The sunrise slowly illuminated the sky while making the cloud shine like gold. The joyful morning approached the Kadyn and Mike, who slept peacefully in the embrace of each other. The sunlight, after a few minutes, finally glittered on the young man’s eyes. Mike quickly covered his eyes against the blinding light of the Sun and slightly moved his head to check on Kadyn. The girl, still sleeping, hugged Mike’s body against hers in fear. With a small groan, Kadyn cried by tightening her grasp on Mike.

[Kadyn, while sobbing] – “Please, Gio, don’t leave me alone, please, I beg of you! ”

Mike understood that his wife was having a nightmare. With a small shake to her shoulder, Mike tried to wake her up.

[Mike] – “Kadyn, Kadyn, I’m here, wake up! ”

Kadyn opened her eyes in shock. She jumped on Mike in a panic and gently, she let out another shudder from her mouth. After a few breaths of relieve, the girl looked at Mike and wiped her tears off her face.

[Mike] – “Another one of those nightmares? ”

[Kadyn] – “I kept on having these dreams… dreams about your death… they are driving me insane. ”

[Mike] – “Maybe it’s because of the war and all we went through. ”

[Kadyn] – “You think? ”

[Mike] – “Maybe some time away from this conflict will help. Since we are leaving today, I know some places that can relieve your stress. ”

[Kadyn] – “You mean we are going on a vacation after we leave? ”

[Mike] – “What else do you think we are going to do? I mean, be glad that both of us didn’t go crazy or caught P.T.S.D. after all those the bloody bullcraps we went through. ”

[Kadyn] – “Umm… And maybe after that, we can start a life away from the war? ”

[Mike] – “Sure but I’m still worried about something… ”

[Kadyn] – “What is it? ”

[Mike] – “Sniper, he’s truly back! ”

[Kadyn] – “What? How? ”

[Mike] – “I don’t f.u.c.k.i.n.g know is he not bloody dead but I figured that if we stay from him and his men, we won’t have to deal with him. ”

[Kadyn] – “Are you suggesting that we run away and leave them to face him alone? ”

[Mike] – “Unless you want to stay and fight Sniper. ”

[Kadyn] – “No! Let’s just hide… From what I saw that day when you fought CR-455, I don’t want to risk your life again, Gio! ”

[Mike] – “Ugh, Look, we will see… if Sniper causes too much trouble, we will come back to help them or else, we will just stay hidden from everyone. ”

[Kadyn] – “Good idea but will that mean that we must stay hidden for the rest of our life? ”

[Mike] – “I’m welcome to suggestions if you have any. ”

[Kadyn] – “Let’s just hide then. ”

[Mike] – “But before that, I need to make sure Dane is out of danger. His condition is worse than I thought. ”

[Kadyn] – “You do that and I will pack our stuff up. ”

Mike jumped out of bed and headed for the bathroom. Before he could close the door, Kadyn squeezed in with him.

[Kadyn] – “Don’t mind sharing the bathroom with me? ”

[Mike] – “Make yourself comfortable. ”

*Later that morning

Miraculously, Dane survived his injuries but was put under intensive care. The others were more concerned with something else that happened while Kadyn fought the spy. The security has been breached and the camera caught nothing last night during the chaos. Some of the soldiers guarding the hangar accounted to have felt an uncertain presence during their shift. There was something that intruded inside the cruiser during last night’s breach.

While McCree, Mike and the others discussed the possibilities, an officer ran inside the room in total panic.

[Officer, out of breath] – “There is something… (breathes) something wrong with the crew! ”

[McCree] – “Woah, Woah, calm down there, friend! Explain what happened! ”

[Officer] – “There… (breathes) people… they are in trouble! ”

[Genji] – “What trouble? ”

[Officer] – “Come with me! ”

The team followed the officer to the hangar, where only horror and madness can explain the scene. Bloody and gore flew everywhere while the soldiers and the crew tore each other apart like a group of wild beasts. The men were like a bunch of screaming zombies, mindless and filled with rage and craze. Some of them, seeing Mike and the rest, jumped in horde toward their prey. Quickly, Mike raised a shield that blocked the incoming wave of zombies. The madmen rapidly smashed their head and hands against the shield until they cracked their skull and die or until they bled out.

[McCree, with a horrified face] – “What in. the name of the walking dead is this? ”

[Bernhardt] – “Oh… this is much more blood than I can handle… ”

[Genji] – “Doctor, I wish you have a logical explanation to all of this! ”

[Bernhardt] – “Scheisse, I don’t know what caused this either. ”

[Mike] – “Do you have some test instrument on you? ”

[Bernhardt] – “I have a small blood test device in my belt. ”

[Mike] – “Well that’s convenient! ”

By opening a small hole in the shield, Mike allowed a few drops of blood from the zombies to come in. Bernhardt stood forward and took a few drops of the sample in for a test.

[Bernhardt] – “Their blood is clean, there is no special virus or bacteria! ”

[Mike] – “Well that’s strange! We need to look for the source of this madness. ”

[Kadyn] – “Gio! ”

The young man turned to see his wife standing afar while waving her hands in the air. In a sudden move, Mike launched himself in speed and caught Kadyn in his arms.

[Mike] (worried and furious) – “You could be killed! Don’t put yourself in danger, I cannot always make it in time to save you! ”

[Kadyn] – “I only wanted to be at your side! ”

[Mike] – “Listen… I… ”

All of a sudden, a fast-moving object approached the pair. In a flash, Mike was sent flying into the wall, creating a huge crater in which he laid unresponsive. The unknown object quickly disappeared once more without leaving any of his traces.

[Kadyn] (in a panic) – “Gio! ”

A horde of zombies suddenly approached Kadyn in hunger. Kadyn hastily cut down 3 of them using her wrist knife and made a run toward Mike’s resting place. The girl tried to wake her husband up to no avail while the zombies jumped on her. As she prepared herself to accept her fate, a blade slashed through the zombies.

[Genji, while placing himself in front of Kadyn] – “How is he doing? ”

Using his ability, Genji cut down several other zombies with his 8 floating blades.

[Kadyn] – “I don’t know… he’s not responding! ”

A zombie suddenly jumped on Genji’s shoulder only to be shot in the head McCree. The bullet changed its direction and killed 3 more undead.

[McCree] – “Focus on the battlefield, partner! ”

[Genji] – “Thanks for the help but you know, I didn’t need any. ”

[McCree] – “Young looker, is he living? ”

[Kadyn] (in a panic) – “I don’t know… I’m trying to reach for his pulse. ”

All of sudden, an object dashed in speed in front of them. The silver armour can finally be seen. The tall and massive body of the man was shown in front of the three. Whatever it was, it has incredible movement speed and power beyond that of a normal man.

[Genji] – “Wait, this armoured figure, this phenomenal speed, this immeasurable power… No, this can’t be… ”

A tornado of wind appeared in flash in front of the three. It was a majestic mist of raw power and destruction spinning with such a high speed that it caused everything around them to fly into his jaw. But the wind stopped and something way more sinister than a natural disaster appeared in front of Genji. It was War, the fallen crusader, who survived his initial encounter Mike’s alternate personalities. The giant stood in front of Genji and McCree while Kadyn watched from behind.

[War] (in a confident tone) – “So we met again, samurai and cowboy… It seems that your Australian friend has bitten the dust a bit too soon. ”

[Genji] (in a menacing tone) – “War! You again after all the innocent you killed last time. ”

[War] – “Get used to seeing people die if you desire to live in this world! ”

[McCree, while reloading his pistol] – “Not this time, I will make sure you are the one who dies a painful darn death. ”

[Genji] (in a scream) – “Bring it on, War! ”

The samurai quickly extracted his two blades and with the eight others and stabbed War on the back before he could react. The edges barely sank inside the dark crusader’s armour even though they are burning hot.

[War] – “I see you have gained an ability during all those times we were away from each other… ”

[Genji] (with an anguished scream) – “Die! ”

[War] (in a horrifying scream) – “But your power still doesn’t match against mine! ”

All of a sudden, War disappeared from the spot and reappeared behind Genji’s back. With a quick reaction, Genji turned back to face off against War. But it was only an afterimage, the real War was one of the five surrounding him.

[Genji] – “Your trick won’t work this time, War! I’ve already acknowledged how to deal with your ability! ”

By retracting his 8 auxiliary swords, Genji formed a protective perimeter around him. As the crystal on his arms glowed, the blades moved at an astounding around him. The eight blades rapidly became a set of 24 swords with 16 of being an afterimage.

[Genji] – “I’ve trained with my ability ever since I lost to you and it won’t happen again! ”

With a few swifts stabs around him, War suddenly fell out of balance and fell to the ground. It was a violent collision since War’s speed and masse made a pretty deadly combo on impact with anything. War scratched the floor and after some quick maneuver, managed to stand still once more.

[War] (with an amused tone) – “I guess this is my punishment for underestimating your power. ”

[Genji] – “Come on! The fight is far from over! ”

[War] – “For Overwatch, yes! But as for you… it has already ended! ”

Genji, warned by War’s words, prepared himself for the worst by calling his blades back around him. The dark crusader launched himself toward the samurai without a warning and with both of his fists, spammed a destructive barrage of punches. In response, Genji hastily clashed his blades against the incoming attacks. Genji’s blades were gradually damaged with every punch landed. Finally, after a few seconds, War destroyed all of Genji’s eight weapons leaving only the samurai on his own.

[War, while throwing a punch at Genji] – “This is the end of you! Take this, die for the greater good of this world! ”

In a flash, Genji was magically dragged in the air, avoiding War’s attack.

[War] (surprised) – “What is this? Another crystal user? ”

The wind drifted around McCree as Genji landed beside him safe and sound. The crystal on his arm glowed while small tornados formed in the air.

[McCree, while touching the tip of his hat] – “This is my ability… I also made some progress with it during all those times. ”

[War] – “Interesting… If you remained quiet, you may have lived but now, you’re just another target on my list. ”

[McCree, after dropping his cigar on the floor] – “All we needed to do is teamwork… the reason why we never manage to beat you is because we never worked together to achieve a common goal! A war can only be won by an army and not a single man! ”

Genji slowly stood up and exited the two of his remaining blades from his back while Kadyn approached the pair with a sniper rifle. The group stood in front of War with confidence and courage while War watched with a pathetic look.

[Genji] – “Now, McCree! ”

A sudden wind blew Genji skyward while Kadyn aimed her rifle at War’s eyes. As Genji dropped toward War’s face, the dark crusader immediately launched a strike to his defence but instead, missed his target. Kadyn rapidly fired 5 shots that ricocheted around War’s body through McCree’s ability. Disoriented, War failed to defend against Genji’s strike to his visor which left, for the first time, some severe damages to his armour.

[McCree] – “Kadyn, freeze him! ”

[Kadyn, while running toward War] – “I’m on it! ”

[Genji] – “You don’t need to! ”

The samurai kicked and slashed his sword against the dark crusader’s head time after time before the crusader finally collapsed on the floor. Sparkles of electricity flew out of his damaged visor while smoke came out of his helmet.

[Kadyn] (in excitement) – “We won! ”

[McCree] (worried) – “Not quite, we need to finish him off, he’s too dangerous! ”

[Genji] – “How wasn’t he able to hit me while I was in the air? ”

[McCree] – “Air lens, my ability allowed me to created air lens which confused his perception of your position. ”

[Genji] – “That’s a pretty smart move, McCree but what about him? ”

[Kadyn] – “Should we… ”

Suddenly, War moved his hands, gradually, he moved his legs and jumped up in a fit of rage. He was filled with murderous intents. Unlike a few minutes ago, he’s now a maniac thirsty for the innocents’ blood.

[War] (in a cold murderous voice) – “Do you think this is some sort of game or movie? I was seriously humiliated by your little circus act… If humiliating me amuse you then will the death of traitor like you have the same effect? ”

[Genji] – “Damn it! You bastard! ”

[War] – “Come forth, [Holocaust]! ”

War’s arms glowed like a burning volcano ready to explode while his body was filled with so much power that it almost felt that he was going to blow! The true raw power of War was more than what the team anticipated. War may not be a crystal user but his strength is comparable or even surpasses one.

War disappeared into the air and after a few seconds, an explosion shook everyone off their feet. The air breathed fire while most of the ship’s structure busted in flame. The damage was immeasurable, War has managed to punch every of the ship’s parts within the spend of a few seconds. Death littered in the thousands while the wounded tried to evacuate. Somehow, the cruiser is still up in the air.

[Kadyn] – “This bastard… what did he do? ”

War stood in front of the three in satisfaction and joy while he watched the mothership burn along with its crew.

[War] – “This world will be rid of your threat because today, I will make sure to end Overwatch’s tyranny over the people! ”

[Kadyn] (yelling) – “You bloody mad man, you are insane! ”

[War] – “Maybe you would want to have a taste of madness too! ”

[Kadyn] (in shock) – “Gack!… ”

War promptly took Kadyn by the feet and launched her behind him. The girl landed on the ground in the middle of a horde of zombies.

[Genji] (in a panic) – “Kadyn! Hang on! We are coming to save you! ”

War smashed his fist against the floor and looked at Genji with a menacing look.

[War] – “If I were you, I will stay quiet! ”

A figure from afar stood and looked at War, who gave him a hand signal. The man is the third crusader from the group, the dark crusader capable of deranging people’s mind as he sees fit. Physical strength is not his weakness but he mostly relies on his terrifying power to terrorize the populace and his name is K.

[K] – “come forth, [Purge storm]! ”

Kadyn looked in horror while the wave of mind-changing frequency slaughtered across the mind of all those unfortunate enough to be in its range.
