In the darkness of a small room, two persons sat in front of each other with both their faces hidden from the broad of light. One of them showed signs of anxiety while the other one stayed calm and confident.
[Sniper] – “Have I made myself clear enough? ”
[stranger] (nervously) – “I… I… don’t know… I… have no other choices, right? ”
Sniper leaned closer to the hidden figure inside the shadow and stared at his face in a mocking cold laugh.
[Sniper] – “Do you honestly think that we live in a Disney fantasy or an animated wonderland? Oh please, my friend, consider yourself the luckiest person alive up until this day. The offer I declared is a judgement of life or death so consider with caution. ”
The stranger in obscurity trembled in fear and panic but kept his cold toward the emperor of the world.
[stranger] (in fear) – “You promised me, right? You won’t lie to me, right? I trusted you for my whole life, you won’t betray me, right? ”
[Sniper] (in a sinister voice) – ” *Slam the table* As long as you keep your part of the promise, I will keep this a secret. I want him to suffer, I want his despair, I want salvation from the torture he made me go through. Play your part and I will make promises come to truth. ”
The stranger sat in disbelief in his chair while in his cold breath, cried the sobbing sound of regret and pain.
Suddenly, the stranger disappeared from his chair and a woman sat instead in his place.
[Sniper] – “This is out of the way, right? ”
[MD] – “Yes, my dear master, I put that peasant back where peasants belong. ”
[Sniper] – “How’re things going on the other sides? ”
[MD] (enthusiastically) – “Lapidazione found where Mike is and will soon launch his assault. On the other hand, Kady and Krafton are pretty much in a state of “lovey-dovey”. Hahahahaha! ”
[Sniper] – ” *fake laugh* ”
[MD] (in delight) – “Hahahahahahahaha! I want to see him suffer as much as you do, my lord! ”
[Sniper] – “Yes, dear Divine Maiden, do what you must but we’ll break him later. ”
[MD] (in a psychotic voice) – “Yeeees! I want to see his face when he realizes the despair he’s living in!! I want to crush his mind like the scrum he is! ”
[Sniper, in his mind] – (“Freak! Mike will suffer alongside you, Karma will catch up to degenerates like you and justice shall remain with me, with people that deserve it. “)
*Inside Team Zero’s aircraft
Mergiann’s eyes gradually opened up to a blinding light on her face. She instantly closed her eyelids in response to the flashing bright.
[Mergiann] – “Ow! Ow! Ow! Close the light! verdammt! ”
Karson, who sat beside her bed, rapidly pulled on the light switch to his right.
[Mergiann] (in relieve) – “Jeez… How long have I been like this? ”
[Karson] – “About 2 days, I guess… But you are still a loli… ”
[Mergiann] (in frustration) – “Oh… Shut it up, Karson, you are a twenty years old grown man staring at a sixteen years old girl in her sleep… feel some shame, god damn. ”
[Karson] – “You would have died of starvation and dehydration if I wasn’t here! Darlynn went back to her family for Christmas while Azur handed the intel we found from Rectangular Bullet’s computer along with Sherlock and Watson to Overwatch and Mike. ”
[Mergiann] – “Soo… you are half-guilty? ”
[Karson] (annoyed) – “Cut the bloody crap already… ”
Mergiann slowly crawled out of her bed and put her feet in her slippers.
[Mergiann] – “So it’s just the two of us together for Christmas? You aren’t going back to your family in England? ”
[Karson] – “England isn’t safe four our asses after wha’ happened in that bar two days ago. ”
[Mergiann] – “Oh… same goes for me, it’s been so many years since I last met my family back in Germany. ”
The two shared a moment of silence and awkwardness while they looked away from each other.
[Karson] (embarrassed) – “I got you a gift… You know since you like explosions that much… ”
[Mergiann] (blushing) – “You… got me a gift? You shouldn’t… ”
Karson turned back and grabbed a large box which he handed to Mergiann without hesitation.
Mergiann looked on the ground in embarrassment but still put her hands on the box.
With a quiet and delicate motion, the young girl opened the cover only to find a custom made Megumin hat from the anime Konosuba.
[Karson] – “Since we are both weebs, I guess this is the best I could do… ”
Mergiann gently pushed the box back toward Karson and kneeled on the floor.
[Karson] (surprised) – “Wha’ ? You don’t like it? ”
[Mergiann] (in a light voice) – “I don’t have a present for you so I don’t deserve this. ”
Karson approached Mergiann and showed her a warm smile.
[Karson] – “Take it, comrade, it’s Christmas, I don’t mind something so insignificant. ”
At first, the girl was hesitant but after a small reflexion, she smiled and hugged Karson in her arms.
[Mergiann] – “I promise, next year, that I will offer you something too. ”
[Karson] – “Haha… alright, little sister. ”
Mergiann immediately stared at Karson in anger upon hearing his last phrase. Thus the fights between these two kept ongoing, not even coming to a stop for Christmas.
*Somewhere else in the world
Though it’s the time of the year where everyone could enjoy a happy time, not everyone has something to enjoy.
[Mike] – “You know… I think you look beautiful tonight, Kadyn. ”
On a rocky cliff in the middle of the day, Mike talked to the void with a paranoid face.
[Mike] – “No… I think you can hear me, right, mister? I asked for something else than pizza… ”
The young man sat up from the ground and lifted his fists in anger.
[Mike] (in frustration) – “CR-455, you are back but you won’t be able to steal anything from me tonight. ”
All of sudden, Mike fell to the soil in a panic while he gasped for air.
[Mike] (in a panic attack) – “What the hell? What the hell is happening to my f.u.c.k.i.n.g mind? ”
The young man stared at a small flower in the soil while the dust flew away from his heavy breathing.
[Mike, in his mind] – (“I’m losing my mind… I need to preserve myself… I can’t keep on going like this! “)
Mike suddenly busted into heavy laughter along with droplets tears raining from his eyes.
[Mike] (in frustration) – “Fuuuuck! hahahahaha! F.u.c.k.i.n.g hell, f.u.c.k.i.n.g son of a bitch! hahahahaha! ”
The young man hastily put his palms around his mouth to hold the laughter but tears kept on flowing from his eyes. In end, he let his laugh run free around the mountains while tears flowed from eyes like a waterfall.
As he rolled on the floor in pain while laughing, a man approached him.
[herdsman] – “Hey, young boy, are you fine? Do you need some help? ”
Mike suddenly raised from the ground without the need of his hands like a vampire and grasped the old man’s collar in a psychotic face.
[Mike] – “Don’t you think life is a comedy? I need an assistant for this presentation, mister. ”
The crystals around Mike’s forearms glowed in a fiery blue and abruptly, all the rocky structure around the old man changed to a shade of dark. The ground then split into two and both them fell inside the infinite void of the underworld.
A few minutes later, Mike returned the old man to the ground. The herdsman sat on the ground in shock and fear while his body froze in place.
Mike approached the man and snapped his finger beside his ear. In response, the herdsman covered his face with his shaky hands.
In the meantime, the young man’s other hand suddenly slapped Mike on the face.
In a sudden realization, Mike quickly helped the old man up from the soil and drove him back toward his herd of sheep.
Afterward, Mike sat on the cliff in total in dead silence while he stared at the void beneath him.
[Mike] – “I’m still a monster… I thought I killed him but he still resides inside me. ”
The young man pulled Kadyn’s half-destroyed photo out from pocket and burned the picture using his ability.
[Mike] – “I’m sorry, what’s good being rescued by a monster anyways… Whatever fate awaits you, I guess it’s better than being with me. ”
While the last pieces of ashes flew away with the wind, Mike stared at the horizon.
[Mike] – “I should have died long ago but you showed me all the happiness I could ever experience in a lifetime in a few months. I’m truly grateful that I met you back then. I can now finally rest in peace, not with violence but with the greatest memories. ”
The young man closed his eyes and prepared himself to jump.
[Lapidazione] – “I’ll have to hold you up right there. ”
[Mike] – “Leave me alone, I’m not f.u.c.k.i.n.g getting convinced to not f.u.c.k.i.n.g jump. ”
[Lapidazione] – “Broke my heart to see you in such despair, I even wanted to abort the mission just by seeing you this way, Mike! ”
Mike suddenly opened his eyes upon hearing his name being called out.
[Mike] – “Who are you? ”
[Lapidazione] – “Lapidazione, the name means stoning in English, a form of execution that means throwing rocks at someone up until they are dead. ”
Without a response, Mike pushed himself down the cliff in an attempt to end his life but Lapidazione used his ability and pulled Mike back toward him.
[Lapidazione] – “Not so fast, I wouldn’t just let the great Mike die in such a pitiful way. ”
[Mike] (in frustration) – “This is just f.u.c.k.i.n.g great! You guys won’t even let me die now… Why don’t you just do me a favour and kill me already! ”
[Lapidazione] – “Jesus, I can’t believe this, the great Mike we are all talking about is just a sad and suicidal man? Disappointing at best, I was expecting a fight. ”
Lapidazione put his foot on Mike’s face and smiled as he watched the young man getting humiliated.
[Lapidazione] (in a mocking tone) – “Broke and pathetic, what happened to you? The legend that defeated the devilish CR-455 is this? A shitty brat on the verge of brain death while his face was crushed by a foot that just walked on sheep shit? ”
[Mike] – “Yeah! Sucks to be me. I don’t care anymore, do whatever you want with me. ”
Angered by the young man’s ignorance, Lapidazione proceeded to raise his tone.
[Lapidazione] – “You failed, Mike. Your wife is still alive and is being f.u.c.k.i.e.d by a man she loves. ”
[Mike] – “Do I look like I f.u.c.k.i.n.g care? That man is surely way better than me anyway. ”
[lapidazione] (frustrated) – ” *Grumble* I guess I’ll have to try harder than this… ”
[Mike] – “Try as hard as you can! As much as I know, I won’t be up fighting anymore. I’m done with this shitty bloody world. People can kiss my ass, society can suck my d.i.c.k, Talon can lick my piss and you can eat my shit! ”
Lapidazione slowly pulled a hologram projector out of his pocket and inclined toward Mike.
[Lapidazione] (in a wicked voice) – “I may have something that could get you to fight, something that shows you that you aren’t the lowest sc.u.m around, something that I took while I was with your wife. ”
