‘BOOM!!!’

A small crater was formed at the location of Hong Lingwan, and a figure flew adn crashed into the trees, creating a pathway of destruction for few metres.

Undoubtedly, it is Hong Lingwan who was injured heavily by the spherical ball aka a grenade.

Yes, the spherical ball was a grenade which Mo Feng got as a reward for completing his mission.

“Wow, that went better than I thought.” mumbled Mo Feng when peeking from a tree looking at the messy scene in the distance.

When Mo Feng first saw Hong Lingwan, he knew who the person was by the dark red light emitting from him, a Big boss has emerged, and was able to confirm his identity.

Mo Feng knew he can’t do anything to Hong Lingwan with his current strength.

And then he remembered the special reward he received, grenades back from earth, and so he devised a plan.

He wasn’t sure of the power of the grenade on an Innate Qi master, but even if it couldn’t kill one, he was sure it will definitely injure him.

So he acted like he was fleeing, and throwing away the grenade with his shout of Heavenly sacred flower strored in the grenade. He thought, even if Hong Lingwan, didn’t believe him completely, he would have no choice to go catch the grenade to check it by the expression of greed he showed earlier.

And as he guessed, Hong Lingwan went for the grenade first before chasing him.

Even then, as soon as he touched the grenade, Hong Lingwan perceived the danger. But he was not sure where the danger was coming from; his first thought was the grenade in is hand.

Thankfully, Mo Feng planned ahead for this too. This was a bit of gamble on Mo Feng’s side but it worked out well thanks to the mission notice and all the information he had on his mind.

When he received the Emergency mission and the additional mission, after seeing the name Hong Lingwan, Mo Feng thought he might be related to Hong family, one of the great four families in the Red Mountain city.

First, he doubted the fact that Hong Lingwan is part of the Hong family, because how hidden the Hong family acted, there will always be a trace of relation with them and ouroboros gang which oculd have been found by other families.

Moreover, the power of Ouroboros gang is equivalent or even higher than a great family in the city, which could only be possible by support from a family in capital.

But when he first saw Hong Lingwan, the mysterious leader of Ouroboros gang, a certain event came to his mind and another thought struck him.

He remembered the city lord’s action against with all the families few years back and the disaster which fell on all families by ambush. Without inside information, it was not possible to come up with such bold actions.

So Mo Feng thought ‘What if Ouroboros gang is haldled by the Hong family, but it was supported by a powerul entity from the capital?’

As he thought more about it, he was more sure about his conjecture. But using it to distract Hong Lingwan when he was holding the grenade is a bit of a gamble since if he was not right, Hong Lingwan might get even more doubtful about the grenade in his hand and will throw it away immediately.

But Mo Feng had no other choice and choose to gamble and it worked.

Hong Lingwan walked out from the tree debris with slightly sluggish movement.

Hong Lingwan looked miserable. The hand that was holding was missing now and it looked like it was tore down by a beast. He also had a big wound below his chest and all of his front side was filled with metal shard wounds and he was bleeding all over.

His face was twisted with pain and anger when he looked at Mo Feng who was peeking out from the tree in the distance.

Clearly Mo Feng’s gamble worked, but what he didn’t expect was, it worked better than he thought and did even more damage to Hong Lingwan.

When Hong Lingwan heard Mo Feng telling his name and background, Hong Lingwan thought again of the warning the person behind him spoke in a mysterious voice.

“Be careful when you try to get rid of Mo Feng. He might be protected by someone extremely strong. After all she is a very special person, and there is a high chance she would left one of her person to protect her son.”

At first, Hong Lingwan was very careful, but after the first attempt, he almost made sure there was no one protecting Mo Feng from that family.

But hearing Mo Feng suddenly telling about him and his background, he panicked and thought about the protector of Mo Feng and raised a defensive barrier around him in fear, which turned out to be his biggest mistake.

When grenade usually blow up, the explosion will spread around, but Hong Lingwan locked the grenade within his defense barrier which resulted in full power of grenade explosion attacking him in close proximity.

Poor Hong Lingwan had never seen a grenade and thought it was a special stroage item for Heavenly sacred flower, and didn’t realize the mistake of his actions until the explosion.

Result of that explosion was his current state. Even Mo Feng was also astounded looking at Hong Lingwan’s current miserable state.

Hong Lingwan, even though he was injured heavily and his aura was unstable, he still moved fast towards Mo Feng with anger.

Mo Feng also looked at the approaching Hong Lingwan and he slowly took a Cluster soul chasing ball and put it under his leg.

Since he was hiding behind a tree and only peeking, Hong Lingwan didn’t notice Mo Feng’s action.

When Hong Lingwan neared him, Mo Feng also retreated in haste and ran a distance.

When Hong Lingwan just crossed the previous locvation Mo Feng was standing, he turned and threw another Cluster soul chasing ball.

Seeing another weird metallic ball, Hong Lingwan became wary and avoided it cleanly. But what he didn’t know was the metal ball wasn’t supposed to hit him at all and it successfully reached its target.

When two balls touched, it blew and the needles hidden in the ball went in all directions.

Mo Feng already know the range of the Cluster soul chasing balls and he is safe right now. But Hong Lingwan on the other hand, again suffered from Mo Feng’s scheme.

If he was in a good condition, he could have blocked the needles with his aura forming a barrier, but Hong Lingwan was currently injured and his aura was currently unstable. So, even though he blocked lots of needles coming at him from behind, many needles still reached him and the paralysing took effect.

But because of his high cultivation, the effect was reduced much and he was still able to move at 40% of his original speed.

Just when he gritted his teeth and decided to kill Mo Feng with all his strength beofre that little bastard pull any more scheme against him, he saw Mo Feng putting more distance between him like he knew what Hong Linwan thought and pulled out a throqwing spear and took it in both of his hands.

What followed was Mo Feng spamming Hong Lingwan with throwing spear and sleeve dart attacks. He still had around 60 to 70 of each weapons and he pulled all on Hong Lingwan.

Hong Lingwan avoided most of the attacks with his many years of battle experience, but he can’t avoid all of the attacks.

Mo Feng grinded down Hong Lingwan’s vitality just like he did it with the Poisonous Blue Python, the only difference is he didn’t get close to Hong Lingwan and maintained only ranged attacks. He saw the poisonous attacks Mo Ya suffered so he was very careful and didn’t get close to Hong Lingwan.

20 minutes later, Hong Lingwan slumped to the ground without any energy left and needles and spear extending from all over his body.

Suddenly Hong Lingwan laughed madle, and seeing this Mo Feng stopped attacking and looked at him.

His laugh became too maddening and he roared in anger and madness “Hahaha Mo Feng, don’t think you can be safe by killing me. Hahaha… You have no idea who set his eyes on you. There is no way for you to escape his grasp. I will wait for you and your family in hell… Hahahaha!!!”

Mo Feng listened to his crazy roaring, but he didn’t say anything. He took another throwing spear and threw it at his heart. Hong Lingwan didn’t try to evade this time and he still laughed in crazed manner.

The spear entered his heart and exited his back; Hong Lingwan coughed blood while laughinh. After a few moments, his laughter slowed downa dn he closed his eyes slowly.

Mo Feng heard the system prompt sound and the leader of Ouroboros gang, Hong Lingwan is no finally dead.
