. “it might be very close to us,”
He led them over to the pane crash right behind the prison center.
“Here?” Hary anxiously walked closer and tore apart the climbing vines that covered the humongous body of the plane.
“There is a high chance we might find some here. the kid said that this flight was shot down from the sky. Maybe a part of the meteorite stones might be lodged in it somewhere. We just need to find it.”
He awkwardly glanced at the humongous size. “It might take a while…”
“no, it’s here. I can sense it,” Prisitsky walked with difficulty over to the base of the airplane. He placed a hand on it. the green veins in his body wiggled around like an excited snake. “cut through here.”
Tian did the work of melting the metal off and tore the metal off.
Inside the broken plane laid a rock the size of a watermelon lodged in the armrest of one of the seats.
Yue plucked it out. “We got it!”
